The sky falls in. The ground crumbles into ashes. I fall into the abyss, left with nothing but the sound of my sobs and the body of my lover.

The blade is sharp, and my skin is brittle, dry from constant exposure to the salty sea. 

The pain fades into the darkness like she does, and what little vision remained goes with it, leaving me with nothing.
