Surbhi's POV

After talking to the little kid I went towards the hospital again when I saw Mahir's car. His driver was parking the car but Where was he?

"Hi uncle. Where's mah... I Mean Mr. Maheshwari " I asked him

"He's outside talking to a small kid. The same with whom you were talking a time before " he said smiling.

What is he doing there now.

"Okay thankyou uncle" I thanked him and went towards him.

I saw him talking to the boy. Who can imagine that he's even rude.. arrogant Mahir maheshwari.
I stood there only and saw them from distance. I don't know what he was talking but yeah today I saw a different side of him. He cares for everyone but he doesn't show it that easily. Soon I saw his bodyguard coming with some bags.

Wow!!

It was just that came out of my mouth. He himself made the kid wear shoes and gave him a school uniform and sent the boy with his bodyguard.
Where he was taking the kid.

I'll ask him later on when he'll tell me about this.

I went to hospital silently. Today somewhere his act touched me deep in heart.

He's really something.

I smiled and went to the hospital again. When I was coming from other side I saw him searching for something.

Is he searching for Any doctor?

"Surbhi" he called and a smile appeared on my face.

"Hey" I wished

"Hi" he wished me back.

"Dr. Bhatia will be here till evening. Till then I'll get discharge papers ready for tomorrow morning " I told

"Err.... yeah.. " he nodded

Soon I got busy with my work and I didn't see him again.

Today may be I'm meeting him for the last time personally and I think he'll even forget that he made a new friend. After all he's so busy man.

"So Surbhi. Am I ready to go home " His sister asked as I was checking on her.

I don't know where's he because right now he wasn't here.

"Yes di. Definitely" I said

"Di can I hold baby for the last time " I asked her a bit sad !!

She's really very cute!!

"Of course you can" she replied

Holding these small packets of happiness are heaven.

"Surbhi you know whenever you feel like to meet her or us you can always come home till I am here and after a month if you want to meet her then you have to come New York. My home" she said.

Oh. She lives in New York.

I smiled.

"Yeah. She's right. You are always welcomed" Came a familiar voice.

Mahir.

"Thankyou both of you" I thanked and before I would've got emotional I went outside.

"Surbhi listen" Mahir called

"yeah Mahir" I said

"It's 3 pm. If you don't mind let's have our lunch" He asked and I nodded.

Hence soon were in cafeteria.

"Dal rice" he asked & I smiled at this.

"Today order whatever you like" I replied

"Okay" He said and went away and after a while there were two plates of.... Dal and Rice.

I looked at him confusingly

"Dal and Rice. What I like. Now eat" he said

"Mahir. Priya is Your best friend right" I asked

"Yeah."He said.

Priya is my family relative.

So I know her personally. Priya was always in cooking. After her education she joined Maheshwari's Hotels as chef and soon as Head chef.

Her dad and Mahir's dad are best friends. So Priya knows Mahir since childhood.

I knew this Much from starting. But I didn't ever see her photos with Mahir. That's why I checked when Mahir told about his two best friends!

"But You didn't have any photos with Priya on social media" I asked

"Yeah because I told her not to post any of my photos with her but one minute How do you know this" he asked

"Because I know her" I said

"How" he asked

"Priya is my family relative" I told

"But she never told me about you" he said

"Have you ever seen me before with her" I asked

"No" he said

"So why will she bring up this topic" I answered

"Yeah right Ms.Intelligent " he replied

" One minute. Then you must be knowing about her marriage too" he asked a bit shocked.

"of course. 20th. She called me yesterday. she's hell excited" I told

"Yeah. One minute!! Did You tell her that you know me!! He asked a but suspicious.

"No. No. She would have killed me that why didn't I tell her earlier" I chuckled

"Same here. She would've killed me too saying that I didn't tell her about you and me being friends " he told

"why" I asked

"Emm.. actually... Nothing " he mumbled

"Fine. Don't speak " I frowned

"Areyy!!! Actually I never talk to people so greatly like you know and then making a friend and that too after years and on that a girl when all the people near you are just telling you to settle as you're 28 " he said

"Wa..wait... I didn't understand "I asked confusingly

"I don't have much friends or I must say 2... No actually two but 3 now other than that only business associates are there. I... I am not able to trust others and these girls out there, you know how they are like... Most of the times they cross their limits. Recently one made my day hell. That's why I hate them. I'm not that type of person. A billionaire who flirts, who goes on one night stands. And these girls always think as if I'm some rich brat who's a playboy. They come to me, talk to me just for two things. Money and looks. I am just fed up of all this." He said and I looked at him.

"And Girls always irritate me. Priya and Aanand know this. So Ms. Surbhi if they come to know that I am nicely talking to a person and that too a girl and I have a friend after years and they don't know about it, so you know how they'll react" he explained while I nodded.

"You know you really have a high thinking about girls.. Not everyone out is like this" I frowned

"Yeah I came to know that these days. But what can I do when I've met only these type of people" he shrugged

"So..You can't judge everyone on this. You're judging me too in this all" I replied

"I'm not judging anyone. I'm just saying these girls are exactly how I said " he again told

"See, see there again and you say you don't judge them" I frowned

"Surbhi.. you've not met them. I meet these type of girls in every damn meeting. I know how I handle them and how disgusting they are" he said making face

"Mahir.You met me too. Do you feel the same." I asked

"What. Not at all Surbhi. If it was so then you would've not been my friend. And you were the one who fought with me and didn't care about who I am." he said.

I smiled inwardly.

"So.. there are many people out there like me.So how can you judge anyone on the first day" I asked

He was about to say something but stoppee and looked at me.

"Surbhi. I am sorry. I can't argue with you. It feels like You should've been a politician not a doctor. Because no one can argue with you on any topic. You have answers for each question. So please drop this topic here only and don't say Priya anything about this" he said joining his hands dramatically while I laughed.

"Yes. No one can win in arguing with me" I replied

We completed our lunch.

I thought he'll tell me about that boy Jay whom he helped. But he didn't. I'll ask him later. I've to go and check my regular patients.

"Okay.See you afterwards." I said

"For tea at 5" he asked

"Who can say no to tea" I grinned

"Okay then see you. Bye" he replied

I turned and was about to go when my feet trembled and I was about to fall on the ground.

But before that Mahir held my hand and pulled me towards him.

My heartbeat increased more than normal. I don't know it was due to the fear of falling or the distance between us which was less than an inch.

He held me protectively in his arms and when my senses knocked in me and I pulled myself back.

I averted my gaze from him and saying bye I went away.

Can it be more embarrassing!!!
