Surbhi's POV

Everything what happend today was revolving in my mind constantly. I can't even imagine that in which pain Mahir was suffering since years.
I am happy that I came in his life and I was able to make him free from this horrible past.

"Surbhi what's this all" asked di when we were in living room where as Mahir was sitting in living room.

"Yes Surbhi. Till today you were crying... You were tensed for him... And now you met him.. You told you don't know where's he.. And now you made him come here..what's all this" asked jiju.

"And wait. Surbhi. You cried again..and. I saw Mahir's face also. It was badly tear stricken. You both are.. " Di said but I cut her off

"Di.. Di.. Calm down. And you also jiju. I'll tell you everything. Just let me say" I replied and they both nodded

I told them everything whatever happened today except whole thing about his past.

"I've told you everything expect what happened in his past because I've promised him that I'll not share about it. It's just as I told it was very very bad... Not a heart break in love but actually a heart break in friendship and you even can't imagine what he has faced. I used to tell you naa di that he's not what he looks from outside. Today I came to know that behind this strong , cold hearted person as everyone say him , is a very kind but a very broken person" I whispered and tears started falling from my eyes again

"We never imagined anything like this. That's why his face is so red and teary." said di and I nodded

"And you know di why he didn't reply my messages" I asked

"He Might have thought that you'll do the same like whatever happened in his past? " Asked jiju

" No jiju. Even I though this t but you know what he said... He has full trust on me that I'll never do anything like that to him. He.. He doesn't trust himself. He thought that he can never be a good friend. He.. He thought that he's not worth for a friend like me. " I replied

"He's such a sweet guy Surbhi. He thinks that he's not a good friend. How to tell him that for you he's much more than a good friend"  di said

"Yeah di. But I don't want to tell him my feelings. I don't think he reciprocates them. And at least not now. I'm happy if being his friend I can heal him." I said and they both nodded

"When did our Surbhi grew up so much" said jiju hugging me.

"Di..I'm sorry. I didn't tell you both and bought him home. But you know today he has for the first time shared his past with anyone and if at this time he'll be alone then he will only think about this and I don't want him to think about that anymore" I told

"We know. And we're happy that you bought him here. We don't have any problem with it" Jiju said

"Yeah. Okay. Now you also go and freshen up. Then come downstairs. Today you'll be happy after all having a dinner with.... " di winked

" What di.. Don't start now okay" I whined

"Ohhh.. Someone's blushing " jiju teased

" You both are just... Mad" I said and went out of the room.

I heard them laughing. We went to Mahir and after talking to him for minutes jiju showed him guest room.

Before going he mouthed me a thankyou and I smiled in return.

"Don't blush idiot " said di from behind.

" What. Am I?" I asked turning to her

"Yeah" di said and started laughing again.

Now I've become a topic of laughing.

I hurriedly ran to my room smiling.

Thankyou God. You've provided me my reason to smile. You've provided me his smile.

I came downstairs after getting freshened up.

Mahir was sitting in the living room with jiju talking about something. I went to di in the kitchen.

"Di I'll take all this to dining , you've done enough "I said and took all the food to the dining table.

" Jiju come. Mahir... Come" I called. 

Butterflies on stomach..

Till now I've read it in novels only but today I was able to feel it when calling his name.

Jiju and Mahir seemed to have a good bonding in few hours only.

"Surbhi. What are you smiling at" asked jiju smirking

"No.. No.. Nothing.. Food.. The food smells delicious right " I said hiding the reason behind my smile.

" Yeah. It really smells good. Eating something of home for the first time in London. Thank you so much"thanked Mahir

"Mahir. You are just like Surbhi to me. Okay.. So no need for thankyou and all " said di.

He smiled and we all started eating our food.

" So.. Surbhi.. What's tomorrow's plan" asked jiju

"Emm.. Nothing till now" I said

"Surbhi why don't you go for shopping tomorrow " di exclaimed 

"What. Without you... No..I want a company you know right" I said 

"Take your jiju with you " di commented and we both burst out laughing

" No..I will not. I have important meetings tomorrow "  jiju frowned

" Surbhi. Just do one thing take Mahir with you." said di and next I know that I glared her gesturing her to shut up!!

"What. Are you out of mind ? He.. He might have his work" I glared di

"Is that so Mahir " asked jiju

"Em..actually.. no..In fact I am going back to India after 4-5 days" Mahir said

"Okay then. Accompany me tommorow " I told getting up

"Okay " he said smiling

"All the very best"  di and jiju spoke giving him thumbs up!

"I..I didn't understand.. all the best for what" asked Mahir

"That you'll come to know tomorrow " di giggled

"Di..stop it..and stop giggling" I said folding my hands

"Okay..okay..We're going to sleep..you both can carry on talking." jiju told

"Yeah..Good night and sleep soon okay" said di and we nodded.

After di and jiju went away Mahir turned to me.

"They are really very nice and frank..just like Divya di. Thankyou.. you all Made me feel family " he thanked

You are family for me Mahir. 

"Yeah. There is no one like them in world" I replied

We went upstairs to my room.

"You are here for the first time Surbhi" he asked

"No.I was here once with dad but I was small " I told

"How did you look when you were small" he asked excitedly

"I was a witch" I said and laughed

"Oh, is that so...I want to see that witch" he said

"No..need" I replied frowning

"I want..please " he whined

"You'll not laugh at it" I asked 

"Promise" he said

I smiled and from my bag I pulled out my diary.

"Hey! It's your poem diary" he exclaimed

"Emm..yeah..it has my four photos.The first when I was a toddler.. second when I was 8-9 and then of teenage and then one of now" I told.

"You are ready to show it to me" he asked

"Of course. You can see it" I said

"Then show" he asked 

"Ooo..wait wait. You'll not read anything" I said and he frowned

"What. Why.. I want it to" he told

"Not the whole...few only.." I said

"Okay fine. You choose which one and I'll read them" he said excitedly like a kid

"Mahir. Can I ask you for something" I questioned

"Yeah..sure" he replied

"Keep this curve on face like this only. Don't let this child inside you die" I said

He didn't say anything for sometime.
I think I should've not said this right now.

"If this child will be with me in my mischives everytime...then I'll not let the child inside me die and I'll try..that.. this curve on my face be like this only " he replied smiling pointing his finger at me.
This was something which I never thought.

"Say..will you support me in mischives " he asked 

"Yes. Always " I said.

"Now let me see the witch" he mocked and I slapped him lightly on his shoulder in return of which I received his laughter.

He started seeing those pics.

"Surbhi. Is that you. So small and see..you were irritating your mother" he said and laughed

"Mahir...just see okay..don't laugh" I said

"Surbhi. You look so cute in this hilly area dress. Where you went " he asked

"I was eight when we all went to Mussoorie . That time I wore this." I said

"Surbhii... you were so thin in teenage.. like a stick" he mocked.

"Mahir." I whined.

"And that's you now. It's of your convocation ceremony I guess" he said

"Yeah. The day of life when I finally got the title of Doc " I told smiling

"Yeah..Dr.Surbhi" he repeated

"You looked cute when you were small teenage and now...beautiful.  So I came to A conclusion that I did not see any photos of witch.. I saw some good photos of  Ms.Surbhi" he said

"Okay..okay...I also want to see your childhood photos" I told

"Come to home in India then.. because I don't have them right now " he replied and I nodded

"Okay...now let me read your poems" He said and I gave him my diary opening a page.

He read it with full concentration.

"Surbhi, How do you write this deep. Did anything like all this happened in your life " he asked

"No..no..Nothing have happened. I don't know why everyone think like this.. It's just that I see my surrounding...These things happen near my surrounding so I can always feel it and Then I pen down them in the form of poems and quotes " I explained

" Ohh..okay..You've made me speechless. You've written both the poems so so good " he complimented

"Thankyou. thankyou. "I  grinned

"Mahir.  You don't have work for some days na. And you've seen London before I guess" I asked and he nodded

"So.. Will you please be my tourist guide... I mean will you show me London " I said making puppy eyes

" Making this puppy eyes was not necessary " he told  and I looked down shyly

" Fine.. So shopping for tomorrow and then for 3-4 days this Mahir Maheshwari will be your London guide madam" he said bowing head and I laughed.

"Thankyou so much "I grinned jumping on bed.

"Okay..I think we should sleep now..otherwise your di and jiju will come and scold us" he chuckled

"They won't.. but yeah it's too late. We should sleep.  " I replied 

"Yeah " he said

" Wait.. Mahir" I told

"Yeah.  What happened "he asked

" I had a question. Don't you have anything other than to wear then those tuxedos and blazers " I asked

" What.  This was your question.  Really "he asked

" I'm serious.  I mean you in hospital too in that... At home too.. And now here too and I guess tomorrow at shopping too" I said and he looked down.

"Emm..yeah..Actually.. You know now right that I've engrossed my self in business so much that I just did one thing in last some years..  18 hours business and 4 hours sleep and tracksuits for gym. If you want I can wear that "he said scratching his neck

" You seriously don't have a single casual" I asked frowning

"Emm.. Actually.. No" He said

"So it means I'm going to shopping with a business man" I gritted

"A sort of" he said

"Do one thing.. Just wear the shirt of your tuxedo and bottoms and then the first thing that we'll buy is.. Casuals for you,  Mr. Busy bee" I said

"What... What.. No.. No.. There's no need" He replied

"Then fine. I'll not go on site seeing with a business man and then I'll not go alone that means I'll not be visiting London. How sad Surbhi. But it's okay"  I sighed

"Fine.. Ms drama queen. Now don't make that puppy eyes. Do whatever you want. Buy Casuals for me. Okay.  Happy now " he said

" More than you can even think" I replied grinning

"Okay now good night. Will meet you tomorrow at 9 in morning ready" he said

"Okay.  Good night" I wished and smiled and in return got his sweet smile before he went.

I went to bed and smiled to myself.

How much I want you smile like this forever

I'm really loving him more and more everyday.
