jordan drove to the house josh and tyler shared as quickly as he could. he hated seeing his brother, josh, upset so he always tried to cheer him up. he knew what happened when josh was upset and he hated it.

when he arrived, he dug into his pocket for the spare key tyler let him have. before opening the door, he heard thuds coming from a distant room. jordan immediately realizes that it was josh punching the wall.

swinging the door open, jordan called out his brothers name in hopes to have the thuds stop. but they didn't. in fact, they got louder and he was able to hear sobs as well.

jordan ran down the hall and peeked into one of the spare rooms. josh was sitting with his arms wrapped around his knees, staring aimlessly at nothing, tears streaming down his face.

walking over, jordan sat down and engulfed josh into a hug. josh tried to hold in his cries, but failed and started sobbing again. he had known jordan would come for him, but there was always that small part of his brain that never believed it.

"your hands, j," jordan said, carefully taking his brothers hand into his. tears sprang to his eyes. josh had promised he wouldn't hurt himself like this again. he didn't want josh to be like he was before he moved out. jordan got up and went into their bathroom, grabbing hydrogen peroxide, a few rags and band-aids of course.

when he came back into the room, josh had his head hidden between his knees and his arms were wrapped more tightly around his knees.

jordan sighed and sat down once more. he grabbed josh's thumb which wasn't as injured as the rest and began to clean his wound.

not gonna lie, josh started crying more because that shit hurts. but also because he didn't know why his brother cared about him so much, he never knew why. he had it in his mind that it should be the other way around.

when the tears started to die down, jordan held his brothers hands again. "you're gonna be okay, im here now."

josh nodded and gave his brother a small smile.

"let's go get some ice cream or something."
