.3.
Applejack woke up to a Friday morning, she had known Rainbow Dash since Monday, and they have just gotten so close in such a short amount of time.
Applejack thought all Skylings were bad people, but Rainbow changed it all. Today, Applejack was going over to Rainbow's apartment to help her with decorating.
Applejack stood by the door and was about to knock when she heard something inside. She listened carefully.
"I don't want it, okay? Just leave me alone.." Applejack heard a muffled Rainbow Dash voice.
"Listen kid, it's free," A man said, "Just some harmless donuts."
"If I take them will you leave me alone..?" Rainbow said.
"Mhm."
"Fine," Applejack heard Rainbow, "Now leave me alone!"
"Okay, Okay. See ya soon, child." Applejack faced the wall as the door opened, and shut. Luckily, whoever that dude was didn't see her.
"Hmm.." Applejack said. She knocked on Rainbows door.
"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE!!"
"It's AJ, Rainbow!"
"O-Oh.. Sorry..!" Rainbow came sprinting for the door and opened it.
"Sorry AJ.. there was just this guy who offers every kid in the neighborhood drugs and stuff.." Rainbow sighed.
"I know, I was here when he left." Applejack said, "I told ya this ain't a good neighborhood."
"Yeah, I know," Rainbow said, "Anyway, ready to decorate?!"
Applejack instantly smiled when she saw Rainbow perk up. Applejack thought she looked.. really cute. Today especially. Rainbow had on white jean shorts and a grey long sleeved shirt, she didn't have shoes on, but she had rainbow socks on. Her hair was a little wet, but her bangs were clipped back so they didn't cover her beautiful eyes. Applejack wasn't one to judge someone on what they looked like, but she couldn't help but think that Rainbow looked really cute.
"AJ! Can you help me hang this up?" Rainbow called from the other side of the room, "I'm short!"
Applejack walked over, "Ya have wings, ya silly girl."
"I don't use them.. I don't want to use them. They hurt all the time." Rainbow pulled her wings closer together. Making them as tight as possible.
"Maybe because you torture 'em. If you would let them relax, they wouldn't hurt ya as bad." Applejack said.
"But.. I.. what if people see them..?" Rainbow sighed, trying to pull her wings in ever tighter.
"Even like that, everyone can see 'em. No matter what ya do." Applejack told her, "Relax, Dash."
Rainbow let them free a little bit.
"Here," Applejack said, "Is it okay if I move 'em?"
Rainbow hesitated but nodded, "Don't hurt me.."
Applejack, carefully, held Rainbows wings and helped them relax. Her wings were blue, and very soft.
"Does it feel better like that?" Applejack asked letting Rainbow keep them in a set position.
"Holy I've never felt so calm." Rainbow said with a flap of her wings, and a smile on her face.
"But you're still helping me." Rainbow grinned at her friend. Applejack rolled her eyes. Rainbow then ran and got some thumb tacks.
"These things a sharp and can go choke on a muffin." Rainbow said, annoyed at the awful poking of them in her hand. Applejack laughed.
"Okay. I have like two posters, one picture frame with nothing in it, and one pride flag." Rainbow said as she counted the thumb tacks.
"Pride flag? As in LGBTQ+?" Applejack asked. Rainbow nodded and acted like it was nothing for a second, and then realized. She looked up from counting.
"Shoot, nobody was meant to know.."
Applejack laughed, "It's okay, Rainbow. There ain't nothin' to be ashamed of. I'm apart of it too."
Rainbow smiled.
"Plus, I kinda sensed it from ya." Applejack grinned.
"Okay, the hair is coincidence!" Rainbow laughed.
"Let's hang 'em up." Applejack said.

After about six hours of decorating and painting, both girls were exhausted.
"I may be tired," Rainbow yawned, "But that was fun."
"Except the part ya almost fell off the ladder." Applejack reminded her friend.
Both of them laughed. Applejack thought about their day. And she had to admit, she enjoyed it. Rainbow is a fun girl to be around.
Rainbow was a sweet girl, anyone who took the time to know her would know that as a fact.
As for Rainbows small apartment, it was flawless. The dark blue walls complimented the wooden floor. As for the ceiling, it was no longer blank. The girls room about an hour of their day painting random things that made the place look fun. Everything was perfect for Rainbow.
The two sat in silence as they watched a movie on Rainbows laptop.
Suddenly, Rainbow bursted into laughter, pulling Applejack out of her thoughts.
"What happened?" Applejack asked.
"So Squidward was saying all this stupid stuff," Rainbow took a breathe, "And Spongebob said 'Gee Squidward, maybe Santa'll bring me a dictionary so I can understand what you just said'!"
Rainbow couldn't stop laughing, and Applejack couldn't help but laugh too.
"Oh, Spongebob. It'll never get old." Rainbow stopped laughing, whipping a tear away.
Applejack nodded. She happened to see the time on Rainbows laptop. 11:30 pm.
"Oh, shoot. Dash, I gotta head home. My grannies probably worried by now." Applejack frowned.
"Aww, man. I wish you could stay longer. It gets lonely around here. And- never mind." Rainbow said, she got up.
Applejack went over to the door, was about to open it before she heard a loud thump.
"Ow." She heard Rainbow say, followed by laughter. Applejack turned around to see Rainbow getting off the floor.
"Did I ever mention I'm klutzy?" Rainbow and Applejack laughed.
"I'll see ya on Monday, RD. C'ya!" Applejack waved.
"Waitttt! Hugggg!!" Rainbow begged as she slowly made her way to the front door without falling.
"Thanks, AJ. You know, for helping me out." Rainbow smiled at her friend.
"It was nothin'. I'll always help out anyone." Applejack said. Rainbow them gave Applejack a hug, and Applejack returned it.
"See you later, Applejack." Rainbow said before closing the door. Rainbow smiled at her home. She only wished all of the scary sounds would go away, too.
Applejack walked all the way home, safely. She walked into her brother awaiting her arrival.
"Why're ya so darn late?" Big Mac asked strictly.
"Sorry, Mac. I was just with a friend, don't worry." Applejack assured him.
"Rarity?" Big Mac asked.
"Nope. Not Pinkie either. I was with Rainbow Dash." Applejack answered for her older brother.
"Who?"
"The new skyling at my school. You'd just love her. She's quite somethin'." Applejack responded.
"A skylin'? I dunno if y'all should be 'round a skyling." Big Mac said.
Applejack's jaw dropped. Was her brother really not approving of skylings either?
How could her own brother be like almost everyone else?
