4. The Mistake

Agasthya was waiting for Aaryan to come from his room.

After that night he never had a conversation with either Anirudh or Aaryan. But today he decided to speak about it with his elder brother.

Because he was scared... Scared to the bone...

After that first one Agasthya received four messages... But all of them were from different numbers, and at different time also...

But the content in it was connected.

Agasthya was deeply immersed in his own thoughts so that he didn't notice Aaryan standing in front of him.

"Hello... Do you need anything?"

Agasthya stood up with a jerk.

"Actually... I want to talk to you..."

"What?"

Aaryan raised his eyebrows. He was little busy that time and he never wished to speak with Agasthya. So he decided to walk away. But Agasthya hold his hands.

"Please... I need your help..."

Aaryan took a deep breath to control his rage. Then removed Agasthya's hands forcefully.

"Don't touch me."

"I am really sorry... But please... Don't avoid me this time."

Agasthya pleaded.

"Well. What is the matter?"

Agasthya narrated all to Aaryan with a shaking voice.

"So... You are very afraid because of those messages..."

"Yes... I am..."

Aaryan shook his head and moved more close to Agasthya.

Aaryan's glare was like a sharp sword so that Agasthya stepped back suddenly.

"Don't try to trap me with your drama."

Whispered Aaryan.

"No... It is not like that... Please believe..."

Agasthya tried to explain himself but he was cut by Aaryan.

"I don't need any explanation. Just get out."

Agasthya sat on the balcony of his room.
He switched off his phone to avoid more problems. He tried his best not to think about it, but he failed. His mind was always insecure and this was enough for him to get worried.

"Why I am being this much restless... That may be a jung message..."

His first decision was to talk about the message with Anirudh, but due to lack of courage he chose Aaryan. Because he felt more comfortable with him than with his eldest brother, but now he realized that they don't have that much difference. They both hate him... Hate him with a passion.

Agasthya didn't shed any tears... Hatred was the feeling to which he is familiar the most.

He saw it... Sometimes in his Papa's eyes too...Especially when he ask him about his mother and family... Even though his Papa tried to mask Agasthya sensed it...

The horn of Anirudh's car made him come out of his thoughts...

"I won't share anything with Ani bhaiya... I won't..."

******************

"How was your day?"

Asked Aaryan while opening the door for Anirudh.

"Good... As always..."

"I hope the famous engineer Mr.Anirudh Thakur is not busy today "

Anirudh glared his brother who was smiling at him with a weird expression on his face.

"Ani... Usually people do their job to support their life... But in your case it seems like you live your life only for your job..."

"My dear Aary... I am sorry but I am not clever enough to understand your words sometimes..."

Anirudh replied dramatically.

"Today is the first Saturday of this month. So we have to go somewhere."

"Oh my goodness..." Anirudh placed his hand on his head. "I hope I am not late... I really forgot it..."

"Well. Go and get ready as soon as possible."

In every first Saturdays the brothers spent their time with the children of an orphanage and with the people of an old age home. They spent a part of their earning for them. It was their mother's wish so they accepted it with delight.

"Ok let's go..." Aaryan said taking the car key.

At that moment Anirudh remembered about Agasthya.

"Aaryan wait... Where is Agasthya?"

Anirudh called his name loudly while Aaryan turned his head in opposite direction. He was still angry.

Agasthya came and stood at the stairs.

"We are going out. Will be back before 8.pm. Are you ok to stay alone?"

Aaryan laughed.

"Ani... It is better to take him with us... Otherwise he will be afraid... Don't give him a chance to present his drama again..."

"I am not scared and I am not ready to come with you "

Because of his grief and anger Agasthya almost shouted.

"Agasthya Thakur, do not shout."

Anirudh, who was totally unaware about the earlier conversation between the other two, glared Agasthya. It was the first time he saw him being angry.

Aaryan began to say something but Anirudh pulled him out and closed the door with a bang and locked it.

"How dare he... How dare he to shout at my brother..."

Whispered Anirudh. His eyes were red in anger.

Agasthya collapsed on the floor with a sob. He never wished to react like that. But by his action he multipled the distance between himself and his brothers a thousand times.

********************

Anirudh smiled at his brother who was playing with the kids and singing rhymes for them. It was the only time when Aaryan become completely free from their hunting past. Being the younger one he was totally his mother's child. So her death affected Aaryan very much. After that he became more introvert in nature. So Anirudh was ready to do anything to make him happy.

"Come... Let's go..." Aaryan pulled him towards the car with a joyful grin.

"It is very nice to spend time with the children...Their mischief and even mistakes have it's own beauty. " said Aaryan to Anirudh and the latter nodded his head while driving the car.

Aaryan looked at his brother. From his silence Aaryan understood about whom he was thinking. He also was thinking about the same person.

'I was a little rude, I guess...' He thought in his mind.

Even though Aaryan had some temper issues he was never a bad person.

'I should talk about this to Ani after reaching the house.'

******************

"Ani... Didn't you close the door properly before leaving?"

Asked Aaryan who was trying to open the door.

They forgot to switch on the light before leaving so that the entrance of their house was completely filled with darkness.

"Yes I did..."

"The key is not fitting in the hole... "

"Let me check..." Said Anirudh and turned on the flash light of his mobile to examine it.

"It is damaged... That's why the lock is not working..."

Said Anirudh while Aaryan gasped.

Due to lack of light Anirudh couldn't see his brother's face clearly. But he felt him being nervous.

"Aaryan, what happened?"

Aaryan said something and pushed the door with full of his strength and rushed into the house.

Anirudh couldn't hear him completely. The only thing he heard was,

"I am sorry... The mistake is mine..."

••••••••••••••••••••••

Sometimes, silence is the biggest mistake...
