Mahir's POV

So here she was. 

After talking to her on phone the first thing I did was to tell the guards to let her car come inside.

After that I got busy with my work.  I was to attend a video conference with clients in London so I went in my room. After the video conference I got a call from my accounting manager.  Now why is he calling 

"Yes Rishi" I asked

"Sir there's an employee in our accounts team who wants a leave and that had to be signed by you and it's for tomorrow " he said

" What the hell. Now why do he want leave" I asked

"Sir... Actually.. He has a date with his fiancée and " he was saying when I cut him in between.

" Cancel the leave" I said in a flat tone

"But sir it's a leave from his personal leave schedule. He has not taken any leave in the year and according to protocol he can have a leave "he said

Now this was hell irritable. Leave. For a shitty date. Really

" Shut up okay. Shut up. I'm the boss not you. Don't tell me about what to do and what to not. Just do as I say.  Cancel the leave otherwise you are fired with him as well.  Understand " I snapped.

Like seriously. What the...

" But sir" he was about to say when I saw a pair of eyes on me.

She came. Surbhi came. And what happened next was unbelievable.

All my anger.. All my irritation all my frustration flew away. Just in seconds.
Can this happen in real life that seeing a face you forget everything around you.

Shut up Mahir.  It's real life not reel life. But it's happening you idiot.  Shut up Mahir. You are thinking much more.

"Sir are you listening " Rishi asked

" Yeah Yeah..allow the leave" I replied

"What.. You sure sir" he asked again

"Rishi.  I don't like to repeat the things " I said and cut the call and went towards Surbhi.

And the first thing she asked was..
'Now who got fired'

Like seriously...Indeed today someone was on verge of being fired but I think his luck was good because my mood changed.

And due to whom your mood changed Mahir.

Of course I can't deny the reason.  She reasoned me with the employee's leave.. And she was right at her point of view but for me a leave for holiday was a shit.

The way speaks, she makes me just stop talking and listen to her.

What has happened to you Mahir.  You are Mahir..That Mahir Maheshwari who's not affected by anyone so how can you get affected and that too by a girl. 

Come on Mahir. Go to your room and do your work. Pheww...
But when I was about to go I heard Her.

She was so happy playing with baby.

"Mahir. Listen come here" di called

"What happened di. You want something. Should I call someone " I asked

" No no Mahir. I was saying suggest me a name for baby naa" she said

I looked towards Surbhi who was looking at baby with tons and tons of love.

"Surbhi " I said and they both looked at me shocked.

"That's the name you want to suggest " di asked when senses knocked me.

Shit.  What as I saying. 

Even Surbhi was looking at me with shock.

Shit shit shit. What am I even doing.

" No.. No.. I... I.. Mean.. Surbhi is there... Ask her. I'm sure she'll suggest a good name" I replied covering what I blurted .

"Yeah.. But she said to ask anyone else" di said

"I don't know, you think " I told

" Hey.. I got a name" Surbhi chirped excitingly

See that's why I say she's a kid.

"So do we have to see a good time when you'll speak" I smirked

"But I didn't say you. I said this to di" she replied smirking back at me.

And soon they both burst out laughing.

"You know in years I've seen someone who can backfire him so greatly " di said laughing in between

" Thank you thank you.. My pleasure " Surbhi mocked

" Now if you are done with this not at all important talk... Can you tell me..  I mean tell us the name " I said

" Yeah.. So Di your name is Divya and baby.. Your dad's name is Raj " she said cooing the baby

" Wow... We didn't knew that. Thank you you told us" I mocked

"Baby.. Your uncle can't shut his mouth for just even minute. " she muttered and di started laughing.

This girl...Uuggghh

" So.. I was thinking Divya + Raj= Jivya. Jivya means life..A Bliss.. and indeed she's a beautiful life.." she said completing herself

I and di both were shocked. I mean how can she think so high.

Jivya... Yes she's our life... And the idea of combing names of di and jiju..

"What happened. If it's not good we can think anything else" she said looking at us.

Before I could say anything.. Di called mom and dad in the room.

"what happened Divya" dad asked

"Mom you know what Surbhi has done ?  She's told a name for baby. And I just loved this name and I want this name to be finalized" di said happily.

See I told you na this girl can make anyone smile... Just by a little act.

"Surbhi. Child what's the name you've suggested" Dad asked

"Uncle... Jivya... It's a combined name of Raj and Divya.. And Jivya means" said
Surbhi and before she could complete her sentence

"Life..A bliss. I too loved the name" I told and smiled looking at both baby and Surbhi.

She looked at me happily.

"Wow.. Surbhi. It's such a beautiful name. So it's final. Jivya." Mom announced and hugged Surbhi.

She's touching everyone' s heart.

Yeah Yeah!!!  EVERYONE.

I gestured Surbhi to give me baby. She handed me Lil doll.

"Jivya" I said looking at Lil baby and mouthed Surbhi thank you.

And in return I got what I actually expected ... Her Huge smile.

Soon it came time for her to go and I was given a responsibility from my Sister to drop Surbhi safe and sound at her home.

She said that she'll call driver but No.

Di was Di. So finally she was again in my car. Other then Mom,di and Priya... Surbhi was he first girl who's sitting beside me in my car.

"Surbhi's thank you for coming and for such a beautiful name" I thanked

"Now how many times will you say thank you " she asked frowning

" Okay.. Okay.. My mistake. Sorry" I replied

"Whooa... now sorry.  Like seriously. " she exclaimed

" Emm..sorr...I mean I'll not repeat it again madam" I Said and she chuckled.

"So madam... Poem as you said" I asked

"Emm yeah.. But I'll message you the pic okay "she told

" You'll not. I know " I frowned

" I will. Pinki promise " she said.

" There's nothing sort of pinki promise in this world. No word like pinki promise " I snapped. There has to be anything to spoil my mood.

For two minutes she didn't say anything.

" If you believe then there is everything. If you believe there is friendship.. If you believe there is trust... If you believe there is loyalty.. If you believe there is Love... And if you believe then there is promise. It all depends on what you believe. I believe in this all.. And so for me promises means a lot... Trust.. Friendship.. Loyalty.. Love everything means a lot.And if I've promised on something I maintain that promise. Hope you understand " she said looking at me and then turned towards window.

I was speechless again.  This girl always makes me think on these things which I've stopped believing. She's really something ....

"Promise me you'll message the poem to me till today night" I asked

She looked at me shocked. I know she might be thinking that before some minutes I was saying I don't believe in promises and now I'm saying this.

"Don't look at me as if you've seen ghost. Yes I'm saying this and close your mouth you'll catch a fly" I said

She instantly closed her mouth and I chuckled at it.

Her home came.  She took her bag and was about to open the door of the car...when I grabbed her hand and stopped her. She looked at me confusingly.

"You didn't reply Surbhi" I asked

"I never break my pinki promises...pinki Promises are meant to be kept " she whispered

"I believe you'll not break it. I believe you " I said and she smiled

"Take care " she said

" you too" I replied and went towards my home.

Whole the way I was thinking only one thing...

She's making me believe in things again...
She's making me smile again...

She's making me believe in everything that I've stopped believing years ago.

Surbhi what are you doing to Me.
What is happening with me...
