once josh was done binge watching his show, it was 2 in the morning. tyler was still there, even though he had to work in four hours. he didn't want to go to sleep until he knew what was going on with josh.

but josh didn't even know where to begin if he were to tell tyler what was wrong.

"you okay, baby?" tyler asked while he scooted over to josh. he had started to cry a bit.

josh just shook his head as he continued to cry, not bothering to wipe his tears away. the memories of his abusive father kept coming back to him. he didn't want to remember him anymore. he hated him with all his heart. there was nothing he could do to forgive him.

"josh, breath for me," he heard tyler say. he had moved to kneeling in front of the crying boy, holding his hand.

the boy smiled sadly and nodded, tears still running down his face. he took a deep breath and attempted to match his pace with tyler's. he was doing it for a good five seconds before his breath hitched and he started sobbing.

tyler looked up at him with sad eyes and held his hands tighter to show that he was there for him. but also because he too was scared. josh hadn't cried like this in front of him in almost two years.

"my pills," josh managed between sobs and quick breaths.

tyler stood up and went to the kitchen where josh had placed his pills earlier that night. he quickly made his way over as soon as he got them and took two out, placing them in his palm and sitting next to his boy.

"look at me, j.," tyler said, cupping his jaw. josh looked at him, eyes puffed and red, face flushed, and eyelashes thick.
"im here. you're gonna be okay."

josh smiled and opened his mouth for tyler to place the pills on his tongue. tyler chuckled a bit and did just that. he handed josh the water he didn't finish to down the pills.

after a few minutes, josh calmed down and decided to tell tyler what he was thinking.

he explained everything he could. from the memories to the nightmares he's been having.

and tyler understood. he knew that josh had a fear of his father. he should've know that's what was bothering him. not something that he did. stupid tyler.

they talked everything out. josh may have cried a little bit while doing so, but talking about it always helped him.
