Surbhi's POV

I jumped from the bed in a jerk.

 Am I late again? 

 It was 8 am. No , not much. Saturday. Means no college. Only hospital but till evening.

Come on Surbhi wake up and get ready for work.

After getting ready, I went down stairs.

 Dad and everyone else were on dining table waiting for me. Yesterday night Neeti di was here only. I told her everything what happened in these days.

She told me that life was going to take a turn.

But what she was trying to say was out of my mind's reach so I just said good night to her.

"Surbhi in which world princess " Papa asked

"Nothing papa . Was just thinking about hospital" I replied

"Yeah. that's the problem. You think about hospital and patients. What about you." Mom asked looking at me.

 I know in which direction she was going.

"Mom don't start again please. I'm just 25." I whined

" You will be 26 soon" she reasoned

"That soon is after 4 months. Papa you say her naaa" I whined turning towards dad

"Let her complete her exams first. Then we will think about it" dad said and I grinned 

"Now let me eat" I smirked looking st mom and mouthed papa a thankyou while he smiled.

After finishing my breakfast I called Anjali.

"Where are You. I am waiting" I said

"Surbhi !!! I don't have duty today in hospital. You ruined my sleep. idiot" Her hoarse voice came.

Oh God. I forget it.

"Oh!!. I'm sorry. I forget " I said

"Good night again " she replied and I chuckled cutting the call.

The driver dropped me directly to hospital and I was about to enter inside when I saw something.

 A four-five year old kid was selling tea.

Can you imagine?

That tea pot was so heavy for him and he didn't even had slippers in his feet. Just then a person came to him and scolded him so badly for not properly working and pushed him away.

Is he a human or monster!! I ran and picked him up.

Thank God tea didn't spill on him.

"You okay boy" I asked him

"yes-yes" he said.

"Why do you work here. You should go to school " I asked him.

" I can't. Is school more important than food. This tea selling is my livelihood. It earns me food" he replied.

I didn't know what to say. Honestly there were so many children like him outside. I stood up and saw that man moving away.

"Stop there" I angrily spoke.

"Are you a human being or not. Is this a way to treat a child" I added angrily.

"Children should be treated in this way only otherwise they dance on your head "he said

" Then I guess the same way you push away your children also" I bitterly spoke.

"That's none of your business and mind your own work. " he snapped

" I am minding my own business and I'll definitely make sure to ruin your business filing a case on you for child labor and harrassing a small child.  Remember that. "I warned and went to that child.

"What's your name"  I asked him

"Jay" he said

"You stay here only " I asked

" Yeah. On that footpath" he said and my heart clenched.

"Where are your parents " I asked him

" I don't know. I was alone from starting" he said.

I hugged him tightly and told him to meet him soon. 

Before going I made him eat something from near by food stall.

"I'll see you soon" I said

"You are very sweet didi" he told and I smiled

"Not more than you" I mumbled and went inside the hospital.

 I'll definitely talk to dad about this. I want to afford his education and living expenses. This is the least I can do for him.

Mahir's POV

I reached hospital but what I saw made me feel proud of Surbhi.

I silently went there and looked at the way Surbhi took care of the boy. That little boy who was looked so innocent but there was one thing missing in his eyes.

That was happiness...Dreams.

I listened to them and the way Surbhi handled that person.  Wow.  And more than that the way she showed affection to the child..Her kindness touched me. 

And see the magic of her smile.  She made the kid smile. She was really different from others.

After she went away. I went to the boy and talked to him.

"Do you want to go to school "I asked

" Who don't want to. But food is priority before it and that's why I can't go there.  I've to earn to feed my stomach " he said

" What if you get the food too" I asked

"Really. Then I am ready" he exclaimed excitedly

"what do you want to become " I asked him

" Firstly I just wanted work to earn money for food but now as I can study I want to become like you. I want to wear clothes and shoes like you. I want a big car like you and want to be able to help others like me." I was amazed by his last words

I called my bodyguard and asked him to bring a pair of shoes.. new pair of clothes and the school uniform of the school by which Maheshwari's NGO was related.
Soon he came with it. 

"Send him to our children home and tell the manager to take care of him and even everybody  there properly otherwise it will not take me a minute to fire him."I ordered my bodyguard

"Yes sir" he replied

"Jay. He'll take you to your new home. Make new friends.  Eat properly there and go to school. One day you'll become more big man than me" I said making him wear his new shoes and handing him his clothes.

"You are very sweet like that didi" he grinned

"No. Not more than her" I replied and smiled.

"But she said me to meet again. Now how will I meet her" he asked innocently. 

Yeah even I'll not meet her after today.

"I'll tell her to come to your new home" I said

"Really. You are so good. You also come with her" he told and the innocence of the kid who didn't even know that this was the last day I was meeting Surbhi.

" Okay. We both will come. Now take care and study well. Bye " I replied

" Bye bye" he said moving into the car and I looked towards the tea stall manager very angrily.

"Sir..sir" he was going to say

"Shutup!! Don't you even have a little sense in yourself. I'll see how you'll run this stall of yours now" I shouted

"Sir..no please don't do that. It's the only way of my earning. How I'll feed my family and my little kids" he said joining his hands and crying

"Wasn't he a little kid" I asked

"I'm really sorry sir. I promise I'll not repeat this again" he said

"It will be better for you otherwise it won't take me time to complain against you" I warned and moved away.

I went towards the hospital again. I don't want anyone to know about it not even Surbhi because doing a good deed and telling everyone is just showoff.

I did it by heart and don't want to mention it to anyone.

I entered the hospital and as soon as I reaches the fourth floor my eyes searched for one person.

"Surbhi" I called her name as I saw her.
