Get ready to cry this chapter

Grace got ready to use her form as well, but I cried out, stopping her.

"No! There's no way you're wasting your life for us!" I yelled out.

The shadow knights were getting closer, as Grace sighed and took out a sword.

"Charge!" I cried out.

Kawaii~Chan gotten better at sword fighting. She handled it like it was a part of her.

Morgan had more control over her Ultima Taiga form, as she moved gracefully.

Finn looked ready, her blue hair like an inferno of water braided into a long piece of string.

We all charge towards the Shadow Knights, as a black and white beam flies out of my hands.

Hundreds instantly fall to the ground.

I turned to my left to see Lucinda fighting Laurance.

"Oh my Irene," I mumble under my breath. I run towards them.

"Laurance! Please! Snap out of it. It's me, Lucinda!" Lucinda cried out, as she deflected a blow with her staff.

Tears were in her ruby eyes, her usually beautiful orange hair had twigs and dirt in it. Laurance wasn't backing down.

"Laurance!" I yell out.

Laurance looks in my direction and smirks. He left Lucinda where she was and came towards me. I held my sword up and ready.

Laurance then pressured a green crystal into my shoulder, the painful and burning sensation. I cried out in pain, but no one heard me.

At least, I thought no one did.

I was running along the edges of the forest, killing all of the soldiers in the left flank.

Jess forced me not to turn into my Divine Form, but I knew that there is going to be one day in this war where I will die using it.

Then, I heard a scream. Coming from everywhere and nowhere. It was like it was right next to me, but far away.

"Jessica," I breathed out.

I ran out to the middle flank against Max's orders, and saw her helpless underneath Laurance's grasp. In his hand was...

"An energy drain crystal..."

I traced the lilac symbol in the air, as it then went inside my body to where my heart was.

I'm sorry...

I shot a beam of light at Laurance, enough to stun him. He was knocked unconscious.

One of the Shadow Knights saw me do this, as the right hand man decided to call a retreat.

They all ran away, as Jess was breathing heavily. Aaron ran towards her, as he dropped his sword.

"Aphmau! Are you okay?" He asked.

"I-I'm fine..." She sighed. Then she turned and looked at me with horror.

"GRACE!"

I looked at her with horror, as she was in her divine form.

"No no no! You idiot! Why?!" I sobbed.

"He was going to kill you Jessica. If anything happened to you, I don't know what I would do," she smiles sadly. "This is where I have to say goodbye." 

"No! I refuse! There has to be a way!" I cried, Aaron holding me.

Grace just smiled, as took a emerald from her pocket, and tosses it to Lucinda.

"You know what to do with this," Grace said.

Lucinda's tears were finally rolling down her cheeks, as everyone else finally found us.

"Grace~Chan!" Kawaii~Chan cried out.

"Raise a glass to freedom, something they will never take away. No matter what they tell you..." Grace sang.

Max finally finished digging.

Aaron carried Grace's body, which was wrapped in a blanket. I held her now limp hand.

Grace is dead.

After her transformation wore out, her pulse stopped. I tried finding a way to keep her alive.

But alas, nothing worked.

Everyone was crying, as Aaron carefully placed Grace's body in the hole.

I was the only one that wasn't crying.

Not because I didn't care, but at this point, I didn't feel any emotions...

"Her transformation is complete. All we need is the boy," The shadow lord says.

He sat on his throne, with Sasha and everyone else kneeling before him.

"How many casualties?" He asked.

"754 father, along with General Zvahl and on their side, Grace Shadow," Sasha replied.

"Laurance Zvahl and Grace? Well, the deaths are not a problem. In fact, the fact that Grace is gone gives us an advantage. No matter then, we can just get more shadow knights to serve in the army. General Kai?"

"Yes sire?" Kai lifted his head.

"I think it's time where we finally introduce you to my daughter. You're job is to be a spy. We will strike a few weeks from now. We will have Sasha relay the message to you."

"Yes sir," Kai salutes.

"Meeting dismissed," Shad waves his hand in dismissal.

"Zenix?" Sasha called.

"Yeah?"

"What happens if we actually win this war. What would happen to us?" Sasha asked, tears in her obsibian eyes.

"Sasha look at me," Zenix says, as she holds both of her hands. "Nothing will seperate us, not death, or not this stupid war."

"Zenix, I'm scared," Sasha sighs.

Zenix smiles as reaches for a chain around her neck. There were two little decorations on her chain.

One was a golden charm with an S engraved in it.

And the other one, a diamond ring rested there.

"I didn't promise my life to you for nothing Sasha. Whether we win or lose this war, we will always have each other," Zenix says, as he kisses her hand.

"Well look what the cat dragged in," Kai smirked, looking at the whole scenario.

Zenix and Sasha turned to see Kai looking at them.

"Kai, th-this isn't what it looks like!" Zenix stutters.

"Its alright, it's not like I'll tell anyone," Kai chuckles. "Love is love, and I say screw the war. Everyone should be happy."

"But we can't go against Shad's orders. Gene is already MIA because he stood up to Shad. Something about being in love with one of the rebels... But still, if we rebel as well, we will be as good as dead," Zenix sighs.

"Don't worry, I have a plan. It requires a lot of work though," Kai assures them.
