"Morning Jovanna banana." Lucy sang throwing a pillow at Jovie.

Jovie woke up with wide eyes and asked. "What time is it?"

"10:30." Lucy shrugged. "You overslept."

"What?!" Jovie exclaimed picking her phone from the side table. "You liar." She threw back the pillow with complete force. "It's 7:30 only."

"Only?" Lucy raised her brow.

"Yeah." Jovie shrugged and rushed to the bathroom leaving Lucy confused and amused at the same time.

After shower, dress up and breakfast they walked down the apartment.

Jovie was wearing white jumper paired with blue boyfriend jeans and Lucy was wearing a knee length floral one piece dress. They both completed their outfits with matching white sneakers.

They walked to school and straight up spent two hours in the class, bored and sleepy before something interesting happened.

"Hey shorty! Haven't seen you around before." They heard a voice from Jovie's right.

Jovie turned to see who it was but she didn't recognize him. He was a tall, broad guy with pale blue eyes and fair skin.

She ignored him and asked Lucy. "Do you know him?"

His eyes are scary.

"Oh! It's the new transfer student." Lucy simply replied.

"At this time of the year?" She asked, surprised.

"Hm. Some problem or rich people maybe." Lucy shrugged.

"Shorty has attitude more than her height, I see." The guy said again, this time coming closer to Jovie's desk.

"Well, I at least have it unlike other people." Jovie said rather calmly.

He just gave her an amused look and asked. "What's your name?"

She didn't bother to reply him because it only brought unwanted attention on her.

"Mm.. If you don't have a name, can I call you mine?" He smirked.

Those words somehow reminded her of Aidan and the first time they spoke.

What's up with these cheesy pickup lines?

"Are you talking to me?" Jovie asked raising her brow.

And before he could answer anything the teacher came in for the last class before lunch.

Ethan was waiting for them at their usual table. The environment looked quite tense between Lucy and him.

"How did the classes go?" Jovie asked Ethan to break the ice.

"Not bad." Ethan replied gazing at Lucy, who was not paying any attention to him.

He then switched his gaze and asked Jovie. "How's that new friend of yours? Call him sometimes to hangout."

"Talking about me?" They heard a voice coming from their left.

It was the same guy from the class.

"Who the hell are you?" Ethan asked with confusion.

"Her friend." He looked at Jovie and winked.

"Friend? Now define friend for me." Jovie raised her brow.

He took out his phone and a few seconds later he showed his phone screen to Jovie.

She looked at him with amusement.

Like seriously? This dude literally searched 'define friend' on google.

"It says bond of mutual affection but that's not the case here." Jovie rolled her eyes.

"But I even did what you said." He frowned.

"Just fucking leave her alone." Lucy scoffed.

Ethan smiled looking at angry Lucy and to annoy her he asked. "Never seen you around before. What's your name?"

"I am Felix but you can call me whatever you want." He winked at Ethan.

"Just stay in your limits." Lucy said shooting him with imaginary bullets.

"Uh! I didn't tell you anything though." Felix muttered.

"You tell my friends, you tell me. So get that clear." Lucy scowled.

Lucy is fun person but when she gets mad it's game over for everybody.

"That's a nice friendship I see there. I wish I was part of it." Felix said wiping off fake tears from his eyes.

Soon the bell rang notifying them to get ready for other periods and with that they moved to their respective classes ignoring him.

After finishing their school, Jovie was getting ready for her part time job.

Lucy entered the room and looked at Jovie who was busy checking herself out. "Is there something special today." She asked jumping on her bed.

"Nope." Jovie simply replied.

"So you're gonna lie to me on my face?" Lucy said in a hurtful voice.

Jovie rolled her eyes. "Shut up, drama queen."

"Now tell me who's that guy?" Lucy exclaimed.

"What guy?" Jovie asked playing dumb.

"Okay fine. Now you have new friends and you don't need me." Lucy said covering her face with pillow.

"Aidan." Jovie sighed.

Lucy put down her pillow and exclaimed. "I knew it! He likes you, you like him! Now have babies, c'mon."

Jovie's face was pure red remembering her conversation with Aidan last night.

"Shut up! I just have something to ask him." Jovie defended.

"I didn't know you were the one to make first move." Lucy grinned. "Good luck!" She got up and hugged Jovie.

This girl! What the hell is she thinking?

"Now you can call over Ethan." Jovie whispered.

Lucy pulled away from the hug and gave her a bitch please look.

"Good luck!" Jovie grinned and hugged her back.

Jovie waved her goodbye and walked to the library.

There she asked Mrs. Piper permission for early leave and successfully got it.

She completed her job and left to meet Aidan. She looked at the a board that read Crimson Cafe and looked at her watch 7:00 p.m. on dot.
