It was midnight in the small cold hearted town and the six teens were ready to take off.

Marty was driving around his side of town, Cyrus and Amber are already in his car. Now here comes the part where it gets dangerous, if they're not quiet enough they could possibly die.

Marty parked his car at The Gate, it was a long metal gate that stretched throughout the town to keep the two sides separated, usually a guard will be on post but it was midnight no one should be on post, so they thought.

Buffy, Andi, and Jonah all climbed the fence easily they were now on ice territory.

"Who goes there?" A flash light is shown into Marty's car and then it hits the three that just climbed over the fence. "I need back up!" The cop in the blue uniform yelled.

"Get in the car stupids!" Marty yells out the window and Andi, Buffy, and Jonah all hop into the back seat with Cyrus, Jonah made sure he sat next to Cyrus.

Marty stomps on the gas driving past the cop, but he immediately hits his breaks when two cop cars pull out in front of him.

"Crap, crap, crap" Marty says repeatedly under his breath as he backs up and makes a sharp turn driving down another street, finding another way.

BANG!

The first gun shot was heard.

"We're dead" Amber says.

"Don't say that" Buffy hisses.

Marty takes another turn speeding down the street.

BANG! BANG! BANG! CRASH!

"JONAH!" Cyrus screamed.

Marty gets over to a bridge all he has to do is pass it and they'll be fine, the bad part is that it's a draw bridge and it's slowly going up.

Marty slams the gas as he hard as he can driving on the bridge anyway flying through the air.

"WE'RE DEAD, WE'RE SO DEAD!" Amber screamed.

"SHUT UP AMBER!" Buffy yelled.

"Jonah keep your eyes open" Cyrus whispered in Jonah's ear holding onto him. "Don't leave me."

The car hit the ground spinning around in a circle, and then it stopped.

Everyone was breathing heavily.

"We made it" Marty huffed.

"I'm alive" Amber sighed

"WE NEED TO GET JONAH TO A HOSPITAL!" Cyrus yelled tears now streaming down his face, as he had his hand on Jonah's back trying to stop the blood.

"Where is the hospital?" Marty asked, and nobody knew they've always been stuck in there separated little town.

"Just drive around fast and look at signs until you see one" Andi said and Marty did exactly what she said.

"Please don't leave me, you promised that you wouldn't go anywhere with out me" Cyrus cried.

Marty swerved and Amber and Cyrus hit there heads on the car window as they pulled in front of the hospital.

"I found it" Marty said hopping out of the car quickly running to Cyrus's side.

"No duh" Buffy rolled her eyes getting out of the car and Andi followed behind her.

Amber ran inside most likely to get help and Marty helped Cyrus get Jonah out of the car.

People rushed out with a stretcher and everything was a blur for Cyrus as he saw Jonah get rolled away.

"He's gonna be okay" Andi threw her arm over Cyrus's shoulder and he just turned and hugged her, crying.

+1 Month later*
(In SpongeBob narrator voice)

"We found a hotel to stay in, the owner said we can all live there up until college as long as we work. Which I think is fair, we all found a nice highschool to go too I wish you were there" Cyrus let out a shaky breath knowing Jonah couldn't hear a word he was saying right now. "I wish you were you awake"

"Me too" Jonah said groggily.

"Hello? Is somebody in here?" Cyrus looked around the hospital room.

"No"

Cyrus's eyes widened as he looked back down at Jonah, who's eyes were now open and he a smile plastered on his face.

"Jonah I missed you"

"Same"

"Don't ever scare me like that again"

"I'm sorry, but I couldn't live with myself if I'd just let that bullet hit you."

Cyrus lent down to kiss Jonah softly on the lips. "Thank you for saving my life."

"No problem" Jonah whispered and deepened kiss, he tried to pick his arm up but it wouldn't budge. "Cyrus?"

"Hmm?" Cyrus hummed leaning away from Jonah.

"I can't feel my arm" Tears began to well up in his green eyes.

Cyrus looked at him sadly. "You had surgery to get the bullet removed the night we came ran away here, your arm is paralyzed"

"What!?"

"Your other one should be fine though"

Jonah moved his other arm easily and a tear slowly rolled down his cheek.

"Think on the bright side, at least it's not your dominant hand you can still right and stuff" Cyrus smiles a bit trying to cheer the other boy up.

"Is that the only injury?" Jonah asked trying to sit up.

Cyrus places his hand on Jonah's back pushing him up the rest of the way.

"Shouldn't you go get a doctor?" Jonah laughed a little.

"Oh yeah" Cyrus turns to walk away.

"Hey Cyrus?"

Cyrus turns to look at Jonah.

"I love you"

"I love you too, my little hero"
