When I got home my mom asked how school went. I told I made one friend.

"Really? What's his/her name?" She asks.

"Her name is Emma." I reply. I told her everything that happened that day except about the three boys. My mom would have asked me a bunch of questions if I did mention them. I finish telling her about me day and tell her I have lots of home work.

"On the first day?" She asks.

"It's high school , mom, what did you expect?" I answered.

I head to my room and start on my home work. It hits 8:00 and my mom brings me dinner. I say thanks and continue to work. Ugh so much homework today. It gets late and I finally finish. I put my stuff away and Get ready for bed.

I call good night to my mom and got in bed. I instantly fall asleep.

I woke up and got ready for school and call to my mom that I'm riding the bus today. No answer. Hmm. Maybe she's already at work. I head down stairs and leave the house.
I walk to the bus stop. I guess that I'm the only one here.

The bus comes and I get on. When we get to the school everyone is staring at me. Emma comes up to me.

"Emma, why is everyone staring at me?" I ask a little freaked out.

"Have you seen you?" She asks.

"Yes, I'm ugly." I reply.

She hold up a mirror for me to look at myself. I gasp at what I see. I-I'm... Pretty? I look at Emma. What happened to me?

"What happened to me?" I ask.

"You're pretty." She says.

"Is that supposed to be an answer?" I ask.

"Not exactly?" She says.
