Ch 2: The Lyjas Era
*This is ancient chinese era, Where Lyjas existed. It is presently ruled by The Son of Heaven, Emperor Fu Xian. The latter had 2 sons, Elder Son Crown Prince Chang Lin and younger son
Prince Ryu Shim.
Crown Prince Chang Lin was adored and respected by everyone, meanwhile Prince Ryu Shim had the opposite reputation.
Ryu Shim. Chang Lin
He was disliked by everyone becuz he was born out of wedlock. Yes! The Emperor had one wife only but he had made up his mind to have another. The Emperor didn't dislike his 1st wife, Jiuling. He adored her as well But the marriage with his 1st wife was forceful to expand his reign. It was 1 year after his marriage that Prince Chang Lin was born. After 2 years, he fell in love with a simple maiden, Minxing. He made up his mind to marry but not without the consent of his beloved 1st wife. Queen Consort Jiuling was a good person, infact she was very different from previous nagging and haughty Queen Consorts of the dynasty. She liked Minxing as the latter was her favourite companion and readily gave consent for she couldn't wait to have a sister. But fate had other plans, Minxing was pregnant before marriage and had many complications. She died while giving birth to Prince
Ryu Shim. Queen Consort Jiuling tried her best to be a good mother to the younger son who was devoid of the affection by his biological mother and isolated himself from public eye plus also from family members because of the illusion that everyone hated him. While it's true that most of relatives in royal family had negative sensations harbored with Crown Prince never considering the latter as his blood but The Queen Consort and the Emperor had immense love and care for Ryu Shim and there were simple reasons. For Queen Consort, he was the son of her beloved companion and for the Emperor, the latter was a reminisce of his lover. But In upcoming years, the isolation grew, Ryu Shim never smiled and was a cold person. He wore a half face mask during wars. He had bravery and immense strength which wove beautiful and inspiring stories but along with it, he had the power of the nature.
"氣/CH'I/ QI according to Chinese philosophy is a vital force of a living being. One who has strong chi has power to control the nature. Yet this QI is sometimes called magic by western world. According to it's philosophy, Ch'i/Qi grows stronger if someone's mind is pure and full of positive energy. Positive Ch'i can result in beautiful miracles. Elsewhere, someone with the opposite energy could bring destruction"
Ryu Shim had a strong 氣/Ch'i.
He felt the movement of air, fire, water and earth in every inch of his body just like Crown Prince Chang Lin but his "Ch'i/Qi" was not able to cultivate its full potential because of his isolated thoughts. Hence, sometimes, his strength had violent repercussions. He came to be known as "永遠吃不飽的貓"
English translation: The cat who is never full.
Reason: A cat who is not hungry toys with his prey till the end and when he has urge of hunger, he brutally kills it.
Although, Prince Ryu Shim was never cruel, he was given this name due to the "Battle of LuoPin" where he brutally killed his Enemies BUT there was a reason unknown to every soul except two.
Prince Ryu Shim had a childhood friend who was held hostage and later brutally killed. The fact That his only friend was no more, made him more eager to torture and kill his Enemies. His heart broke after his friend died hence, he decided to remain in complete isolation forever.
But Of course, nothing is "forever" cuz deities grow displeased of a continuous gloom and envious of a continuous contempt.
In the next moment, we see a girl, Lu xia waking up and guess who she resembles!!???
"MARILYN!!!"
BUT Luxia had no recollection of her memories as Marilyn. For she perceived her identity as the daughter of the village head, Luo Kun. Yet there was something special about her.
Even though, she was a girl, but she has strong 氣/Ch'i.
She always trained hard like men. She cultivated her life force with the help of martial arts. One of the main reasons, why her 氣/Ch'i was so strong is that she could never harbour negative energy plus when She practiced martial arts, she got a chance to exert her life force which formed a strong 氣/Ch'i
No one knew about her Ch'i other than her parents. They were dreaded by the people's fear of the unknown and common greed that could take advantage of their daughter's rare gift.
One day, Luo Kun had to travel to the capital of the Chinese Empire, Beijing so as to trade off magnificent craft items since an appalling famine took over most men of the village, driven weak due to starvation. Luo Kun wanted to sell the produce and buy bulks of food to replenish the hunger of his folk. For this, Lu xia requested her father to take her. Luo Kun didn't agree at first but realising that he would need a hand, he allowed Lu xia to accompany him. *
*Lu Xia POV: Yessss!!! Finally father agreed. I will be able break free of the confinement of this village and venture into the vast stretches of unknown land with beautiful stories and adventure. I always wanted to explore but father is skeptical of my abilities and strength. This is a good opportunity to learn a lot of new things and prove the quality of my abilities to my father in the Capital.*
*Luo Kun POV: Oh Lord! Please watch over my fairy. I know She's strong but the world has greater evils. Evils of the mind which can hurt my little Lu Xia. She's not yet mature enough to understand how the world's greed consumes any good energy which can give one the way of assuming immense power.
*Both of them travel for 4 days and finally reach the capital Beijing. Luo Kun sets up his market and Lu Xia aides him. It results in promising sales, good enough to help the village with the famine. After selling half of the produce, father-daughter decides to call it a day and continue tomorrow*
Lu xia: Father Please! Please, Let me have a tour of the capital.
Luo Kun: But I am tired dear.
Lu Xia: Then let me go around. I promise to come back before it's dark.
Luo Kun: Little Fairy, what if you get in trouble?
Lu Xia become stubborn: Father please, you know I have a rare gift, it will protect me. I promise not to cause any trouble. Please let me go!
Luo kun: Okay, Okay! But you will return by the time the sun paints the sky with hues of red and orange, right?
Lu Xia: Yess I promise.
*Lu Xia POV: fantastic! Now I will get a chance to know the outside world and people!!*
*Lu Xia Roams a lot, she gets bored and decides to climb and swing through the branches of the trees. She swings so hard that it won't be wrong if we say that she was flying~ But Oops! She Swings so hard that she ends up falling inside the walls of the royal palace and onto a man. Lu Xia Begins to apologize without taking a look at the man
Lu Xia POV: Oh Shoot! Where did I end up? The people in the royal Palace will kill me if they get to know that I don't belong here. I need to apologize to this man.*
Lu Xia Gets up and Apologizes while bowing: I am so sorry! Please have mercy! I am not an enemy. Please Forgive me!!
*Lu Xia notices that the man doesn't replies and she finally looks upto to see "Prince Ryu Shim" but she doesn't recognizes the status of the person standing infront of her*
**Lu Xia POV: Is this for real? He's so majestic like a dragon.
Ryu Shim POV: Did I just now see this girl swinging and flying? How is it possible? Is she really a girl or a monkey? Does she perhaps-
Does she have 氣/Ch'i?
But how is this possible? I have never seen a girl with a strong life force. How come this girl has it? From the looks of it, she is like a villager.
Lu Xia POV: Is he deaf? Can't he hear me apologizing? Why is he staring at me with such an emotionless face? Am I going to be in trouble? I should get out right now!!!**
*Lu Xia tries to escape but realising her intentions, Ryu Shim grabs her wrist tightly*
Lu Xia: Ahhh!! It hurts, you idiot! Let me go! I ain't any spy!!
Ryu Shim: Do you recognise who you are calling an idiot?
Lu Xia: Am I a fortune teller that I am supposed to know your background history? Now let me go!
*Lu Xia Struggles a lot. Ryu Shim suddenly lets go of her hand and she falls.*
Lu Xia grumbles: Urhhhh!!! How rude?
*Ryu Shim POV: This girl is so dumb and frank. If she doesn't learns to control her mouth, she will surely get in trouble one day. Also, she has no sense of etiquette. Uh uhn! Doesn't seems like a spy*
Ryu Shim: Bold of you to call me rude when you are the one to barge inside my palace.
Lu Xia: you- your palace- you ar-
Ryu Shim: I am Prince Ryu Shim.
*Lu Xia POV: Oh no! He's a Prince! No wonder, He's so majestic. But what am I even thinking? He's a Prince and I just called him Rude and Idiot? Today is my worst day! I am surely gonna get in trouble now. Father always told me not to blabber. I regret not listening to him. What will I do now? He must be waiting for me and here I am! Barging right inside the Royal Palace.*
Lu Xia in an apologetic tone: I- I am- I-
Ryu Shim in a stern tone: Enough! Now if you don't want to suffer, get out of my palace.
*Lu Xia POV: As if I am very interested in staying here. But wait? He isn't gonna punish me? I spoke rudely to him*
Lu Xia: you won't kill me?
Ryu Shim: Why? Do you want me to do so?
Lu Xia: No I mean... you don't suspect me? I might be a spy or an enemy and you are just letting me go?
Ryu Shim smirking: I am sure no one will make a stupid girl a spy unless they want their mission to fail miserably
Lu Xia in a angry pout: Did you just now call me stupid?
*Ryu Shim stares at her,
Lu Xia realises her actions*
Lu Xia: I am sorry! I just got overboard. I promise to never behave like this. But could you show me the entrance? Please?
*Ryu Shim POV: What a weird girl? She doesn't knows about the entrance of the palace?*
Ryu Shim: Are you new here? Is it your 1st time in the Capital?
Lu Xia: Yes, your majesty!
Ryu Shim: Where were you living till now? In a Cave or under a rock?
Lu Xia POV: The audacity!
Lu Xia: I was living in my village. Our village is struggling with famine. So My father came here to sell the village produce and get food.
Ryu Shim: your father?
Lu Xia: My father is the village head.
Ryu Shim: Your father is a village head? But he never brought you along for trading in this place?
Lu Xia: No. He consistently become anxious and fearful whenever I approached the subject of venturing beyond the village.
*Ryu Shim POV: Strange? It's puzzling that despite the widespread desire among girls to stay or visit the capital instead of marrying and settling in the village, with even parents and numerous other village chiefs encouraging it, her father would become apprehensive whenever she approached the topic of coming here? Its not adding up. There must be a good reason*
Ryu Shim: Where does your father stay here?
Lu Xia: In a tent. In the area of NonLang.
Ryu Shim: Fine! I will show you the entrance outside. Follow me and don't think of going elsewhere.
Lu Xia: Okay
*Ryu Shim and Lu Xia walk towards the Palace entrance but the Prince spots guards*
Ryu Shim POV: If they see a stranger here, they will take her away and throw her in dungeon even if I reason with them. Plus they might even suspect me. After all, I am the half blooded son.
*A guard starts turning to the direction of the Prince and Lu Xia. The Prince Panics. What will he do? Wait for the next part to find out what the Prince does. Is he able to rescue Lu Xia and safety take her outside the Palace?*
Preview: Lu Xia Encounters the Crown Prince in disguise. What will happen when they meet each other. Will Lu Xia get in trouble or will she get a companion playing a significant role in her upcoming venture?
Prince Ryu Shim also speculates about Lu Xia and decides to go to the NonLang Market
