SURBHI'S POV

It's all happening right now.

My mama chunri was so much beautiful. I was ready in my red mama chunri lehenga with a mod  tied on my head.

SURBHI'S ATTIRE

As I went, I saw Mahir standing on the foot stool.

"Surbhi, mama phere (maternal uncle makes the bride take three rounds around groom) " Mummy said and I nodded.

Anjali had a plate full of rose petals in her hands. My maternal uncle came and held my hand while I filled my hands with rose petals.

I took two rounda around Mahir and showered the rose petals on him each time. In the third round as the ritual was, I showered the rose petals to his feet.

After this, I & Mahir came and sat in the mandap. The Mandap ( wedding pavilion ) was so much beautiful.

It was at the another side of the Palace in open. Sofas and cushions were placed with Lanterns and then a pool type structure in which Water was there covered with marigold flowers on which the Mandap was made.It had a way from outside to walk in it.

I mean amazing it was!!

  Anjali came to me telling that Meet have taken away Mahir's shoes. I smiled and told her that she can do anything  after all she had made someone fall for her madly.

Our marriage rituals started .

 I was happy as well as very sad the same time. My heart wanted to cry out so loud. It's just some hours..some damn hours and I've to leave behind everyone. I've to leave behind My mom dad.. bhai.. bhabhi.. Neeti di.. Jiju... everyone!!!!
We have to take the four phere and the priests would tell  us the meaning of every sacred phera.

 I and Mahir were to give each other all the seven promises and I know I'll read honesty and only honesty in his eyes.

It was the time of Kanyadan (giving away the daughter) . That time my heart pounded very fast. Kanyadan!!

I saw mummy and papa coming towards me. Tears pooled my eyes and I couldn't control my tears. They flowed out.

"No my princess don't cry" said papa coming to me.

His voice too was heavy. I know how hard it is for him too. The man who've not even raised his voice on me anytime. The man who is my king.. and I'm his princess... Today I've to  leave his home.
Mom was all teary eyed. She came and kissed my forehead.

 How can I even leave her. I've never stayed away from her more than a month. How I'll live my whole damn life!!! I'm mumma's girl. How I'll leave her.

"Maa.... " This was what I could only whisper.

The ritual started. Dad and mom performed the ritual and gave my right hand into Mahir's right-hand .

"Surbhi child now he's your world. Take care of your family. They're your family now and Mahir is your life now. Do the things which make your papa feel proud. " said Papa to me and I nodded while tears were flowing from my eyes. Papa took out his handkerchief and handed it to Mahir.

 Mahir touched my cheeks and wiped the tears away. 

" I'm here by giving you my princess Son. From now my responsibility overs here. She's your responsibility now Mahir. " said papa and Mahir nodded. 

"She's my Queen Papa.Don't worry"  Mahir assured and dad smiled.

The ritual got over nicely. I could hardly control my tears.It's not possible for me to control them. Neeti Di too was teary eyed but was wiping my tears away.

"Now we'll start the sacred pheras " said priest

According to Indian literature and holy scriptures in Indian weddings four rounds are taken around the fire. These rituals are according to the wedding rituals of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita.
"In the first three rounds the bride will be ahead the groom and in the last round groom will be ahead. " told the priest and we nodded.

Divya di came and covered my left hand and Mahir's right hand with help of a holy cloth.

"Tying your hands together means tying both of you with each other from now till eternity" said di & we nodded.

"Now the bride will take some promises from you and if you promise her all those then your phere will start" said priest

"Anything." replied Mahir looking at me and I smiled a little... He's always able to do so.

The priest told me to repeat after him and I did so. One by one I started asking him all the promises.

"The first promise I want from you is - From now whenever you'll do any holy or charity work or you'll go at any holy place,I'll accompany you everywhere. If you're ready to accept it then I'm ready to come to your left" I asked and he smiled

"I agree and I promise" He replied.

" The second promise I want from you is - you'll respect my parents as you respect your own parents and you'll always maintain your limits of being a family man. If you're ready to accept this then I'm ready to come to your left"I asked looking at my parents teary eyed.

Mahir looked at me and wiped my tear away.

"I promise I always will" He promised and I nodded

"The third promise I want from you is that- now  you'll care for me and abide me in every phase of your life that is ; your youth phase, mature age and old age. If you promise this I accept to come to your left" I asked  and he smiled

"I'll happily do. I promise"  said Mahir excited and everyone chuckled.

"The fourth Promise I want is- from today we're going to be bounded in a relation. If you promise to take the responsibility of me and Our family and our coming generation  then I'm ready to come to your left" I asked
"I promise " he promised

"The fifth promise I want is- in every decision that will be related to family in any manner..you'll always take my advice. If you're ready to promise this. I accept to come to your left "I asked and he nodded

"I promise" he replied

"The sixth promise I want is - whenever I'm with my friends and colleagues , You'll never say any bad word about me .You'll also keep yourself away from all the bad habits like gambling, drinking  etc. If you promise this then I accept to come to your left" I asked

"I can never imagine of saying it about you and well I don't have bad habits and still I promise no bad habits ever " Mahir promised and I smiled.

I know he can do anything for this smile on my face.. all these are very small things!!!

"The last and the seventh promise I want from you is that - you'll always consider another women as your sister and mother and you'll never let anyone come between our relation of husband and wife. If you promise this then I'm ready to come to your left forever "I asked looking at him.

" I know if this would've been a time ago then I wouldn't be completing it. Thinking of another women as mother and sister when I didn't even respect them was impossible.. but Surbhi you coming in my life turned everything possible!!! I promise you this one too. " he said and everyone cheered. I looked at him lovingly.

" Now you can start the phere" announced priest and I looked at Mahir.

Few months back I didn't even think that,  I'll be on this place today with the love of my life.

Our Sacred Pheras!!!

Mahir's POV

The wedding was amazing. I mean Surbhi was looking so so much pretty.

My eyes weren't off for her for even a second. This girl always win my heart. I thought what entry she might be doing but as for me my parents are above all similarly for Surbhi , her parents are the most important.

"Mahir you ready." asked Raj jiju coming and I nodded

"come let's go" He said and we all went down.

"Bro...Your shoes." said Meet and Aanand 

"They should be ours only" I smirked again.

"Done bro" he grinned and we all smirked.

"Call the bride too. Its 1:30 Am. It's auspicious time." said one of the priest

"Yeah.. she's here" came Neeti di's voice and I turned to look at my back.

There she was standing looking mesmerizing in that attire. She was looking amazing.

 I smiled and went again back and offered her my hand which she took and Neeti di and Keerti bhabhi held lehenga from bottom as it was heavy.

 She smiled looking at me and my heart fluttered.

When for the mama phere as soon as I removed my shoes, Meet came and took them away.

"Yeesss!!! " I shouted and everyone laughed.

Oh Shit!! What am I doing!!

Surbhi too chuckled at this.

"Mahir you're not a kid anymore. It's your wedding and you're doing like this " scolded dad and I looked down embarrassed.

"Wow.. no one ever gets to see The Business tycoon Mahir Maheshwari to be scolded by his father in front of so many people "  Aanand smirked 

Thank god media isn't allowed here.

We went there and sat on our places. As ritual right now Surbhi came and sat on my right side.

The priests started chanting their holy phrases.

Anjali came there and she whispered something in Surbhi's ear and Surbhi replied something to which Anjali giggled.

Something's cooking up there !

She went away and the rituals started. Surbhi was sitting there looking at everyone and especially her family with a heavy heart. After certain rituals it was the time for the taking sacred rounds around the holy fire but before it Surbhi took seven promises from as rituals and I happily agreed and promised her for those.

"You may start the phere now , but before it you must know what these four sacred phere means " said the priest and we nodded

"These four phere depicts the Pursharth ( object of human pursuit) that includes Dharm (Righteousness, Duty),  Artha (Wealth),  Kam (Desire)  and Moksh ( Liberation) respectively.
When the bride is ahead the groom for the first three rounds that means she promises to be ahead from the groom for the first three pursharth forever for life. " He told and Surbhi nodded.

".The first phera is the sign of Dharm. It means that a Man is incomplete without a woman. Therefore she's always ahead. In the whole life , she'll be always be ahead for performing her duties and commitments. That will be her Dharm.
Now take the first phera "  he guided and we nodded.

We took our first phera and came and stood there.

Surbhi was very calm and looking down all the time. I know the condition of her heart and honestly I'm in ache seeing her like this.

"For the bride,  it will be her duty to do everything which will be always productive for the groom and family. For the groom to Walk on the line of honesty and collect wealth and prosperity. It also means that the husband and wife will always fulfill the right financial  demands of each other. This is Arth. Now complete the second phera" Said the preist and Surbhi nodded.
We completed our second phera.

"It also means you'll fulfill and pay for her all the demands including accessories, all the dates and etc etc.." Divya di smirked and I chuckled.

"For the bride her first priority will be completing every desire of her to be husband. This phera is the sign of love and trust between each other. The husband and wife should support each other selflessly and happily. She has to take his care and should complete all his desires for the lifetime. This is Kaam.
Now complete the third phera " said priest and we completed the same.

"Now the groom will come ahead for this one. Only a husband is able to take his wife at the path of spirituality. This phera is the phera of  Salvation. The phera of getting free from all the griefs.  After Living the married life happily , it's the step of salvation. Whenever there will be a chance of blessing and liberation or self realization , the wife will always keep husband above her to take all the blessings and self liberation. She'll accompany him from behind on this path but will never come before him on the path of liberation. This is Moksh.
Now Mahir come ahead and then you both complete the last Phera" said the priest .

We nodded and I moved ahead Surbhi and we completed our last phera.

"The ritual of sacred phera is completed without any problems. Now you both come and sit on your places but exchange your places now. " Announced the priest.

We sat on our places and Surbhi sat on my left. It is said that bride sits on the left now because the bride will now always reside in the heart of the groom and heart is on the left side!!!

Amazing concepts right!!

"It's time to give all the seven promises to each other. You both will give seven promises one by  one to each other and this holy fire, we people and God is witness of all these promises that you both will fulfill  till your last breaths." announced one of the priest and we nodded.

"We  will say each promise one by one and you'll repeat it after us" said Another priest.

The priest started telling us the promises and one by one we started promising each other all of them.

"Today we are taking the first step towards our marriage and in this the first promise I make to you is , today I announce you as my better half and with you I'll create a new journey of our life. I'll take your and our families care and nourish the whole family and our children. From today you'll reside in me as a part of my body" I promised looking at her and she smiled.

"I too promise to make you my priority and accept you as my husband. I promise to nourish and do betterment for our families and children welfare. I'll always take care of you and our families " she vowed

"The second promise I make to you is, I'll always be committed to you. I with my whole heart, make you the goddess of our family and I promise to love you forever and be your  strength and support throughout the life. I promise that I'll always be loyal and faithful to you" I swored

"I too promise that I'll willingly accompany you in your every responsibility. I'll be your courage and strength throughout the life and I'll love you with all my heart forever " She professed and I smiled.

You're already loving me!!!!

"The third promise I make to you is that, I'll work hard putting my all the efforts to bring wealth and prosperity in your life and our family's life. I'll always take your Care and will try my best that no disease touch you until I'm There." I promised

"I too promise that I'll be a responsible woman and My all love as a wife and lover will be only for you..Every other man will always be secondary for me. My husband that is you will be only and my everything in this universe. My devotion to you is pure and you'll be my joy" She vowed and I smiled.

I know my love.. I know!!

"The fourth promise I give you is a thankyou to you for making my life beautiful and complete. I promise to respect both the set of families. I'll always respect your feelings and your wishes and will always try my best to complete  them." I pledged 

Yes I always thank her for giving me a new Life!!!

"I too thankyou for making my life beautiful and filling it with joy. I promise to stand beside you in all the rituals, family and religious commitments and will always walk by your side. I promise to acquire happiness and harmony via respect.. care and concern towards you. In your bad times, I'll always be there and whenever you'll be sick , I'll make my day and night one to cure you. I promise that if in any case danger intercept your way , I'll stand before you to save you and for saving you , I'll be always ready to sacrifice myself too. " She committed and I looked at her with all my love.

"The fifth promise that I give you is , I'll be sharing my each and every happiness and sorrows with you. I'll be a one woman man forever and I'll not see any other woman in the world as I see you and I promise, I'll never give your place to anyone else in my life. Before accepting you as my wife I accept you as my best friend. I promise to teach our children love and care too." I professed and she blushed at this one!!!

Yes! You're my best friend My love!!

"I too promise to be your bestfriend first and then wife. I'll share my each and every talk with you and all the happiness and sorrows with you. I pray to God to shower us with healthy children and we to gather will enrich values in them. I promise to honor you with all the respect and honesty. Your love will be only thing that will make me happy" she confessed

"The sixth promise I give you is that I'll always keep you very happy and will respect you whole heartedly. I'll devote my all the time to you whenever you'll need me. I give you all the rights to maintain our home as you want. From today you're the Goddess and Landlady of our home." I admitted

"I too promise you that my respect towards  you will be my everything and I'll always treat your family as mine and your parents as my parents. . I too devote myself and my whole time to you" Surbhi swore

"The last but never the least seventh promise I give to you is that,  our love and friendship will be till eternity . It will always be inseparable and firm. We're spiritually bonded with each other and I promise our bond will be Growing more stronger and stronger each day. I love you and as we're  husband and wife.. now you've become completely Mine and I'm happily completely Yours for the next seven births" I promised and she smiled a little looking at me.

Woww!!!! She's Mine!!! I So Love This Word Mine!

"I've become your wife in front of the holy fire.. God.. scriptures and all the people. I promise, I'll never let you down. You're my husband by the law of creator and I'm your wife. You've all the rights on me.. my heart and my body. I shall love you forever and From today you're mine and I'm completely yours for the next seven births" She vowed looking at me and a tear left her eye.

I smiled and wiped that away. I know she's my baby. My emotional love!!

"The vows and phere have completed nicely " announced the priest.

I looked at Surbhi and she smiled.

The mixture of emotions she was facing right now was visible on her face. She had a smile on her face because she was happy that she's marrying the love of her life but at the same time her tears were flowing from her beautiful eyes because of the pain of leaving her home. I'm also sad but I can't do anything.

"A marriage is incomplete without Sindoor daan (Vermilion  donation) .Now the groom will apply sindoor in Bride's hair partition thrice" said the priest and I nodded.

Divya di came with the plate in which  Sindoor  was kept.

" Make her yours" she whispered and and I smiled.

Keerti bhabhi came forward and raised the head jewellery of Surbhi.

I took the silver coin and put some vermillion on it!

OH GOD!!

I'm doing this!!!

In these some months my life has come so ahead. Where that Mahir ,who always ran away from the name of friends, Love, relations, marriage and where this Mahir , who's going to settle down today and that too with the person whom he thought that he can't be even a Friend with !

 Whom he thought to be the same girl as everyone else but....who came in his life changing not only him but his whole life.
Who returned him back all that what he lost a long time ago. Who returned him back love and happiness.

People say this right that God has made all the pairs with his own hands.

He knows that who will fit with whom.

 Thankyou so much God. Thankyou for sending her in my life.

"Mahir.. what are you thinking.. bro another thoughts regarding marriage " asked Aanand tapping my shoulder and everyone chuckled.

"Never. Thought other then her never came" I whispered and looked at Surbhi who was looking down.

I smiled and pulled her chin up by my finger.

Her eyes were still down in shyness.

I raised the coin of vermilion and filled her front hair partition with Sindoor thrice.

 She had her eyes closed and this time a tear of happiness fell from her eyes.

"Marriage is completed successfully. Now you are husband and wife. Take blessings from everyone" announced the priests and we nodded.

You're husband and wife!!!!

This is ecstatic !!

We took blessings of all the priests and elders.

Everyone clapped and cheered and were congratulating each other.

I looked at her and pointed to her nose.

"What " she whispered and I smiled and wiped her nose by my thumb. The vermilion was fallen on her nose too. She smiled at this.

"Congratulations bro. Finally married " yelled Aanand happily and I smiled hugging him.

"Congratulations Mrs. Surbhi Mahir Maheshwari " I said smiling and she smiled at me happily.

"Now you are officially My Wife. " I told and she smiled.

"Yes. Surbhi Mahir Maheshwari. Your wife" She whispered in my ear.

"It is five Am. Vidaai will take place at sharp six. " announced priest and Surbhi looked at me.

 Tears began falling from her eyes.

"Surbhi. Go and change in your wedding attire again "  Mom told coming and she nodded.

Keerti bhabhi and Neeti di took her back to her suite.

I know it's tough for her and family. I turned and Meet was standing there.

"Shoes went away" He frowned

"And Anjali did it right " I asked

"Yes.. Anjali did it" Shouted all the cousins of Surbhi from back and I smiled

"It's okay. I knew that's going to happen,,if you're a love sick puppy" I said whispering last part in Meet's ear and he chuckled!

Everyone was here and this ritual was, where bride's cousins hide Groom's shoes and then groom's family give money to cousins and they give back the shoes.

I gave them a good amount of money and they returned my shoes happily. We all also came back to palace's reception side.

I was Married. I'm no longer a bachelor!!

Surbhi's my wife.

 I'm a husband now.!!!!

God!!! I'm so so so much happyyy.

Suddenly some voices came from back and I looked back where she was coming back but all teary and crying.

Damn!!It's really so much difficult.

 SURBHI'S POV

Marriage!! It's Done. Finally married.

I'm finally married to Mahir. 

God!!!Who thought this some months back. I didn't even thought that I'm going to marry!!

When Mahir was applying vermilion I closed my eyes. Tear of happiness fell from my eye and the memories from The metro station till now were flashing in front of me.

 Thankyou God. Thankyou so much for making that day in my life. Thankyou so much for giving me Mahir as husband. Thankyou so much!!!

I was very happy when Mom came and told me that it's vidai in one hour.

I felt as if ground has slid beneath my feet!!

Neeti Di and Keerti Bhabhi came and took me back to the suite to get changed in wedding attire.

I was crying and only crying. I've to leave. I've to leave everyone. Its time to go.

"Surbhi." Said Keerti bhabhi tapping my shoulder

"Yeah" I whispered

"Change in this one" told Neeti di

"I don't want to go.I'll not go anywhere leaving you." I said

"Surbhi. You've to. We all went away leaving our homes. Keerti came leaving her home .You've married Mahir. You too have to go"  Neeti Di whispered and I hugged her tightly

"I don't want to go Didi.Please. I'll not be able to live." I cried

"Surbhi.Child..." Came mummy's voice.

"Maa" I said and ran and hugged her.

"Maa...." I sobbed

"No my child. You've to be strong" She swhispered

"No I'm not.I don't want to be." I cried

"Surbhi come here.Change in your wedding attire baby.Your Mahir is waiting for you downstairs" said Neeti Di and I looked at her.

I supressed my tears , took it and changed into it and came out of the dressing room and saw Mummy again.

Neeti Di was rubbing her back consoling her.

"See her. She said me to be strong." I wept and mummy wiped her tears.

"Maaa...how I'll live without you. I've not learnt to." I said crying and rested my head in her lap.

She caressed me and said me to look at her.

"Surbhi. When I came from my mother's home, I was Also not used to it. In fact no one of us is used to it..but slowly you get along with it. Your family has extended. You've joined two families together child. You've to go with the one you've married and promised rest of your life" said mummy wiping my tears but it wasn't possible.

 Her tears were also flowing and mine eyes were also not ready to stop.

"Mummy. I'll miss you" I sobbed hugging her tightly and we both cried.

I looked up at Neeti Di who was also wiping her tears.

I stood up and hugged her tightly crying.

"Who'll disturb me every time now. Who'll take my side now when everyone will be against me"  Di lamented.

"I don't know...I don't know what I'll do without you Di. In every small problem I used to run and come to you. Now what will I do. Who'll tell me not to get angry on every small thing. Who'll listen to my nonstop shit from morning to night." I bawled

"You've eaten my head enough.. Now go and eat Mahir's head" she chuckled while crying and I cried more

"I can't. No one can replace you." I sobbed and she wiped my tears.

"I love you baby sis and I'll miss you" she sniffled and I hugged her tightly and cried

"Take care of your health di. Take care of everyone. Take care of mummy and papa and don't work too much. I'll miss you and this lil one" I said touching her belly and she cried.

"Don't please.It's not good for your health" I told kissing her cheek and she nodded.

I looked at Bhabhi who was giving water to mummy.

"Bhabhi" I whispered and she looked at me teary eyed.

"You know right now we're Here , but once I'll go home that mansion will not be as it was. It's life will move to another home. I don't know how I'll even maintain everything without you. How I'll tease your brother alone.It's all incomplete without you Surbhi Di" she wept and hugged me and cried

"You know..I even don't know how to get ready nicely. Whom I'll say my savior who always had a solution for every problem. I don't know what I'll do there." I said and cried hugging her.

She wiped my tears.

"Don't take tension about mummy and papa. I'm their daughter right. I'll take Care of them and your brother. I know I can't complete your presence but I'll try " she consoled and I wiped her tears.

"I know you'll take care of them and more good than me. It's just your responsibility will increase now.You know you've to do my work also. You've to tease bhai and at the same time you've to look after everyone. Whenever they'll be sad , you'll have to crack silly jokes to make them laugh. You're their support system bhabhi. Tell me you'll complete my presence na. It's only your home now " I said and she hugged me again.

"I can't. I can't ever take your place and dare you say it my home. It was always your home and it will always be" she cried and I hugged her more tightly

"I'll miss you so much" I sobbed 

"I'll miss you more" she said wiping my tears.

"Lets move down. Everyone is waiting" said Aneer jiju coming and it looked as if he has wiped his tears right now.

"Take care of yourself and don't worry about anyone. We're here to take everyone's care. Be happy and if there's any problem ever we're just a call away"  jiju consoled and I hugged him crying.

"Take care of di and yourself. Don't go anywhere now due to any work. Be with her and now your love won't be divided into two" I said smiling with tears and he chuckled wiping my tears while his eyes were already red as if controlling to shed down the holding tears.

"Her love for you will always be yours. No one could take that..I promise no more travelling right now and all time for her" He told and I looked at him teary eyed.

We all came downstairs and as soon as lift opened  I saw bhai and Papa teary eyed.

The toughest and the strongest man I thought was my father but today I found him shedding tears and helpless just because of his selfless love for me... Just for the one whom he taught to walk by holding her little fingers. Today memories of childhood were flashing in front of eyes when Papa ran to shops to bring candies for me when I cried or when he became a horse just to make her daughter happy.

 It's truly said that a daughter is born in mother's womb but she resides forever in a father's heart!!

"Papa... " I whispered and hugged him.

"I don't want to go Papa. Please. I don't want to go. " I whimpered

"Princess. If it would've been in my hands I've never sent you away" said papa teary eyed and I hugged him more tightly

"My legs are not ready to move papa. Please don't leave me alone" I sobbed 

"Princess.. you're my strong child. Don't cry like this" said papa wiping my tears.

"I'm not strong. Everyone's saying I'm strong. No!! I'm not. I don't want to be. I can't leave you all. You're my family. I've not stayed away from you ever. How can I. Tell me who'll come to me when I'll be frightened. Who'll hug me and makeup a story just to divert my attention. Who'll take my side even if I'm wrong for once... who'll teach me what's right and what's wrong. Who'll wake up till late night when I'll be coming late from hospital. Who'll... who'll call me princess everyday " I wept and cried more harder and he hugged me crying.

I was in papa's arm for more then five minutes and crying too much.

"Surbhi.. " came Anjali's voice and I looked up and hugged her.

"I'll miss you" I sobbed

"I'll miss you much more" she said and we cried hugging each other.

"Visit mummy papa frequently " I told and she slapped me lightly

"Is that a thing to tell. Of course I'll visit them. You just take care of yourself and be happy.Mahir is lucky to have a wife like you and I'm lucky to have a best friend like you" She said wiping my tears.

"You know I'll not eat Maggie now. My maggie partner will not be there... I can't even swallow it" she bawled

"Anjalii" I cried hugging her more tightly.

"Bhai... where's he" I asked when I didn't see him anywhere.

"Papa. Boat has come. " came a heavy voice.

"Bhaii" I whispered and he looked away.

"See him. He wants to send me as soon as possible " I whined crying complaining to papa as a four year old  child.

"Bhai will you not even hug me for last time " I said wiping my tears and he came running and hugged me tightly.

"How can you even think that I want to send you away from us. Huh. I'm not that bad" he whispered

"I know. You're much more bad. You're sending me.  Why don't you stop me today as you did when I went out alone in night to hospital emergency. Why don't you say papa and mumma to keep me at home only " I sobbed

"That I used to say as jokes Surbhi. " He told

"No...But, I don't want to go Bhaiya. " I sobbed and he hugged me tightly

"If there would've been a way to keep you with us.. I would've fought with everyone..but I'm helpless" He sobbed

"I used to say you na that I'll be very happy when you'll go to your husband's house. I didn't know that this day is so painful. You're my baby.The one who scold me like mom and one who love me like mom. I'll be missing your cakes and doughnuts. Behind whom I'll run around in the house and Who'll say me that you look like monkey" He cried and I looked at him.

"You... you look.. Like A Monkey" I sobbed and he smiled and hugged me again and cried.

All my cousin brothers were also crying!

 I hugged bhai and all my brothers cried and I sat on the floor crying badly.

"Surbhi... child don't do like this" said Mummy and everyone coming.

I looked at Mom.. Dad.. . Aanand.. Priya.. Harsh.. Divya di and everyone was teary eyed.

Tears flowed more and more now.

"Surbhi... " Came a voice and I looked up.

Mahir was standing there looking at me.

He bent down and mummy and Neeti di left me to give him space.

He opened his arms and I hugged him tightly.

I cried much more now.

"Calm down" He consoled

"I.. I.. don't... I don't want.. to leave.. leave them Ma.. Mahir" I sobbed.

"Surbhi calm down... please for me" He said and I buried my head in his chest crying.

He helped me to stand up and was hugging me till now. I left him and looked at him.  Tears were falling even now.

"I'm sorry to disturb you all but I couldn't see you all crying like this. See even Mom and dad are also teary eyed. " He told and I closed my eyes to let the tears flow out.

"Today I want to promise you one thing mummy and papa and Surbhi you too. " he told and they all looked at him teary eyed while I was still sobbing!

"Your daughter will live with me but will not get away from you ever. She's leaving or in fact I must say she's shifting from this home to that home. Just a place to live will change. Nothing else will change. I promise. " he said to mummy and papa and looked at me.

He took my hand in his and made me look at him.

"I promise Nothing will change between you and family and not even me and family and ever if you feel like this, beat me up badly to make my head work properly " he said and I looked at him and cried more!

"It's time child. Imprint your hands on the back of your brothers " said priest and I nodded.

One by one I imprinted my hands on the back of my all brothers on white handkerchiefs.

Bhai and Papa held my hands till the end of the gate. There was the boat standing.

"Papa.. mummy..." I sobbed and hugged them back crying.

These tears!!! They weren't ready to stop.

"Go child..and see A new Day.. A new Sun... A new  life... A new family is waiting for you" Said papa pointing to the sun which was to come out after a couple of minutes.

"I love you all and I'll miss you all badly " I cried.

Dad hugged Papa and tapped his shoulder.

"I'm not taking away a daughter in law. I too gave a daughter and I can understand this feeling.  I'm taking away my own daughter.She's now my princess too. " told dad and Papa smiled.

Mom also hugged Mummy.

"I already believed her to be my lovely daughter the day I saw her for the first time but today I'm applying seal to our daughter mother relation and taking her to her own home only. I'm her mother but you'll always be her Maa. Just make a call and your daughter will be right in front of you whenever you will want." assured mom to Mummy and I hugged her crying.

"I..maa...maa!!" That was all I could utter

Papa turned to Mahir and he touched Mummy and Papa's feet. 

Papa hugged him and looked at him.

"Want to say you so much but words are not coming out of the mouth. Now you know my daughter more better than me. I know she can't get better than you. Just keep her safe and happy. God bless you both for the new life" wished papa and we both hugged him and I cried!

"Don't cry princess. I'm giving you to your King "Said papa and I denied

"You're my king and I'll be missing you and Mumma so much" I lamented

He gave my hand to Mahir and Mahir hugged me sidewise and took me to the boat.

I looked at them again and was looking at them all crying till they were off my sight.                                              

I was moving on in life leaving behind my home.. my childhood... my parents.. my brother... my family.. my memories.

I was moving on with one hand who's holding my hand right now.

I hugged Mahir and cried more.

I know in his arms I can cry..Forever. 

May be that's what we call A Girl's  life.

From a Girl to a Woman..

From Unmarried to Married... 

From a Daughter to a Daughter in law..

And From ...

A Daughter or sister or friend  to  A WIFE.

Yes!! That's From Where The Journey Starts All Over Once Again.
