((Small aside: Jedediah's voice is so fun to write. I ain't got no idea if it's accurate, but I can't stop talkin' like him!))

Jedediah opened his eyes. In all honesty, he was surprised that his eyes could still open. He had no recollection of where he was, just that he was... there.

It wasn't the storage room with the crates. This place was in no way New York. But he wasn't dust, and neither was he plastic. Also, Jedediah noted, he was still large. So that makes this a Win-Win-Win.

Glancing down, their two hands were intertwined. Another win. They were together. Win-Win-Win-Win.

Jedediah coughed awkwardly and dropped Octavius' hand.

Octavius stared around for a moment in disbelief. Without thinking, his hand flinched back toward Jedediah's, as though afraid that the cowboy would disappear from sight if he didn't hold on to him. Suddenly, he stopped, clenched his fist and let it swing awkwardly like a pendulum at his side.

"Jedediah... we're alive!" Octavius found his voice, and it was happy.

"Where are we, though? And how do we git back?"

The smile Octavius wore faded slightly.

"I am unsure...,"

"I can't believe what just happened....," Jed started.

The smile was back. "Me either, my friend! If I hadn't experienced the feeling of movement and awoke in a new location, I would not have believed it! Those Angels are miracles! Instant transportation!"

Jed scoffed. "Dunno is I'd call 'em 'miracles,' 'Tavius, bit I gotta admit it was cool."

Octavius looked around for a moment.

"I recognize this area. This is a Roman City!"

Jedediah chuckled softly. "One o' these days we gotta visit my city,"

"Nothing would make me happier,"

Judging by the beaming smile Octavius wore, Jedediah doubted that a man could be happier.

"Jedediah, will you walk with me?"

Jedediah shouldered into his friend's side.

"Nothin' would make me happier," Jed teased.

The two strolled the cobbled streets of the city. Locals pointed, snickered, and commented on Jedediah's strange attire, from the unruly hair to the unorthodox slacks, boots, and jacket. Jedediah hadn't noticed, nor did he care, but Octavius braced himself in Jedediah's defense, shooting the locals looks.

They walked in near-silence for a while. Octavius looked like a proud father, whereas Jedediah resembled a clueless tourist. Octavius was happy to explain everything around him, ranging from architecture to the great Roman leaders. There was a glow about the Roman's face that just showed true pride and happiness. And Jedediah couldn't help but smile back.

After strolling for a while, not bothering to think about getting back to their own time period to find the museum, the two decided they wanted food. Their new, normal sized stomachs felt a lot emptier than when they were tiny.

Octavius found a small shop in the market filled with fruits and vegetables, covered by a green cloth canopy, held up by poles on either side of them. There was another man browsing the foods as well. He cast the men a smile.

"Mornin'," he said casually.

"Good day, sir," Octavius said cheerily.

The man pointed at Jedediah. "Travelers, eh?"

"I suppose you could say that," Octavius chuckled.

"Not-Exactly-Travelers. Hm. Well that's a new one. So you're from around here?"

"I ain't. He is though," Jed explained.

"Western. Very western," the man muttered, "but how?"

"Come again, compadre...?"

"Oh, nothing, nothing... it's just... well, you're impossible." The man laughed to himself.

Jedediah straightened his jacket.

"I always liked to believe I was special," he said sarcastically.

Suddenly, the man drew a long stick from his coat and hid it behind his back. Both men had seen it, but didn't respond. It began to buzz, and it was the same noise as the--

"Sonic screwdriver...," Octavius breathed, nudging Jedediah.

"Come again?" asked the man, "No, that's just me whistling, just whistling." He mimicked the noise with his mouth, but it was not the same. He ruffled up his hair absently.

"What's yer name, partner?" Jedediah said finally.

"Me? Just call me The Doctor,"

Jedediah narrowed his eyes.

"Doctor Who?"

"Exactly," the man in the long trench coat winked.
