3rd Person's POV

Right now, Team Natsu are on the way to a job. A town near Crystalline Forest was requesting some mages to help protect the town in case mage comes to destroy it. Apparently a very powerful mage was destroying villages near the town and the mayor heard that their town may be next. So the mayor hired people from Fairy Tail to help defend it in case.

"Thank you very much for coming over her. To be honest the recent amount of dark energy coming from the forest is increasing and the town is very afraid." The mayor said.

"No problem sir, but about the recent attacks on the villages nearby..." Erza started.

"Yes, what is it?"

"Do you know what the mage attacking the villages looks like?"

"I've only heard rumors from people that actually survived after seeing the mage but they all know she's a girl around the same age as you all." He replies. "But why ask?"

"You see, we've actually been looking for a girl for the past year and we've found nothing. We were hoping it may have been her." Lisanna answered.

"I doubt that girl is the girl your looking for. You see the people that come back alive also say one more thing, 'She is a murderous and heartless killer. She kills everything in her way including women and child.' That's what they say so I'm sure its not the girl your looking for, I'm sorry." The mayor finishes. "Tell me about the girl your looking for and maybe I can help you find her."

"Thank you sir. She has blond hair and is a Celestial Spirit mage. Please tell us or our guild if you find anything." Natsu says. As the team wave to the mayor they walk out of the building and out to the streets. But a while after they left the mayor remembered something else the survivors said. 'She uses terrifying dark Celestial magic and has golden blonde hair with a hint of red.' He remembers. 'There's no way that could be the girl those kids are looking for. They said she was a killer. There's absolutely no way.'

To Lucy and Zeref

Lucy's POV

"I can't believe they fell for it so easily." I say as I watch Team Natsu through the lacrima. They're just mindlessly wondering through the town. It's turning out exactly like how Zeref predicted.

"Lucy, catch." I turn around to see Zeref throwing the celestial keys to me. I looked at him with a confused face.

"What's this for?" When I turned immortal I left a lot of things behind me, wanting to start a new life, and one of those things were my Celestial Spirits. Zeref knows this so why is he giving it back to me?

"I know you'll hate this but you need to go back." He told me.

"What? No. No way am I going back there." He's referring to me going back to the guild.

"We have no choice. They are able to get something we can't. And we need that for the plan. You do want revenge right?" He looked at me seriously in the eye.

".....Fine. But only 1 week. After that, even if I didn't get what we need I don't care what happens, I'm coming back and you'll need to find another way to get the item." I looked at him in the eye too.

"Ok." A cloud of smoke cover me and before it disappears I'm changed in to my old clothes from back then.

"This better be worth it." I quietly murmured to myself, but it looks like Zeref heard be because he smirked and said,

"Oh it with be, princess, trust me." I nodded and walked out to where Team Natsu was. 'Revenge is sweet.'

Meanwhile, with Team Natsu

"Natsu, do you really think that Lucy would be here?" Lisanna asked.

"To be honest, I have no idea. But I really hope so. I really want to apologize to her for everything I've done." Natsu admitted.

"Not just you but the whole gui-" Erza was interrupted by a revolting smell. The entire team covered their mouths to try to not breathe it in.

"Ughh... What's that smell?" Lisanna asked.

"I don't know. But it's coming from that church over there." Natsu pointed towards a church that was a few blocks away but it was high enough to see the top of it.
Once team arrived at the church they were certain the smell was coming from there. Erza opened the door only to see the most horrid thing they could ever see.

There was a pile of dead rotting bodies in the center of the room. The smell they were smelling outside was the smell of bodies rotting away. The team all had disgusted looks on their faces. Lisanna started vomiting at the sight of the dead bodies. They looked at the pile and they saw a recent body had been thrown in the pile, the team recognized the person and it was the mayor they had met before.

"W-what is this?!- Ughh..." Lisanna tried to ask but she was still disgusted by the sight of the bodies.

"I don't know, but everybody, look around the place, see if you find anything." Erza commanded as she went to help Lisanna. Natsu and Gray nodded and split up and walked around looking for anything they could find for a clue.
Suddenly, Natsu recognized a smell, but it wasn't the smell from the pile of bodies, it was one he remembered was familiar and comforting. Natsu ran to the front and looked at the back of the alter. Natsu stopped moving realizing who it was.

"Hmm, Natsu did you find something?" Erza, with Lisanna walked up to where Natsu was. Their eyes opened wide as they saw who it was.

"L-Lucy...." Natsu stuttered. She was unconscious and she was bleeding all over. Natsu was surprised to see her, especially here, in a room full of dead bodies. Natsu saw all the cuts and scars she had. All he could feel was anger and range towards the people that did that to her.

"Natsu, take her back to the guild and help her. Lisanna, Gray and I will handle things here." Erza commanded.

"Got it." Natsu immediately picked up Lucy and he ran back to the guild to get her help. 'Lucy.... Who did this to you?'

With Zeref

3rd Person's POV

Zeref was watching Lucy's progress by looking into a lacrima that showed Natsu running back to the guild with Lucy in his arms.

"Now that the plans started I swear I won't let it end until Fairy Tail is destroyed. After all it's the deal we had, right princess?"
