Part 33 Punishment

Arnav was relaxing on his bed. He caressed the bed on his left side smilingly. Next week Khushi will be with him here. He hugged the pillow all smilingly. What a big relaxation...! After knowing the truth, she didn't make him wrong. It shows how truly she loves him. She is so sweet. She considers his friends like hers. Even though Khushi forgave Shyam he was not right. He has no right to lie or he has the right to change someone. He should not have interfered with Khushi's personal space. At the same time, Arnav thanked Shyam inwardly. Because of him, Khushi came close to him forgetting herself.

Arnav wanted to call Khushi. But it was already late. She must be sleeping. He decided to talk to her the next morning in the office.

The next day

When Arnav came to the office, Khushi was already there in her cabin. He went to her cabin directly.

*Hi, good morning* he wished.

*Good morning, baby...* she smiled.

*Me and baby? * Arnav chuckled.

*For me...you are...* she said raising her brows.

*Hope you had a good sleep last night...* he sat on the chair in front of her.

*Yup...never better*

*That's good. * he kept a box on her table.

Khushi raised her brows questioningly.

*Your mother-in-law gave it to you... jalebi*

*Wow...* Taking one from the box, she munched it.

*Thank you so much...* she said taking a bite.

Arnav nodded yes, pressing his lips.

*Arnav, I would like to have a tea party with your friends in the short break* she said while eating.

*Anything important...? * Arnav asked.

*Nothing... I want you to invite them on my behalf for the party*

*Sure sure...*

*Invite Shyam also...*

*Yup*

Arnav was about to go,

*And... *

*We will have a lunch party... all alone...only we two... am I right? * he tilted his head.

*My God... how do you know? * she asked excitedly.

*I know* Arnav grinned.

*Smart fellow...* she smiled.

Arnav left her cabin smilingly. He went to Aman's cabin.

*Good morning Dude...* Aman said.

*Khushi wants me to invite you for a tea party...*

*Me? * Aman asked unbelievably.

*Our friends...* Arnav smiled.

*Oh... Did you invite Akash and NK? *

*Not yet...I'm coming to your cubicle straight from Khushi's cabin* Arnav said.

*Ok... I will be there...when? *

*In the tea break...*

Arnav invited the other three too. They were curious to have tea with their boss. Don't they get respect from the staff after having the party with their boss?

Short break

That was awaited time for Arnav's friends. They waited outside of Khushi's cabin for Arnav. After he came, they entered Khushi's cabin.

*Hi...* Khushi welcomed them in common.

They sat on the couch. Khushi left her BOSS seat and sat with them. She herself served tea and snacks for them.

*Thank you...* they said.

*Thank you for coming...* Khushi said.

Taking the marriage invitation from the table, she invited them, giving it to them.

*I'm inviting you officially because Arnav's friends are my friends too...* she said.

Not only Arnav but also them felt proud because they knew it's not easy to get GI's Boss's friendship. They thanked Arnav inwardly.

Arnav looked at his watch. Only two minutes left for break time to get over.

They finished having tea and got up from the couch.

*We are getting back to our work* Aman said.

*One second* Khushi took a cover from her table and gave it to Shyam.

Shyam frowned at her confusingly so did Arnav. Khushi leaned on the table, folding her hands. Arnav saw a different expression on her face.

Shyam opened the cover. It was his TRANSFER ORDER.

*Ma'am...? * Shyam stammered.

Arnav snatched it from his hand and read. All the others have also glanced at it.

*You lied to me...*

Shyam tried to say something, Khushi stopped him showing her palm.

*No doubt I'm thankful to you... because of your lie, I got a good life partner even though the lie is a hurtful one. But...as a BOSS I can't take your lie easily...*

Shyam gulped down.

*How dare you lied to me? What do you think of me...? Am I dumb? Who are you to change my character? Haan? * she shouted.

Shyam was taken back but Arnav didn't even move a bit. The other trio stood motionless.

*I'm Khushi Gupta... I no need a manager like you who could lie to his Boss. I will remember your lie whenever I see you in front of me...I so wanted to fire you... but, you are Arnav's friend. I spoke to your daughter once... she doesn't want to know her father is a liar. That's why I didn't fire you*

Arnav knew she should have thought standing in a DAUGHTER'S place. Doesn't she know how it feels if the father is not up to her expectations?

*From tomorrow onwards, your place is Godown. You will be happy there because I won't be there to order you. I hope you join there tomorrow...*

Shyam nodded yes slowly.

*And...I would like to tell you something...*

All of them looked at her.

*I and Arnav are destined for each other. So, we would have married even though you didn't lie to me...* she said, looking at Arnav who was silently gazing at her.

*Now, get back to work...* she ordered.

They moved out of her cabin one by one. Arnav also walked out. He stopped at the entrance and looked at her. He saw Khushi studying him. He left her cabin silently.

Khushi sighed. She knew Arnav would be upset with her but she had no choice. As a Boss, she has to do that. Shyam was still in GI. It's only because he was Arnav's friend. She can't do more than that.

Shyam was sitting in his cubicle all disappointed. He didn't expect this. He became relaxed from last night. It would be better if she would have fired him. he is going to work in the godown where there is no opportunity to improve himself. He started working. Before leaving the office, he has to hand over all the reports he was working on, to the Boss. So, he started working for it because he knew there won't be any change in Khushi's decision.

Khushi's mind didn't get into the work. She was disturbed. If she is the old Khushi, she would not have cared about anything. But now, it's about Arnav. Don't know what he thinks about her action against Shyam. She was the Boss. No one has the right to cheat on her no matter what the reason is. Arnav is not a cancer patient... she was damn happy about it and it was her personal matter. She couldn't connect it with the professional matter. The responsibility given to her is something special, no one could get. She is the CEO of GI. She should not make decisions in the office with personal emotions. She sighed.
