Jovie's mind was still unsettled. She wanted to ask Aidan many questions. She wanted answers. She felt that he has known her for a long time and that he was hiding something from her.

After the funeral, all the guests dispersed and Lucy and Jovie went to their apartment. Ethan was quiet the whole time. He was still salty about Lucy's behavior.

They ordered dinner and waited for it to arrive.

Jovie laid down on couch thinking how she'd meet Aidan again to ask him about that night. Lucy noticed her asked. "You like him, don't you?"

Jovie was confused with the sudden question.

"What?" Jovie asked.

"You are lost in his thoughts. Seems like you are falling for him." Lucy said with a stern look.

"I've only met him few times but it feels like I know him already. I don't know. I am just confused. And even his behavior is quite strange with me." She blurted out

Lucy bursted out laughing.

"Girl, girl calm down. What's wrong with you? I was just kidding but seems like you really have some feelings for him." Lucy said with an amused look. "My girl's growing up well huh."

"Just shut up." She scoffed.

Feelings? For him?

She was lost in her thoughts again remembering the time when they first met, when he told her she was beautiful, his voice from that night and that unexpected hug.

She was never uncomfortable with him even for once except for time the he spoke in alien language but it was more like annoying rather than uncomfortable but one thing she knew was that it was not a time for her to have romantic feelings towards someone when she herself was not in a stable condition and she had just met him few times only.

Jovie was walking alone on a lonely road. The area was destroyed and was surrounded by flames. She heard someone talk.

"A child shall be born with heart to heal but powers to kill."

She went closer. She saw a boy standing alone.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"I am an Angel.... Angel of...."

As the person was about to turn she woke up suddenly. She realized that she was dreaming.

Wierd dream. What was that? A heart to heal and powers to kill? Curse? And an Angel? Angel of what?

She was worried about the strange dream. She knew that it was not a normal dream since she can see visions from past and future.

It was already 6:45 a.m.. and she was happy that she had proper sleep for the first time in months but she had missed the chance of meeting Aidan at the lake. She was desperate for the answers and there was no other way to meet him except the lake and library!

After finishing her school she went straight to the library where she worked in a big hope to see Aidan but after a long wait he didn't come.

She got his number from the library register and decided to call him up later

On the way back home she had a debate with herself whether to call him or not.

She finally clicked the big green button.

~Ring~Ring~

"Who's this?" She heard a sexy deep voice.

She wanted to respond but her voice betrayed her.

"So, Miss Evans finally decided to call me up." (Aidan)

Her jaw dropped open. She could imagine him smirking sexily.

"Were you expecting my call?" (Jovie)

"Yeah but I was expecting it sooner." (Aiden)

"Good. Then you'd even know why did I call?" (Jovie)

"Why?" She heard him chuckling.

"Because I wanna know the truth." Jovie said calmly.

"Which truth?" Asked Aidan clearly trying to annoy her.

"Truth about you." Jovie said trying hard not to loose her shit.

"What about me?" (Aidan)

"About our baby that's in my tummy." Jovie blurted out angrily.

Aidan just started laughing at her answer.

Seconds later she realized what she had just told him. She indirectly talked to him about sex.

How embarrassing. Someone please bury me alive.

"Ahem. I - (Jovie)

"Aw. Look at that embarrassed red face." Aidan interrupted, teasing her.

"Listen, I called you beacuse I just want to know the truth about that night." Jovie muttered hiding her embarrassment.

"Well... About the night? I wouldn't mind." (Aidan)

"What?" (Jovie)

"About our baby." Aidan bursted out laughing.

Jovie ended the call immediately after.

Jovie was covered her face with her hands.

Goddamnit! I wanna jump right in front of that car.

Later she realized that she was on the middle of the road and everyone was staring at her. She started walking again with a straight face as if nothing happened. But deep inside she thought.

Why is today's day so embarrassing?

Her phone beeped in her hand. It was a message from Aidan.

See you tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Crimson Cafe. (Aidan)

Sorry. I have work at library. (Jovie)

You can ask an early leave for a day, can't you? Anyway, see you tomorrow. (Aidan)

How is this dude so sure that I'd say yes? Obviously because I want answer. But that's cheating. Ah! Whatever.

Okay, see you tomorrow.

When Aidan received the text he couldn't help but smile at his phone.

Trying hard to get Miss Evans.
