tyler was finishing putting some things into his suitcase for the trip he had to go to. josh was sitting on the living room couch, watching him come in and out of the house. he tried to distract himself from thinking something bad would happen to tyler, but it didn't work.

the only reason why he was worried was because tyler had to drive all the way from oregon to texas. he wasn't able to get a plane ticket in time. not just that, the ticket would've been more expensive and he was trying to save up money to pay for josh's top surgery which would be coming up in a few weeks.

josh had asked if he could come along but tyler said that he couldn't, his boss didn't allow it.

and now josh had to stay home for about a week with dallon and brendon to keep him company.

not that he was complaining about it. he loved dallon and brendon a lot. but dallon usually only took care of him for hours at a time, not for days. tyler would be gone for nearly a week and josh had never gone that long without him. sure they'll totally be able to call and facetime, but that was all up to tyler. because josh knew he couldn't bother him during his meetings.

sighing, the boy threw his head back on the armrest of the couch, watching tyler this way because he knew ty didn't like it when he sat like that.

and as soon as tyler walked back into the house, he saw josh, sighed, and walked over to him. he grabbed his arms and pulled him up so he was sitting normally before placing both hands on his cheeks and giving him a kiss. josh smiled, but tried to pull away to joke with tyler.

"what's wrong, babe," tyler asked, resting his head in josh's lap.

"nothing," josh ran his fingers through tyler's hair. "'m just gonna miss you."

tyler frowned. he kissed josh's hand and looked up at him. "i will too, baby. but i'll be back before you know it, okay?"

josh faked a smile while tyler got off of him and went to grab the home phone. he called dallon to make sure he was coming, and as soon as he hung up, he told josh that he was leaving and dallon would be there in about five minutes.

the boy nodded and got off the couch, walked towards tyler and gave him a tight hug. tyler hugged him back, pressing a quick kiss to his forehead before saying goodbye and leaving.

josh wanted to cry, but restrained himself from doing so. tyler would be okay. tyler was doing this for him.

he heard a honk and his phone buzzed too. he ran to the window to see tyler pulling out of the driveway and waving to him.
