Third person's POV

Today, Marcus, Io, Thomas and Yoshi were all outside of a building, with their Partner Digimon next to them. The building is covered in green slimes and had its glass windows and doors broken.

"Just look at this place, slime everywhere and that smell" Marcus states with disgust once he whiffs the smell and gag a little "so gross, I guess that the Digimon we want is inside" Marcus then says pointing at the slime covered building while looking at the others.

"Numemon like dark places." Agumon says to his "boss".

"Gatomon, what do you know about Numemon?" Io asks, looking at his Digimon Partner.

"Not much really." Gatomon says "They're Adult level, and a Mollusk type Digimon" she explains.

"Cleaning up after this will be tough" Yoshi then says as her cousin and the cat Digimon look at the female.

"you don't say" they sarcastically question before the group then ran into the building.

Marcus and Agumon stand at the B-1 Entrance, about to head inside, until Thomas stops them.

"Wait" Thomas calls the brunette and his partner "we need a plan first, Gaomon, guard this entrance" he instructs his Digimon partner who nod.

"Sir, yes sir!" Gaomon responds.

"And you two go to the other entrance, that way he can't escape" Thomas says to Marcus and Agumon which Marcus didn't like to be bossed around.

"Don't boss me!" Marcus yells

"He isn't bossing around Marcus he's just suggesting a idea to prevent Numemon from creating more mess that it already made" Io tells Marcus which he ignores the pinkette and runs inside the entrance.

Io sighs as Thomas tells Gaomon to change their plans, and they'll be at the B-3 entrance.

"Will those two be, okay?" Lalamon asks, seeing their interaction.

"I hope they can work together, soon..." Gatomon says with a disappointed expression.

"Really..." Yoshi say, crossing her arms. "What is the Commander thinking making those two partners in the first place?" She asks.

"Well, there's no helping it" Io says putting both his hands on his hips. "It is the Commander's order, after all." He adds.

meanwhile in the basement Marcus, Agumon, Thomas and Gaomon went after the Numemon at the same time. But since there wasn't any communication and planning between the four, Gaomon accidentally hits Agumon with his Double Backhand move, when Agumon tries to catch Numemon. While Marcus and Thomas were arguing, the Numemon they tried to catch begins throwing green slimes at them.

"Nuts Shoot!" Lalamon shouts as she shoots out hard nuts at Numemon.

"Nice going, Lalamon!" Yoshi cheer at her partner.

The attack from Lalamon wasn't enough, as the Numemon jumps up.

"Gatomon!" Io calls

"Cat Laser!" Gatomon shouts as she shoots light pink beams out of her eyes at Numemon.

Numemon gets hit by Gatomon's attack before turning into a egg before Io's Picks it up.

"Fujieda cousins for the win, huh Yosh" Io cheers while looking at his cousin

Yoshi smile "we sure did, nice work, both of you."" she responds before Yoshi and Io high-five each other and so did their Digimon Partner; Yoshi then turns towards Marcus and Thomas "Stop causing unnecessary trouble" she then tells both Marcus and Thomas.

Io crosses his arms disappointedly "The two of you almost let Numemon get away, if we didn't intervene" he then says to the other two boys.

"It's because he got in my way!" Marcus said, pointing an accusing finger at Thomas.

"Nothing about my plans was flawed!" Thomas stated. "It's because you didn't listen to me!" He said, accusingly.

"Listening to your blabbering takes too long, you Thoma! if you ever have anything wild to say!" Marcus said, saying his name wrong on purpose.

that infuriated Thomas "You jerk! No make that you cocky jerk, you're just a snot nose armature! AND my name's not Thoma, it's T-ho-mas!" Thomas says angrily "Can't you even remember a person's name?" He questions "who am I kidding, you don't even know what you're doing" he adds.

"Oh really!? well, I know how to take you down Thoma!" Marcus mocks the blonde.

"Don't make me laugh, you don't even take down notes!" Thomas bicker.

Io and Yoshi watch the two argue once again making the pinkette male sigh "are we getting pay for this?" he asks his cousin.

"No" Yoshi responds.

Io then gives Yoshi the egg "then hold this" he tells her before pulling out a sandal out of nowhere which the older Fujieda has no idea when or where did he get one before seeing her cousin whacking both Marcus and Thomas with the sandal.

'Tití taught him well' Yoshi thinks looking at her cousin writing a mental not to keep him on his good side "Good grief..." Yoshi says to herself.

"This is getting tiresome" Gatomon says.

"You two quit your bickering, I do not get paid to be your babysitter, so let's get back to base before I really lose my sanity" Io tells the two boys before walking out.

the two boys look at Yoshi who then looks away "don't look at me like I know" she states as she leaves with Gatomon and Lalamon following behind the cousins.

-time skip-

"are you sure you want to go to the store alone, I can come with if you want" Yoshi offers but Io shakes his head.

"No need Yoshi, besides the Commander needed you for something, so i don't want you to disobey a order like I did" Io response "beside I have Gatomon with me" he adds.

"he's right if anything happens, I'll be there to help Io" Gatomon then tells Yoshi from the Digivice.

Yoshi laughs "I'm counting on you Gatomon" she says before Io then leaves to the grocery store.

he bought everything that he needs to make dinner as he noticed a car driving by them and what he sees inside the car shocks him.

"Is that a Digimon with bank robbers?" Io questions.

"Io, we have to do something!" Gatomon tells her partner from the Digivice

Io nods before running after the car sure he may not be as fast as the car, but he has enough stamina to keep up with a car due to his track racing background. until he hears a beeping sound from his pocket

Io pulls out the communicator and puts it on his ear "Io can you hear me!" he hears Miki calling him.

"what's the sitch?" Io asks.

"there's a Digimon signal near your location"

"I know it seem like this Digimon is working together with Bank robbers and the poor guy seems like to not knowing what it's doing is wrong, I'm going after them" Io says.

"Very well, you may do that, try to keep the Digimon occupied while back up will be on the way and don't let the robbers escape" he hears Richard instructing the pinkette.

"you got it sir!" Io says before taking a turn until he arrives to a nearby bank that seems that it isn't robbed yet, so he takes a chance and hid and wait for the thieves to arrive before pulling out his Digivice "Gatomon realize!" he chants as Gatomon appears out of the Digivice.

"Gatomon!" Gatomon chants as she lands in front of Io.

"I have a plan while they're distracted with robbing the bank Jump on the thieves from the roof while I pull the Digimon away from them, you can knock them out but don't go overboard" Io tells Gatomon

Gatomon nods "got it" she says before climbing up to the roof top.

After some time two men arrive with a purple and white mole-like Digimon with a drill for a nose.

Io looks up at Gatomon who's waiting for him to give her the signal, Io nods at her making the cat Digimon nod back and dive down and attacks the robbers.

"Neko kick!" Gatomon yells before knocking one of the guys with a hard kick "Cat Tail!" Gatomon's tail glows in a white light and slaps the other guy with her tail.

Io grabs the Digimon and takes it far away from the scene.

"W-What's going on?" the Digimon questions looking confused. 

Io gives the Digimon a warm smile "I know you have a lot of questions" Io says before pulling out his DATS badge "I'm from a organization call the Digimon Data Squad our job is to keep Digimon safe from committing unintended crimes since Digimon are unaware of how the real-world works" Io explains making the Digimon looks even more confuse.

"Unintended crimes?" the Digimon questions.

"Yes, you may not realize but what those two humans were doing are just using you for committing a successful robbery" Io explains with a sad expression.

"r-really? t-they were using me?" The Digimon ask out of shock.

Io nods sadly "yes, and it's both my and Gatomon's job to prevent people like them knowing the existence of Digimon or who know what they'll plan with you guys" Io tells the Digimon who nods with a frown.

"I want to go home" the Digimon says.

Io then smiles warmly at the Digimon "don't worry, you will be home soon, but there's something I have to deal with first, okay...uhm..." Io says.

"My name is Drimogemon" the Digimon introduces itself with a smile.

Io smiles "Io, it's nice to meet you" he says before looking back at the crime scene where the two guys are all banged up with bruises while Gatomon stands on top of them making both Io and Drimogemon look at the cat Digimon with a sweat drop.

Io then walks up to the robbers as the two struggles to look up at the pinkette boy "W-Who are you"

"I'm Io, I'm someone not important since you won't remember anyways" Io says before pulling out the memory eraser device that Thomas gave him one time and flashes on the robbers faces and the two then pass out.

Drimogemon runs up to Io "what's going to happen to them, Io?" he asks.

Io looks at the Mole Digimon "once they wake up, they won't be able remember this whole situation or meeting you" Io explains.

Gatomon runs up to them "now it's time for you to back home in the digital world" she says as Drimogemon nods in understanding. 

"Okay!" Drimogemon chants innocently making Io giggle before the three hear the sound of the car steering.

they all see Yoshi's car as Thomas and Yoshi got out of the car first while Marcus and Agumon were struggling.

"I knew you had this; we came here just in case if you get in a tight spot which I doubt that'll happen when it comes to you" Yoshi explains.

but that moment was ruined when Marcus tells Agumon hits Drimogemon with his pepper breath.

"What the hell Marcus!" Yoshi yells at the brunette.

Io check on the Digimon "Drimogemon are you okay?" he asks before he gasp as he sees Drimogemon glowing pink Drimogemon growls at the three Dats members "Drimogemon, please, don't fight them!" Io begs but the digimon didn't listen before grabbing both Io and Gatomon by it's hand and runs away "MERA!" the Pinkette yell.

"Io!/Gatomon!" the trio and their Digimon partner call the pinkette and cat digimon

"I think I'd watch too much King Kong to not surprise me" Io comment.

Drimogemon went to attack both Marcus and Agumon, both DATS members dodged it.

"Now this is fun! Wanna fight?!" Marcus questions as Thomas thinks of a strategy.

Eventually, both Marcus and Agumon were knocked into the water Thomas and Gaomon lead Drimogemon towards the dock, where there's no underground to run as Marcus and Agumon follows them.

Io and Gatomon were embraced by the Digimon protecting them from the attack by the now digivolved Gaogamon and Geogreymon.

Marcus and Thomas see a digi-gate opening near Drimogemon "Oh no a digi-gate opened!" Thomas state.

"Stop it!" Marcus yells.

"Awaiting orders sir!" Gaogamon tells his partner.

"Attack immediately! You can't let it enter the Digi-gate taking Io and Gatomon with it" Thomas commands.

"Right, Spiral blow!" Gaogamon shouts before launching his attack.

"Mega flame!" Geogreymon yells as he breaths out a flame blast.

Io seems to be in panic since they forgot that the Digimon has him as hostage "they forgot who he has as hostage!?"

Drimogemon yells as he hugs Io and Gatomon close but instead of taking the attack both attacks cancel the other's Drimogemon jumps in the gate with Gatomon and Io with it.

"NO!" Io screams out of fear and the digi-gate closes.

"IO!" both Marcus and Thomas state out of shock and fear.

"No!" Gaogmon yells

"Fine job Marcus, you let it escape to the Digital world" Thomas accusingly yells at Marcus

"Me!? this happened because you're the one butting in my fight!" Marcus argues.

Thomas frowns "I can't take anymore, I simply refuse to be on the same team as you, Marcus" he says.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't ask for this shit, either einstein, not only that, that thing got Io and Gatomon with him!" Marcus points out before both he and Thomas turn pale.

"he took Io and Gatomon to the Digital world" they both state out of fear not for the commander...but their co-worker aka Io's cousin.

"it took who to the Digital world?" they hear a familiar voice from behind Thomas who slowly turns and see a angry Yoshi with a smile but you can see a murderous aura surrounding her "let me get this clear, your lack of communication and understanding cost the kidnap of my cousin?" she asks with her smile remaining on her face "okay..." she says before turning away once she did tears begin to fall down on her face as she hold back her sobs as she heads to her car when she enters, she burst to tears and cries while her partner consoles her.

Marcus and Thomas couldn't help but feeling extremely guilty because their arguments and disagreements, they lost a ally, and make their cousin cry, they have to do something about it

-time skip-

The sun is now rising, and everyone is back at the base... well almost everyone.

"The blockades to District D-06 and D-09 have been lifted." Megumi informs.

"Memory erasure of the ban thieves completed." Miki adds.

"What? You can't be teamed up?" Richard questions, after hearing what Thomas told him.

"He's a hindrance in accomplishing the missions." Thomas states as Gaomon stands next to him.

"I believe I said I wouldn't listen to objections" Richard said.

"Don't you realize!? Io's in the Digital World because of us! and Yoshi-san is upset about it, we have to save him!" Thomas states angrily.

"Even I don't get the reason why I have to be partnered with him is his fault the Digimon took Io" Marcus said. He was sitting at his seat, arms behind his head Agumon stands next to him.

Thomas glares at the brunet "My fault, look who's talking if you and Agumon wouldn't have attack the Digimon when Io had it under control, none of this would happen!" he yells.

as the two boys argue at each other "KNOCK IT OFF!" The commander yells at the two.

"You want to know who should be at fault? is both of your fault my cousin is now lost in the Digital world with no idea of survival hell he isn't even wearing the uniform for fucking god's sake!" Yoshi yells angrily as tears rolls down her eyes and sits back down before wiping her tears "Anyway, letting Drimogemon escape is a serious matter." Yoshi adds as she holds on Lalamon.

"And it's even worse now that he's running wild." Kudamon said.

"He may appear again someday." Richard said "And keep on the lookout." Richard says.

"Are you saying that we just gonna leave Io there alone in the Digital world!?" Marcus angrily questions.

"That's not the only problem" Kudamon tells the brunette "He might act as a negative influence to the other Digimon living in the Digital World." He explains referring to the Drimogemon.

"Commander, allow me to use the Digital Dive" Thomas suggests.

"What? The Digital Dive?" Richard questions.

"It's possible this can still be settled!" Thomas told Richard. "I'll go in pursuit of Drimogemon and turn him back into a Digiegg without fail!" He states.

"You want to go to the Digital World?" Yoshi questions.

"Like you said, Yoshino, it's my fault Io's in there I have to at least clean my part of the mess" he tells the female.

Marcus sighs and gets up "as much as I dislike you, and I can't believe I'm gonna say this...but you're right" he says shocking the blonde "Io be in the digital world is also my fault, and I can't let you have all the work while I sit here with my hands crossed" he says.

"No. Transporting a human is inexcusable" Richard states "Travelling to the Digital World is extremely dangerous, especially for humans, I can't simply risk on getting another human risk on be in danger" he adds.

"But commander!" Thomas tries to protest but get cut off.

"There's no guarantee you'll come back safely" Richard says "Permission denied." He finishes the discussion.

That day, when everyone was away from the base, Thomas went into the Digital World, through the Digital Dive 'I'll save Io even if is the last thing I'll do' he thinks before transferring through the Digital Dive.

"This is the worst..." Yoshi said, after witnessing Thomas using the Digital Dive and went into the Digital World; the entrance to the base opens as Marcus and Agumon enters.

"Hey. Nobody's here, right?" Marcus whisper-asking his digimon partner.

"Yeah. It's fine, boss." Agumon whispers back.

"What are you doing?" Yoshi asks, looking at Marcus and Agumon, sweat-dropped.

Marcus and Agumon exclaim in surprise.

Marcus, Agumon, and Lalamon are behind Yoshi, who is at the computer screen.

"Thomas did a Digital Dive?" Marcus asks. "Damn it, he got away before us!" He thinks out loud.

Yoshi looks at Marcus unbothered "Before you?" Yoshi asks.

"N-No need to pay him any mind, he's just talking to himself." Agumon tells the female who shakes her head.

"What was he thinking?" Yoshi asks. "I know his intention for rescuing Io, but doing a Dive when the equipment hasn't even been tested on humans... Anything could have happened! Please be safe, Thomas..." She says, and the screen scans the Digital World. "Got him!" She states as the screen beeps.

"Huh? What's that?" Agumon asks.

"Thomas' Digivice signal." Yoshi replies. "I'll drag him right ba-" Before she could finish her sentence, the signal was lost.

"I lost him." Yoshi says disappointedly.

"Really. Well, isn't that a pity." Marcus says putting an arm on Agumon's head "Yoshi" he then says.

"I'm gonna do a Digital Dive, too, please, I know Io means a lot to you...please let me go rescue him" Marcus said.

Yoshi looks at Marcus surprise and realizes something 'these two are having a crush on Io' she think before sighing defeatedly.

Marcus and Agumon were standing in the Digital Dive, victoriously.

"Yoshi, are you sure about this?" Lalamon asks.

"Letting him have his way is better than a broken machine and Thomas being stuck over there..." Yoshi replies while tapping on the keyboard before looking at Marcus "I'm sending you to the coordinates where we lost Thomas. Make sure to bring him, and Io back, okay?" Yoshi explains to the brunette.

"Whatever just do it!" Marcus says.

"I can't help you when you get to the other side" Yoshi warns.

"Oh, really. Well, just remember this." Yoshi tells Marcus. "Return to where you first entered by 05:00. That's where I'll bring you three back." She then says.

"Bah, it's like having a curfew." Marcus said, looking at the current time on his Digivice.

"Transfer preparations at 80%." Lalamon said.

"Digital Harmonizer aligning. Security code recognized." Yoshi said.

"Digi-gate open!" Lalamon shouts

Digital Particles begin swirling around above both Marcus and Agumon.

"5 seconds to transfer." Lalamon said, and she begins counting down.

"Beginning transportation!" Yoshi said, and the two was transported, as they disappeared from the Digital Dive 'Good luck... and please be safe you three' she thinks while looking at the Digital Dive.
