Something Very Funny

We seem to have had a couple of very busy weeks. Doctor and Hospital Appointments to keep and workers in our flat doing small jobs. I think it affected my husband somewhat.

I often get up in the night to visit the toilet and try not to look at the time as it can be very depressing! Sometimes I can't get back to sleep and lose a couple of hours, or more.

One night I got back into bed and noticed it was 3.30 am. Very shortly afterwards my husband got out of bed and it was by then 4.10 am. I asked him if he was going to the toilet and he said yes, I did not hear him say anything else as I was half asleep.

He put the light on in the bathroom and he was a long time, so I got up and went to see if he was alright, as he has fallen over a few times and hurt himself. He has walking difficulties. When I reached the bathroom he was washing his hair! I asked him what he was doing, (obviously I could tell) and he said "It's ten past seven, so I'm getting up!" I laughed and laughed when I told him it was not time to get up yet it was only ten past four. He had to come back to bed with wet hair!

It doesn't help when we have a stupid clock which glows with a horrible green light, has a black face and it seems to have more hands than normal. It is hard for me to see it as it is my husband's side of the bed and I wear glasses! But no excuse for him as it's right beside him.

This is what happens when you get old, Heaven Help Us All!

But sometimes it's good to have something to laugh about, whatever age you are.
