If there is one word to describe the entire earth in the year 1955 in west Berlin, the only word that can be used to describe the event that happened there with the GATE is Panic. Ever since the news about the GATE appearing in west Berlin their was shock all over the world. Now people all over the globe are worried that another GATE might appear in there country. But one country that most people who were afraid of another GATE popping up was the Philippines, but luckily for them they had a great leader.

His name was President Ramon F. Magsaysay who is also known as "Father of the Filipino Masses" and was well known for leading Guerrilla Forces against the Japanese in WW2. The News of the GATE appearing in West Berlin shocks him and the rest of the Philippines to the point where he had to take action. He then decides to write a letter to the leaders of NATO to request that they will join NATO incase of another GATE showing up they would have allies to help them out. However Ramon was also willing to send the Filipino Military to help with the NATO forces in West Germany. 

Soon when the NATO Generals and leaders receive the letter from the famous Filipino leader they decide that the Philippines will be a member of NATO. Not only that they also approved that the Filipino military will also take part in exploring the new world. President Ramon then received a letter from NATO officials noting that the Philippines were now a member of NATO and they would take part in NATO's exploration of the GATE. 

"Alright this is great." President Ramon said as he read the NATO letter and put it down on his desk. "Well, better not keep the others waiting." He then picked up a Phone and called the Military leaders and have them form a Expeditionary force to West Berlin. It was soon created and was called the Philippine Expeditionary force and was by 2 Filipino Generals who were General Thomas Magsayo in charge of the Filipino army and Brigadier General Albert Talum in charge of the Filipino Marines. Both were veterans of WW2 so it was safe to say that they both have had experience in fighting.

Soon in under a few weeks they Philippine Expeditionary force was shipped off to Europe to aid the other NATO forces in west Berlin. Many of the Filipino soldiers and Marines were excited that they were heading to explore a new world never seen before. One such soldier was Lieutenant Colonel Alex Haley who was half-Filipino and Half-American, he was a veteran of WW2 and Korea. 

Not only that he was cleaver when he had faked his death in the Bataan Death March and joined the Filipino guerilla rebels. After when the Americans liberated the Philippines he was promoted from Sergeant Major to Lieutenant Colonel by General Douglas MacArthur for his actions.

"Well this will be a new experience, fighting somewhere else where no one has ever been before." Alex said to him self as he sat on a chair and wrote in his Journal. 

"But hey, be grateful that we were given a chance to fight in this new world." a voice said behind Alex. Alex turned around and saw Major Daniel Armenias, he was one of the Filipino Guerilla rebels that had found Alex during WW2. "I know your probably worried about our home, but President Ramon has put all the remaining forces on high alert, in case if another GATE pops up."

"Well, I guess your right." Alex replied closing his journal. "He is a great President after all."

"I hope I get to use this again while were there." Daniel said as he pulled out his Bolo Knife.

"You always want to use that whenever you get into battles don't you?" Alex asked as he shook his head. 

"Your just jealous that you don't have one." Daniels replied as he put the Bolo away.

"Whatever." Alex sighed as he rolled his eyes. "I wonder what Germany is like."

Meanwhile somewhere else in the transport ship a Filipino Marine Major was wiping down his samurai sword that he stole from a Japanese executer during WW2 and keeps it as a back up weapon. His Name was Major Rex O. Tala and he was somewhat shocked like many other Filipino's when the GATE opened up in West Berlin.

"Mike, Just how could something like this happen?" He asked one of his fellow Marines.

"Well, I'm not too sure Major." Michael answered. "I was just as shocked as you were when I heard the news." Michael "Mike" Fernandez was a Lieutenant in the 2nd Battalion of Philippine Marines and Rex was the leader for the newly formed 2nd Battalion of Philippine Marines.

"Well lets just hope that we make it through this." Rex said as he had a big responsibly resting on his shoulders.

"Hey, come on." Michael said as he patted Rex's shoulder. "Were Marines, its our job."

Rex then made a smile on his face. "Yeah, your right." Rex replied. "lets do this!"

A couple days later...

After a long boat ride the Filipino forces landed in west Germany and were soon meet by British, American, West German, French, and other allied forces. They would soon head to west Berlin through Soviet territory. NATO had made a agreement with the Soviet Union to let there allied forces to west Berlin as long as they didn't engage each other. It wasn't going to be much longer before NATO forces would soon go to the unknown world and get pay back from the unknown soldiers that attacked west Berlin. 

Rex and Alex were now walking around in Berlin when they saw 2nd Lieutenant Ethan Thompson walking towards them and they knew who he was.

"Excuse me but are you 2nd Lieutenant Ethan Thompson?" Rex asked.

"Yeah that's me why?" Ethan replied as he never met the 2 before.

"Major Rex O. Tala 2nd Battalion Philippine Marines." Rex said with a salute.

"Nice to meet you." Ethan said turning to Alex. "And you are?"

"Lieutenant Colonel Alex Haley Philippine Army." Alex replied.

"So your country decided to join NATO as well huh?" Ethan asked as he saluted back. "Well that's good, in case if another GATE appears."

"Yes indeed." Rex replied. "So when are we Heading to the new world?" 

"Well, as far as I know...just a couple of days." Ethan replied.
