Surhhi's POV

"Will you give some time to your new friend to trust his new friend " Mahir spoke.

I didn't know how to react.

I just nodded in assurance. I was so happy that finally he understood what I wanted to say him. I was not angry on him.

I realized that it was not fully his mistake to not trust anyone . May be the people who came in his life had broken his trust and that's why he don't want to trust anyone any more. I was okay if he did not want to trust me ever but what I wanted was to let him know that every relationship is based on trust.

It is the foundation of any sort of relationship and I was feeling really happy that he realized what I wanted to convey.

"Surbhi can I get your mobile number... Actually if di would need any help after going from here" he asked and I raised my brow.

"And even we are also friends "he completed and I chuckled nodding.

Soon we exchanged our phone numbers.

" Surbhi please do not share my personal number with anyone. Because if that gets leaked I'll be in a big problem. I'll get millions of calls on this number and I can't bear that. I hope you understand "he said and I giggled.

"Yeah yeah Mr. Richie rich I know you are 'Mahir Maheshwari' and it will create unnecessary problems for you. Don't worry. I'll not " I assured him after which I went away.

It was seven in the evening & my shift for today was over.

I was in my cabin when Anjali came.

"Hey. Come let's go" she said and I nodded winding up my works and a case study to read.

Soon we were out of the hospital and headed towards metro station & The events from today came in my mind.

How bad the morning started and how good it had been.

I smiled remembering the day spent with Mahir.

"Oh madam. In which world" she asked snapping her fingers.

"No nothing. Just thinking something" I said

"And what is that something. The morning incident "she asked and I nodded.

" Surbhi you know Mahir maheshwari is not that bad like what I've listened from everywhere. He helped us a lot today." said Anjali

"Yeah Anjali. He's not what we thought to be. Media have spread so much rumors about him. He's rude.. Arrogant..and what not. But you know he's not Arrogant he's just sometimes frustrated due to certain things. He's not really what we thought about him" I told thinking about the day spend with him.

"Ah.. Ah...First of all I was not at all telling you that he's rude and all. Secondly isn't your mindset completely changed. What happened in this one day madam that your point of view have suddenly changed" asked Anjali

"Nothing idiot. It's just a day was enough to know about Mahir" I said

"One minute ,one minute!!!! What you said right now, Elaborate and yeah jumping from Mr.Maheshwari to Mahir. I'm smelling something fishy " she asked narrowing her eyes

"Nothing Anjali. It's just that I and Mahir have become friends" I said casually

"Whatt!! When...when this happened. When did you meet him. Did he ask you to be friends. You didn't tell me " And there was this series of questions from this idiot.

"Sush Anjali. Calm down." I muttered

"Shut up. How can you even think I'll keep calm. You are freaking friends with Mahir Maheshwari. I want to know each and everything "she exclaimed

"Fine fine move inside metro. I'll tell you idiot" I sighed!!

 Why is she so much over excited.

And After entering metro I narrated the whole story.

"Oh my god. So much happened. My god. My best friend knows Mahir Maheshwari " she chirped clapping her hands

"Anjali but you have to promise me one thing "I warned

"Yeah yeah, I know what you want to say. I'll not tell anyone about this. This secret is also zipped "she said dramatically and I nodded.

" So Mahir told you to be friends huh" she said in a teasing way.

"Don't go on the track that you are even trying to okay" I warned and she laughed.

"Hyena" I mocked

" Ehh I hate you Surbhi"she whined

"I hate you too hyena" I grinned and we both laughed

Soon Anjali went to her home and I also came home.

"You came Surbhi di. Wait I'll bring you water" said bhabhi (sister in law)

"Yeah bhabhi. The day was really hectic" I told.

I and bhabhi have a great bonding. She's like a second mother to me.

Afteri drank water, I saw mom coming towards me.

"You came. Have you eaten the lunch or not Surbhi" here comes mom

"Yup mumma. I've eaten " I said

"Mumma where's bhai(brother )" I asked

"Here I am. Come let's have dinner" Bhai told and dad too joined.

We had our dinner and then I went to terrace.

I plugged in my headphones and started listening my favorite songs.

Soft soulful music.

I listen songs everyday but I don't know why they sound somewhat different today. I mean I'm liking them much more and soon All the events from today started running in my head again.

 The fight at the metro station... the dressing... the sorry...the thankyou... injection incident... food court...my cabin...his rude face....his hurt face...and in all this his laughing face.

I smiled.

Surbhi !! Why are you smiling.

 I don't know what hit my mind & I opened my instagram and typed his name.

Soon his official id was visible.

I clicked it and there was he!

He had very few photographs of his own. Mostly it was his photos on any cover page of magazines or his business meetings.

There were only a few pics of him that too with his family. Millions of followers and only 10 following & what I noticed was there wasn't even a single picture with those two friends about whom he was talking.

I went back and then clicked

#mahirmaheshwari.

And there came his infinite images. Phewww!!!

I scrolled down when I found one image of him that have been clicked today outside the hospital.

Paparazzi.

 I know. They don't let people live in peace.

I clicked that image and I found that girl with him. The same who was with him in metro station.

His girlfriend !!

 I frowned but I should not right

 She had everything. Class, elegance and confidence.

One minute. But Why I'm frowning.

Why didn't she come to meet his sister?

What you have to do Surbhi. Just stop thinking about it.

 I sighedand went inside to study but I was not able to focus on it today.

What the hell!!

Soon after studying for at least sometime I went to sleep.

Tomorrow again Hospital... patients... And.. And hope for all good...

I thought smiling and soon drifted to sleep.
