39 | SHITFAM LESS THAN 3

3RD PERSONS VIEW

"I'm very much glad that you are safe and back in one piece! I trust Mark with you for twenty minutes and he comes back with Lucas saying they lost you! Are you okay? What exactly happened? I'm glad you found Jeno too, but the two said something about a bear," Jaemin leans to whisper in her ear, "I don't believe them one bit but if there is—"

"Guys, there aren't any bears okay? It was just Johnny-hyung in a suit." Jeno interjected, assuring a frantic Mark who was trying to point out where he saw the grizzly bear.

Minjun chuckled and gently pushed Jaemin further away from her before smirking, "Omg, what a miracle! The moody blueberry finally cares about the kind blueberry."

"Kind?" Donghyuck scoffed, "When were you kind?"

Lucas hissed, "Hey! Minjun is very kind and she does not deserve your slander right now."

Minjun grinned, "Hear that, Shithyuck? I'm very kind."

"Yeah very kind indeed." Jeno flashed her a smile to which she returned.

All of them headed back to their group campsite with lots of bickering and joking along the way. Mark fell behind with Jeno beside him. Silence engulfed the two, concentration set on their thoughts as they tried to drown out the playful bantering of their friends. Both seeing this as a chance to talk to each other, they happened to speak at the same time.

"Look–"
"Mark–"

They paused, blinking for a couple seconds of stillness, before bursting into a fit of laughter that contrasted the others. Jeno pressed his lips together into a smile, stretching out his arm to pat Mark's shoulder. "Mark, it isn't your fault okay, I was just... so fucking oblivious."

"Blinded by love." Mark murmured and Jeno rolled his eyes.

"I confessed..."

A gasp instantly left Mark's mouth, "You did? Shit- how'd it go? Are you two?" He looks over at Minjun who walked beside Lucas. Mark's gaze diverted from the girl and back to Jeno, seeing the small frown on Jeno's lips he knew. Shoulders slumping forward in disappointment, it was his turn to pat the latter's back. "Hey, it's okay, you two aren't on good terms or?"

"We're friends. I'm okay with that. Besides, I think she already has her eyes on someone." Jeno uttered out, his tone seemed completely hurt but was masked in the most blatant way. Mark's gaze softened on the boy, giving the younger a simple side-hug to warm him up a bit.

Once they've arrived at the group campsite, Minjun saw what she expect would see. Everyone who stayed sat around the campfire, wanting to keep warm for the night as they waited for their friends to come back.

"AYO SHITFAM LESS THAN THREE WE'RE BACK!" Lucas yelled and ran into the campsite, suddenly picking up Chenle over his shoulder and swung him around, letting out loud dolphin-like screams and laughs.

Yangyang and Renjun gave Jeno a hug while Xiaojun tried to calm down a hyper Lucas, and Chenle. Jisung, on the other hand, was there laughing on the sidelines as Xiaojun failed miserably in taming down the wild duo.

Minjun smiled at seeing everyone all reunited again, hoping that it could last forever. "See? I waited." He grinned, flashing her the most goofiest smile he could ever give.

"And what does that say?" Minjun raised a brow to which he smirked.

"That I can never get tired of waiting for you."

Hendery let out a laugh, cringing from his own statement, burying his face into the palms of his hands, peering through the slits of his fingers to check Minjun's expression. Meanwhile, the girl smiled at him, holding back her own laughter. Hendery whined, "Hey, at least laugh, I didn't intend it to be a bit cringe for nothing."

"Oh so you want me to laugh?" She said, chuckles leaving her mouth and he nodded, standing back straight up.

"Of course I do, Minjun. I like making people happy." He said with a soft smile ghosting his lips.

A yawn left her lips, "That's cute of you, Shitdery."

"Shitdery? I thought it was Henshit."

She sniggers, "I prefer Shitdery though, but it can be whatever, still apart of the Shitfam nonetheless."

"Lucas-hyung! What did you add earlier? Like, did I hear it right? Shitfam less than three?" Jisung questioned with his face looking confused as ever.

Lucas grinned, "Yes you did hear it right."

"Okay, now what does that mean now?" Renjun asked.

"Simple. You know how in texting when we do hearts you use the less than symbol then the number three, so when we say it out loud its Shitfam less than three, like, Shitfam heart." The tall boy explained thoroughly.

Mark quipped in, "Why not just Shitfam heart then? Shitfam less than three sounds like a handful- and it kinda sounds weird, people won't understand us."

Donghyuck scoffed, "That's the point! Our group is unique as it is and Shitfam less than three will make it more interesting." He then pointed out to the woods, "Go back to Canada, hyung."

"But–"

"Nope. We're settling with Shitfam less than three."

After a few more talks, agreements, and never-ending disagreements between Mark and Donghyuck, they all decided to get ready for bed.

"Here, one heat pack for the blueberry." Hendery said and passed the hot compress that was sandwiched in the middle of a pink hoodie.

"Thanks- uhh, what's the hoodie for?" She tilts her head, grabbing the bundle from Hendery.

"For you. Use it." He simply said, patting the top of her head. "Goodnight, Minnie."

"MINNIE?" The girl shot him a look though he won't be able to see since his back faced her instead as he approached his own tent.

Hendery nodded, waving his hand up in the air, "Goodnight~"

Minjun furrowed her brows, gazing down at the hoodie, running her hands over it, subconsciously smiling at his kind gesture. She whispered a soft goodnight before heading to her own tent where Jisung and Jaemin already laid in their own sleeping bags.

"She's here now Jisung, will you be able to sleep now?"

Minjun hummed, "Why? Is he having trouble sleeping?"

Jaemin sighed, running his fingers through his blue hair, "He's just worried about you." He looks over at the fifteen year old who fiddled with the hem of his blanket shyly.

The girl chuckled and pinched the young boy's cheeks, "No need to be worried about, Sung. Now, let Jaemin tuck you to sleep."

Jaemin deadpanned, "I wasn't tucking him in, he's fifteen! I was just making sure he doesn't sneak out to go look for you or anything."

"Kinda similar to making sure he's tucked in. Besides, you love him." Minjun retorted.

Jisung waited for Jaemin to talk back but he didn't. A smile fell onto his lips as Jaemin gently draped the dark blue blanket over his body. Before Jaemin could even let go, Jisung got a hold of the older boy's hand causing the blue-haired to eye him curiously. "What?"

"Nothing." The younger innocently shook his head, still with a smile, "Just... thank you."

Jaemin averted his gaze onto the girl who was now laid back, wearing the pink hoodie as she hugged the compress close to her abdomen. The boy looked back at the younger, "For what?"

"For making up with Minjun-noona."

Jaemin scoffed, "That's nothing."

"Do you like her?" Jisung whispered and Jaemin froze, heedful eyes looking over at Minjun to check if she was awake.

"As a friend, of course I do."

"But what about—"

"Jisung, I'm tired. Let's just go to sleep, okay?"

"But you haven't answered my question yet!" Jisung whined, turning over to face Jaemin.

Jaemin huffed, "I don't want to answer it."

"Are you afraid?"

"Goodnight, Shitsung."

"Is it because Hendery—"

"Jisung!"

"Alright, alright. Goodnight, hyung..." he mumbled, closing his eyes.

Jaemin sighed, his hand clutched onto his blanket. We're just friends. Nothing more than shit-shit buddies. I'll make sure of that.
