hi sorry i went on a fat ass break for what feels like 30 years. i kinda lost interest in writing this, but i'll try to get the rest of the story up since i already have the concepts for it.

it was finally friday. tyler was up in their bedroom, filling out some paperwork he had from work. it was a long week for him. he didn't know what happened, but everything seemed to stress him out more than it usually had, so he ended up falling behind at work.

josh on the other hand was downstairs, watching something on the disney channel in his pyjamas because it was the only thing on that gave him interest. he just needed to kill some time before the party at debby's.

even though he knew tyler would be upset with him, josh also knew that it would pass over eventually. hopefully anyways.

a commercial came on and josh stood up and went into the kitchen, grabbing a bag of cheeto puffs before going back to the couch. a few minutes later, he heard tyler going down the stairs. he then went into the living room to see josh on the couch with some cheeto puffs on the couch. he sighed, slightly annoyed because he knew josh wouldn't clean up the cheeto dust until he was finished eating and it would probably leave a stain.

"im gonna go to bed, i just came down here to say good night and that i love you," tyler spoke, rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand.

"mkay, g'night ty. love you too."

tyler smiled and bent over to kiss him before going back upstairs, into their bedroom.

once josh heard the door shut, he got up and went into the small storage closet they had. he took off his pyjamas to reveal some black ripped skinny jeans and a nirvana shirt. he grabbed his backpack that he used when he went to college and filled it with the bag of cheeto puffs, some brisk, and a pack of m&m cookies that was half filled because he didn't want to make so much noise just opening it.

he zipped up the bag and slung it over his shoulder, taking out his phone and opening debby's contact to send her a message.

josh: come pick me up if you want to me be there tonight.

debby pulled up in her red toyota, josh got into the car, looking back as if tyler would be able to see him. once he closed the door, debby pressed play on her cd player and "Suck it and See" by the arctic monkeys started to blast out.

"god, hello would be nice," josh laughed, reaching to turn the volume down to a minimum.

"hello, joshua," debby mocked, turning the music up a bit louder and continuing to drive.

they sat in comfortable silence for a good five minutes before debby asked, "does tyler know you're here?"

josh looked down at his lap then back up, shaking his head. "no, he doesn't."

debby hummed and just kept driving. they fell silent until they reached debby's house.

anyways, they got out and went inside. not too many people showed up. and the people were there, josh didn't recognize. he followed debby to the backyard were they had a whole ass smoking area. but only because she didn't want her house smelling like weed for days.

she and josh walked over there and sat down on a lawn chair debby had put out there. debby grabbed them both two pre-rolled blunts and took out a lighter.

they began to smoke and let the high kick in. they caught up with each other's lives, even though they probably wouldn't even remember what they were talking about the next day. someone had the idea to start a fire and so they did. josh and debby went inside to find things for smores and ended up eating an entire giant bar of chocolate before going back outside where the other guests were.

josh felt great. he hadn't been high since college, and he honestly missed the feeling of it. he missed feeling on top of the world, even if it were for a few hours.

"im cold," he thought out loud.

debby looked at him with sleepy, red eyes. without thinking of her decision, she went over and got on top of josh, sharing the lawn chair with him. they moved to be a bit more comfortable since there wasn't much space for the two of them.

"you still cold?" debby asked.

josh thought for a bit. "yeah."

they bursted out laughing as if it were the funniest thing they've ever heard.

debby and josh ended up falling asleep outside next to the fire, which eventually dwindled and was only glowing.
