Rose's POV
"Erik don't you think we should have been home for their first day of school?"
I asked as out carriage was almost at our home.
"You know we had to leave to meet with the DeChantys about our deal. Plus our night away from the children was very nice."
I blushed as he winked at me knowing the sinful things we had done the previous night.
"Please darling don't remind me."
"Why not?"
I leaned in to his ear.
"Because you saying it makes me want it to happen right now."
He smirked but then our moment of lust was interrupted by the carriage stopping.
I sighed.
"Who's going to tell Amelia?"
"You should, your bond has grown and it won't be separated anytime soon."
"This new deal might break that bond. Why did we have to get our children involved? How could this not have been settled between adults?"
"It's what's best. I know it might not seem ideal but it's what's best for us and her."
I nodded then got out of the carriage to get my bags and then go break my daughters heart.

Amelia's POV
I sat in the study reading the book Fredrick gave me last night after dinner. It is very fascinating and romantic, it almost reminded me of our night last night. I've been on the same page for more than an hour because of my thoughts interrupting my reading causing me to constantly restart the page. My thoughts keep going back to our dance we shared. The way his hands held my waist and how his strong arms lifted me as if I was a feather. Who knew that you could easily fall in love with someone just like that.
After finishing the page I heard the enormous front door open then close meaning that mother and father where finally home! I have so much I want to tell mother. I run down the stairs to meet them in the living room.
"Mother! Father!"
I said as I ran up first to my father and gave him a big hug then my mother.
"Ah hello little one! How was your first day of school?"
My father asked as if I was a little child which I guess I was acting like.
"Amazing! This school is perfect for me and Charles!"
"Speaking of where is he?"
He asked.
"In his room starting another book."
He gave me another hug then left to go see him.
"Mother I have so much I want to tell you! Can we talk in the study?"
"Yes darling."
As mother set down her bag we both walked up to the study.
"Alright what has you so excited?"
She asked sitting with me on the couch.
"Yesterday I met Patrick and Fredrick at school. Then in Theater class me and Fredrick where paired up for an assignment that we have to preform tomorrow, so I thought it was a good idea to study and prepare for this and invited him over last night. After finishing our performance he continued to compliment me on my performance and how I should never think other wise. And we kissed."

Rose's POV
They what?! O god she loves him, this is going to make everything worse. I hope she will understand although she probably won't.
As she continued to tell me about how Meg's son and her bonded I couldn't help but feel like a horrible mother and friend. This is going to break her heart.
"Amelia, I have some new for you that is very important."
She nodded and continued to smile.
"When me and your father where in Manhattan we met with the DeChanty's for a business deal. Unfortunately it involves you."
"What do you mean mother?"
"Amelia, the deal was an arraigned marriage between you and Patrick next week."
Her smile and soft eyes completely dropped into mixes of emotions of sadness and confusion.
"W-What do you mean M-Mother? How can Father just decide something like that without my knowledge? Mother please don't make me do this I love Fredrick and I can't break his heart like this! Mother please! Stop this!"
She continued to sob as I looked at her with worried and saddened eyes.
"Amelia as much as it pains me to see you like this and to know how you feel, I can't do anything. This was a deal Raoul made with your father to keep peace in the family, knowing that your father is not quite fond of him. I hate to have you involved in this but I have no power. I'm sorry."
She held on to my dress and continued to sob not knowing or caring about responsibilities though this marriage. She loves another man and she is conflicted. Not a good storm to be brewing.
As I tried to soothe her Erik walked in the room. O god this will not end well at all.
She looked up at him wish saddened eyes. Soon hate filled them.
"How could you! How can you make a deal and completely change and wreck my life?! It's my life and you can't control it! I'm not one of your workers you can just boss around! I'm your daughter! I should choose who I marry! Not you! It's not your job!"
She screamed then ran out of the room. As I ran after her she quickly ran out of our home and slammed the door. My poor little girl.

Amelia's POV
As I ran out of the house I knew exactly where I was running to. I need to see him.
As I arrived at his home I knocked on the door softly. As the door opened he smiled then his face shifted into concern seeing that I had been crying. I wrapped my arms around him as he let me inside and closed the door.
"What's wrong my angel?"
I cried into his chest softly.
"My father..."
I couldn't continue I would hurt me too much to see him broken hearted.
"Shh, it's alright I'm here."
I cried on as he gently lifted me and laid me down on the couch.
"Are your parents here?"
I asked curiously.
"No they are upset at the news that I gave them today."
"What's that?"
He sighed then looked down.
I tilted his head up and kissed his lips tenderly.
"Please tell me."
I said softly.
He sighed deeply then said.
"I've been drafted into the war."
My heart dropped.
I couldn't comprehend what I just heard.
"No, you can't be. Please you can't leave me! Not you not the only man I've ever loved!"
I desperately clung to him. He wrapped his arms around me protectively.
"I leave in five days. But I will fight everyday so I can come back and see you again. I'm not going to let you down. I promise with my whole heart. I love you Amelia."
"I love you too Fredrick."
I said then he kissed me gently letting me forget all of the pain from today disappear into nothing. All I felt in that moment was utter love and bliss, and I never want it to end.
