I looked down at my stomach to see a little baby bump. Today Laurance and I have an appointment for an ultrasound. I'm excited, but yet, I'm terrified.

Mornings have been just fun, and I think Alex is getting frustrated with that. But that's just a part of pregnancy. If she ever has a baby of her own, she'll have to deal with morning sickness.

You would think my boyfriend would be helping me out with morning sickness. No, my boyfriend doesn't even live with me yet. My best friend has been helping me. Notice how I said she's probably getting frustrated with it. That's the reason why. Though, he does try to help whenever he can. And if he is with me in the morning, he helps me out.

Laurance places his hand on my shoulder and smiles at me. "You ready?"

I nod my head, and we get into to his car to leave. He opens my door and I get inside of it. Once he shuts the door, he walks over to his side and gets inside.

Before he even turns the car on, he leans over and pecks my lips gently. I giggle quietly at his actions.

"Looks like somebody's extra happy today."

He smiles once more. "Today is the day I get to finally see my baby. Why wouldn't I be happy?"

"You get to see them on a screen. The baby is still inside me Laurance."

"I know."

The car ride is probably a total of thirty minutes. I don't know why it takes so long, but it does. At least, it feels as though it takes that long. It's nothing to stress over. And while we drive, the radio is blaring out music. I sing along to every single word I know to each song.

I remember a few days ago, Photograph came on the radio, and Alex turned it on full blast and running around the house bellowing out the lyrics. That's dedication.

Soon we arrive, and w walk inside the building hand in hand. Laurance swings our hands back and fourth. While Laurance checks us in, I sit down in one of the uncomfortable doctor chairs.

I places my hands on my stomach and looked down at it. I'm going to have a baby. . .

I hear the chair next to me shuffle and know that it's Laurance. I look up and smile at him, and he places his hand on top of mine.

"You'll be an amazing mother, Y/N."

Right before I could say anything, the nurse comes and pages us that the doctor is ready to see me.

She does what she needs to, and I lay down on the table thing as she applies this really cold gel like substance on my stomach.

Laurance sit patiently in the chair next to me.

She has this remote like object that she runs over my stomach and shows up on the TV.

She then stops for a moment and looks up at the screen. "You hear that?" I listen a little closer and hear what sounds like a heartbeat dancing through my ears. Laurance squeezes my hand, and I nod my head vigorously as I grin widely. "That's the baby's heartbeat. It seems very strong. You have a very healthy baby." She stops talking after that and looks a little closer at the screen. I begin to get a little worried. Is everything alright? I can still hear the heartbeat. Please tell me my baby is okay! "Wait a minute, it appears to be two heartbeats."

I furrow my eyebrows.

What?

Laurance speaks up, "What do you mean?"

She turn to us and smiles. "I mean, you don't have one baby. You have two different heart beats!"

My eyes widened. "We have. . . twins?" She nods her head. "That's amazing!"

I turn to Laurance to smile at him, but I can see the sparkle in his eyes. He's just as happy.

After a few more minutes, she starts to wipe the goop off of my stomach and tell us that the babies are both doing well once more. That's when she decided to ask us a question. "Would you like to know the genders of your babies?"

Laurance and I look at each other, and I knew the answer. I turned back to the lady. I learned that this lady was named Dr. Morgan. "Yes please."

"The genders to your babies are a girl and a boy. I congratulate you both, and I wish you the best of luck for your future family."

Another appointment is set, and we all say our farewells.

I walk into the house to see Alex sitting on the couch, her back to the couch's arm. Her body was facing us, and the moment she hears the door open, her head snaps to our attention.

"So, how'd it go?" She asked.

Laurance is behind me, but I wanted to quickly say it before he cuts me off.

"Well, we heard the heartbeat-"

"WE'RE HAVING TWINS!"

Laurance's outburst sends Alex flying off the couch and me to take a few steps forward.

Her head pops back up over the couch. "Really? Congratulations! I really am going to be an aunt. To two!"

I nod my head happily and turn to Laurance. "Let's go tell the others!"
