Khushi shivered, hugging Arnav.

"Khushi, relax... you are safe... I'm here" Arnav said caressing her back.

He waited until she cooling down herself. She looked at him raising her head. Arnav blinked at her. she again hugged him tightly.

"Let's go, Arnav... I don't want to be here... take me from here" she said fearfully.

"Yeah... we will go but before that, we have to hand over Charles to the police"

"Haan... hand him over to the police... don't leave him..." she said closing her eyes.

"What happened Khushi?"

"He hit me... threatened me..."

"Did he hit you?" Arnav asked gritting his teeth.

She nodded yes.

"What else did he do?"

"He said he would kill me if I don't listen to him"

"Why did he do so?"

"He asked me to marry him..."

"Whaaat?" he was shocked.

"He said he will kill me if I don't marry him"

"What the...hell..."

"He had finished arrangements to take me to the St.Gallen district today evening. Thank God you came. Or else, you might not have seen me alive"

"Shhhh... I came... relax"

In the meanwhile,

Jeff did hit Charles harshly.

"Why did you kidnap her?"

"Why are you hitting me? who are you for Khushi?"

"I'm her friend..."

"Being a Swiss, how could you hit me and help Indians?"

"At first, I'm a human... and I won't stand such a man like you. Why did you kidnap her?"

"I love her..."

"Whaaaat?"

"Yes... When I tried to confess my love, she went to India. I thought she will come back to Swiss but she didn't. I saw her three days ago at the railway station. That's when I got to know she got married. I was heartbroken... I couldn't tolerate her being with someone. I didn't expect she would marry because I know she was not at all interested in marriage nor wanted to go back to India. I don't know what made her marry the man who is her husband" he said irritatingly.

"So that, you kidnapped her?"

"I didn't expect you will come to my place. I thought she won't have a choice other than loving me if I had taken her somewhere far away from her husband..."

"You are stupid. You should have understood why the girl who didn't have the interest to marry now. It's because she loves her husband. Then how would she love you?"

"I would have made her love me. You spoilt it. if you would not have helped her husband to find me, I would have made it possible. She is my Angle... Because of you, I missed her. Because of you, my efforts went in vain. I curse you..."

Before he said anything, Jeff punched his face.

At the same time, they saw police coming. Jeff went to them and told them about Charles. The police wrote the statement and asked Khushi to sign on it. Khushi looked at Arnav.

"Sing in it, Khushi"

"Should I be in Swiss until the case gets over if I filed a case on him?" Khushi asked.

"of course, ma'am... you have to stay in Swiss until the case gets over," the police officer said.

"No... I don't want to be here anymore. I want to go back to India" Khushi said.

"Then, you can't file the complaint on him"

"But, Khushi, why do you want to leave Swiss?"

"I don't want to be here Arnav... let's go back"

"Do you want to leave him freely?" Arnav asked unbelievably.

"I don't care about him but only about us..."

"He can do nothing, Khushi because he will be in prison"

"I don't care about it whether he rots in prison... we will go to India"

That's when they heard,

"You go to India. I will file a complaint on him" Jeff said.

Arnav and Khushi looked at him frowning.

"When he kidnapped Khushi, he stole my mobile phone from my house, I suppose. Please search for it, officer" Jeff said.

Arnav looked at him with confusion. They knew Charles didn't enter the building. He called Khushi on her phone and brought her to Holligen from outside of the building. Then why Jeff is conflicting with the statements?

The police officer nodded yes and searched here and there. He found a phone in the cupboard.

"Is this your phone?"

"Yes, officer. This is my phone"

"Ok, you can file a complaint on him. we will take action"

Jeff nodded yes. The police arrested Charles and took him with them.

"What happened, Jeff? How did your mobile come into his house?" Khushi asked.

Arnav chuckled.

"Jeff himself kept it there. Am I right, Jeff?"

"Yeah... he should get punished. How dare he come to the apartment to kidnap someone in which I'm the president...?" Jeff said.

Arnav raised his brows wondering. He thought Jeff wanted to help them but he did that in the EGO clash. Arnav understood that.

"Thank you for your help, Jeff," Arnav said.

"I will arrange your tickets to India. You don't need to worry about it and you don't have to worry about your flat also... I will find a good family to stay on the rental basis in your flat"

"No, Jeff... just sale the flat" Khushi said.

"No, Khushi... as a friend, I don't want you to do that. Unfortunately, the situation is not pleasant now but it won't be like this forever. This is also your country and we are your people. Please don't wash the relationship up of us"

Khushi was about to say something, Arnav pressed her shoulder.

"Don't make a decision when you are confused" Arnav said.

"Yes, Khushi, don't decide anything in haste" Jeff requested.

Khushi nodded ok, closing her eyes.

"Arnav, take Khushi to Bern. I will come finishing the police formality" Jeff said.

Arnav nodded ok and left the place. They got into the car. In no time, Khushi hugged him with emotions. Arnav patted her back.

"I'm sorry. I should not have gone to meet him..."

"Khushi, relax. He is your friend after all..."

"He was... not anymore... he became my enemy," she said disappointedly.

"Leave it... don't think of him anymore"

"Do you know how he kidnapped me?"

"Yeah... he called you through phone call when I went to the market. You came downstairs to meet him. Making you unconscious, he took you to Holligen"

"How do you say exactly as if you had seen everything in front of your eyes?"

Arnav smiled at her.

"Did you inquire about me?"

"What do you think?"

"Yeah... you would have searched for me... but how did you know it's none other than Charles who kidnapped me?"

"I don't know who kidnapped you. when I inquired about you, a girl told me you smiled at the person who was in the Ferrari car. I made sure that the person should be your friend if you smiled at him. So, I thought to inquire about your friends. I don't know any of your friends other than Charles. So, I thought I can get your friends to list from Charles. As you said he resides in Holligen, I decided to come to Holligen to meet Charles. Jeff brought me to Holligen. He helped me in this wholly."

"I'm sorry, I put you in trouble"

"What was your mistake, Khushi?"

"I would not have trusted him"

"He IS ... no, he WAS your friend. So, you trusted him..." Arnav consoled her.

They reached Bern and came to their house. Arnav closed the door and Khushi hugged him as if she was waiting for it.

"I thought I won't see you again," she said feeling sad.

"Do you think I would easily give up on you? I would have come to the place even though he had taken you to any corner of the world"

She kissed his cheek not breaking the hug.

"Let's go back to India. I don't like to be here..." she said.

"Ok... Jeff will arrange our tickets. We will go back as soon as possible"

"Till then we are not going to step out of the house"

"I have no problem... in fact, I too want the same" he smiled.

Khushi snuggled in his chest chuckling.
