Interview
Raw
October 13, 1997
Angel is getting ready for tonight, as she's going to have an interview with Jim Ross about her time in the World Wrestling Federation.
Over the weeks, she had gained respect from everyone in the locker room, not just the men and women. From the Hart Foundation to Luna Vachon. Her popularity is growing by the day, from defeating the Amazon, Chyna, who also gained her respect, including the fact she was the only person to escape from Kane.
Soon, Jim Ross is seen in the ring with a mic in his hands.
Jim: Tonight, we're going to have an interview with a woman who has made herself known for the past couple of weeks. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome, Angel.

Angel comes out, getting a loud reaction from the crowd, particularly the guys, as she makes her way to the ring. She smiles as she waves at them, getting a bigger reaction, as she climbs up the steps and enters the ring.
She goes up to JR as her theme fades.
JR: Thank you for coming here, Angel. First off, I would like to say it's a pleasure to meet you face to face.
Angel: You're too kind, JR, but thanks. It's a pleasure to meet you too.
JR: *smiles* Thank you. So, tell us, Angel. How were the few weeks you've been here in the World Wrestling Federation?
Angel: Well, imagine like you going somewhere, that you might not have been before and meeting people you idolize and some you may not know. That's how I felt for the first few weeks. But, I later gained some confidence and things are going well.
JR: Have you had any wrestler who you idolize when you were younger?
Angel: I have gone from one WWF Superstar to another, but the only that stuck with me more was the Undertaker. I understand that he's threatening, intimidating, and strong. But, he's just as amazing as he is scary when he gets into this ring. You have seen the monsters he fought over the years, from Psycho Sid, Yokozuna, Mabel, and Diesel. Plus, he can leap over the ropes, like he was a cruiserweight. He's both strong and agile at the same time. That's why I respect him and idolize him.
JR: It's interesting that you idolize the Undertaker, Angel. However, I'm not one to judge someone, so forgive me if you felt insulted.
Angel: *chuckles* Don't worry, JR. No need to apologize.
JR: Thank you. Many people are amazed and relieved you managed to escape from Kane last week. What were your thoughts when he came to the ring?
Angel: I was...I was scared. I've seen what he can do to people, but I never thought he would attack me as well. I always felt I should stay away from him, and after that encounter with him, I plan on making that very clear-
Suddenly, the lights went out, causing everyone to startle a bit.

Soon, they went red as the stage burst out. Then, Kane and Paul Bearer came out and made their way to the ring. Angel, without a second thought, told JR to get out of the ring. He did as she stayed inside while Kane climbs up the apron and stared at her.
He goes over the top rope and walks forward a bit before stopping. He raises his hands before dropping them, causing the ring post to be set ablaze. The lights go back on, as his theme fades.
Paul: You claimed that you tried to stay away from Kane? Yet, last week, he came after you, so I think your little plan didn't work so well.
Angel is not trying to look scared, but inside, she knew, and even Kane knew, she was terrified.
Paul: But you, girl, managed to avoid a Tombstone from my son, as he Tombstone many before you. I would say that you have a lot of guts, but you couldn't take it as any victim would.
Angel: *frown a bit* Like you taking a fireball to the face by the Undertaker?
The crowd oohs as they remembered Taker getting revenge on Bearer for his betrayal.
Paul: Don't you say that name to me, girl. And don't you mention what he did to me.
Angel: Really? What he did to you? How about what you did to him? He respected you, and you decided to turn your back on him, got your faces burned, and tried to emotionally blackmail him into bringing you back.
Paul: You say that like you can understand anything. Yet, you can't understand what Kane has been through after his brother set their funeral home on fire, killing their parents and rendering Kane physically and emotionally scarred.
Angel: I can.
The crowd pops as Paul was a bit shock. Kane tilts his head a bit out of curiosity.
Angel: I was raised in an orphanage when I was a little girl. I didn't know my parents, neither their names, what they look like, nor why I was out there.
I stayed in the orphanage, growing up and caring for the children there like I was their big older sister, knowing I was the only family they have until they get adopted. So, yeah, I can understand Kane, and I know the feeling of not having parents as a child, but I know within my heart that Undertaker would never set the funeral home on fire, without any sign of evil in his mind.
The crowd was amazed by her promo. Kane just stood there silently, but his eyes tell a different story. He's wondering why does he feel something familiar about Angel. His father was wondering that as well.
Paul: Well...I have never this speechless in my life. But, the facts don't lie. Kane here is living proof that he survived and that his brother, your idol, is a murderer.
Angel: If he was telling the truth, that is. You said it yourself. He's emotionally scarred. How would he know that it was Undertaker who did it, without you influencing him?
Paul: Don't you use my words against me, girl! Kane! Destroy her!
JR: Oh no!
Jerry: Get out of there, Angel!
Kane didn't move. He just stared at Angel intensely, making her uncomfortable.
Paul: Kane! Do as your told! Destroy that woman!
Kane didn't listen.
Paul: Kane!
Before something happens, the lights went out.

The lights turned purple as the crowd pops. Angel, seeing the opportunity, slid out of the ring and goes through the crowd.
Paul was furious that Kane let Angel getaway. Soon, the titantron changes to somewhere dark and Undertaker comes into view.
Undertaker: Paul. You now experience being put down in your place, even when it's not me who was doing it.
Paul gets even more furious.
Undertaker: What Angel said you, Paul, is correct. If you claimed that I was the one who set the funeral home on fire, what makes you think we won't believe that you must've put those thoughts into Kane, as he was in a vulnerable state? Looks like someone can see through your lies, Paul. And that someone is one with a pure soul.
The crowd cheers that he was giving praises to Angel. Paul was angry as Kane stared at his older brother.
Undertaker: And there's another thing Angel said that was correct. That I will never set the funeral home on fire with any darkness in my mind. Especially...that I know something you never said when you said our story.
Paul gets confused as the crowd wonders what he's talking about.
Undertaker: Kane...do you remember when you and I, as young children, were excited that our mother was expecting a new child?
The crowd went into a frenzy. Paul goes pale, as Kane stares at his brother.
Undertaker: Our mother was pregnant at the time, and not by him *points at his father* but by my father, and that the child was going to be a girl had she came out of our mother's womb and lived. Unfortunately, the funeral home was set on fire, and our parents died, along with our sister.
The crowd felt their hearts break a bit as Undertaker looked a bit emotional but he kept his composure. Kane looks down a bit, remembering that time.
Undertaker: Our parents haven't yet given her a name. I was distraught that I would never get to carry our baby sister and see the beautiful smile our mother had when she sees us playing with her. I believe that you have the same feeling as well, Kane.
Paul: Don't let his words affect you, Kane! He's trying to get into your head!
Kane just looks down, remembering those times.
Undertaker: You never told him about that, did you, Paul? Like always, you tried to make me the villain, when you're nothing but a liar. To me, to Kane, to my parents, and my Creatures of the Night. You're nothing but the schum of the Earth. And Kane...I will not fight you. For our parents, and our unborn sister. That is a promise.
Soon, the titantron screens cut away as Undertaker's theme resumes.
