Untitled Part 30

The sleeping arrangements were as the following, Jo and I shared the bed in the bedroom and the boys slept up front in the living room. During the night I kept getting flashes of a face, one that was old and slightly falling apart. The man's face was angry, and his eyes were a sinister blue. Every once in a while I would see different faces, ones I knew others I didn't and every so often a voice I sorely missed would say, Ariel please be careful. You have to stay safe on your journey. I can't help you on this case, so please be very careful and keep your Iron on you at all times.

By the time I woke up I was drenched in sweat, and almost gasping for air. I quickly looked around the room, and noticed the sun starting to rise outside our window. I got out of bed knowing that would need a shower to cool down. I get into the shower quickly washing off the sweat and dreams off of me. During the shower I could every so often feel a pair of eyes on me, causing me to stop and look around. Then I would feel a calming presence and go back to my shower.

I get out of the shower and wrap a towel around my body and go over to the foggy mirror. I could feel the calming presence behind me again, and a hand on my shoulder. I grab the hand and quickly turn around ready to attack, but I stop just as I turn upon seeing the deep blue eyes that I had sorely missed from our last encounter.

"Castiel," my voice barely over a whisper. He simply nods his head. Releasing his grasp on my shoulder as I let go of his hand.

"Ariel, things are about to get really dangerous for you and Sam, things that have been set into motion long before your births. I need you to be very careful, and when in doubt know that there is someone there for you, it might not always be your brothers, but there is someone there. This is all the time I have, I have to get back. I will see you again Ariel, hopefully before the end begins," Castiel tells me before I hear a fluttering noise and he's gone.

'Well there goes me getting back to sleep,'

'wanna go grab some coffee,' I hear back in my mind.

'Dear god, yes, Smart idea Sam. Let me getting dressed meet you out in the living room'

'deal'

After getting dressed I walk out of the room, Jo was just starting to wake up when I snuck out of the room. Sam and I let Dean know that were going out for coffee. Though we didn't get far before seeing the police cars and police coming in and out of an apartment looking for the tenant. Sam and I both look at each other then begin running back into our rental home. Sam having longer legs beat me to our home and busted through the door.

"Where's the coffee," I hear Dean question, "Better yet where is Ariel"

"There are cops outside. Another girl disappeared. Ariel was just right beh-,"

"I'm here," I tell them making it into the room slightly out of breath.

We then went over to the table and started looking more urgently then ever over the notes we had already gathered, while Dean did more recon about the now missing woman.

About an hour later Dean returns, and shuts the door.

"Teresa Ellis, Apartment 2F. Boyfriend reported her missing around dawn," Dean tells us.

"And her apartment? Ectoplasm, and cracks," I ask.

"Cracks all over the plaster, walls, ceiling. There a lot ectoplasm, too," he tells us.

"Well, between that and that tuft of hair I'd say this sucker's coming from the walls," Sam best explains how the ghost is getting around.

"But who is it? Building's history is totally clean," Dean questions.

"Maybe the ground isn't though," I say thinking about the sinister face from last night. I look over the pictures and grab a photo of the place that stood here before it was an building.

"Like someone was slaughtered in this field," Dean questions.

"Well sorta," I explain. Jo takes the picture out of my hand looking more deeper into it.

"I think Ari, is on to something. Check this out," she says pointing to the building next to the lot.

"It's where this building was built. Take a look at the one next door. The windows," she further explains.

"Bars," Sam states.

"We're next door to a prison," Dean scoffs.

"Now, its my turn. Sam computer please. Jo let me show you how to work some magic," I say clearing some space, and reaching out for Sam's laptop.

I begin looking into the history of the town. Looking more in depth with their prisons. Until one catches my complete interest.

"The Moyamensing prison. Built in 1835, torn down in 1963. And get this. They used to execute people by hanging them in the empty field next door," I tell them looking over my shoulder giving them the information needed to make this case.

"Well, then, we need a list. All the people executed there," Sam tells me. I look at my brother with a look that basically screams annoyance.

"You already have it don't you," He questions.

"Yep, and it's a long one," Jo tells Sam.

"A hundred fifty seven names," Sam exclaims.

"We've gotta narrow that down," Dean with annoyance, "Or else we're gonna be digging up a hell of a lot of stiffs".

"I have a list one who I think we are looking for it's a lot smaller," I tell them.

"How much smaller," Sam questions.

"This much," I tell him showing him the name HERMAN WEBSTER MUDGETT.

"Herman Webster Mudgett," Sam questions.

"That H. H. Holmes' real name," I explain, "Holmes was executed at Moyamensing, May 7, 1896".

"H. H. Holmes himself. Come on, I mean, what are the odds," Sam askes with disbelief.

"Who is this guy," Jo questions.

I cleared my voice, like a happy person about to tell a big juicy story.

"He was America's first serial killer, before anybody knew what a serial killer was. He actually confessed to twenty seven murders, but some put the death toll at over a hundred. He had a home that was built by several different contractors and fired them as he pleased so no one could know the actual architect of the home. Well other then him. It basically became his murder house. He kept adding new rooms and closing off others. Eventually the house burnt down and any actual evidence of how many people he actually killed gone with it," I explain the history of the man.

"Thank you for that wonderful lesson in creepy history, but you forgot one thing," Dean tells me. I simply shrug because I couldn't really care about what small piece I had forgotten.

"His victim flavor of choice? Pretty petite blondes. He, uh, he used chloroform to kill 'em," Dean starts to explain, "Which is what I smelled in the hallway last night. At his place, cops found human remains, bone fragments, and long locks of bloody blonde hair. Boy, you sure know how to pick 'em".

He turns to Jo looking her over.

"Well, we just find the bones, salt 'em and burn 'em, right," she askes quite scared.

"Well, it's not that easy. His body is buried in town, but it's encased in a couple tons of concrete," Sam explains not easing her fears.

"What? Why," she questions.

"The story goes that he didn't want anybody mutilating his corpse. 'Cause, that is what he used to do," I tell her.

"You know somethin'. We might have an even bigger problem than that," Sam tells us.

"How does this get bigger," Jo asks more concerned this time.

"Like Ariel said Holmes built an apartment building in Chicago. He called it the Murder Castle. The whole place was a death factory, they had, uh, trap doors, acid vats, quick line pits... he built these secret chambers inside the walls. He'd lock his victims in, keep them alive for days. Some he'd suffocate, others he'd let starve to death," he better explained.

"So Teresa could still be alive. She could be inside these walls," Jo asks more concerned about the woman.

"We need sledgehammers, crowbars. We've got to smash these walls, anywhere thick enough to hide a girl," Dean states.

"Or she's not in the building at all and he smuggled her out some how," I rebut.

Dean's idea won, SURPRISE!!! Which lead Jo, Dean, and I squeezing through crawl-spaces inside the building walls. Jo is on the phone.

"Okay. Call us after you check the southeast wall," she says hanging up, "Sam's almost done with the first floor. Hasn't found jack squat, either," she explains. I feel Dean stop in front of me.

"What is it," I ask stopping as well.

"It's too narrow. Can't go any further," he explains.

"Let me see," I tell him squeezing past him. Jo soon follows. I hear my brother mumble under his breathe.

"What," Jo questions after she reaches my side.

"I, uh, I wish the pipes were cleaner," he tells her.

"Shut up. Ariel and I can fit in there," she tells him.

"You two are not going in there by yourselves," he tells us like he can make demands.

"You got a better idea," Jo questions back. I smirk over at her before crawling in further.

"You-," but I can no longer hear him but I do feel Jo grab on to my hand. Before her phone starts to ring.

"On the north wall, with Ariel," she explains as we see an air duct and begin climbing down it.

"We're heading down some kind of air duct," she tells him.

"Look, we've gotta find this girl, don't we? We are okay," she explains. I soooooo know I'm getting yelled at later.

I look back at her before noticing her face drops to one of fear.

"Oh god," she states before I look over and notice the face that I had seem only earlier that morning. Jo and I scream, hoping some how Dean can find us and get to us. Then the entire area around us goes black.
