Back at it again with chapter three. This chapter will involve something other than Sonic X and may be the only time it does. But it will be fun for this chapter. So, let's get right into it.

Azura found himself wandering within his mind. However, he was smiling about something as he couldn't put a finger to the reason.

"Why do I feel so happy..." Azura asks through his mind. All of a sudden, a gentle light appears showing a child that resembled him laughing and playing with other children. Azura stops moving as he had a look of bewilderment on his face as his body tenses with a tear falling down his face.

In reality, Azura sat up quickly panting as he looks around. The room he was in was dark except for Azura's glowing magenta eyes that were surveying the room. He noticed a closet door directly across from him, a stand with a TV stood diagonally from him; He looked over his right shoulder noticing the door was cracked open letting some light into the dark room. Azura's eyes then focused enough as he noticed his clothes neatly folded in front of the TV on the stand. A light blush appears on the azure hedgehog's face as he took the covers off. He was wearing a huge white T-shirt that when he stood up went all the way to his knees. He smiles that his gloves and socks were untouched as he walks over putting his shoes on. He looks up noticing a note laying on his jacket. Thinking, Azura picks up the note and reads it.

"Dear Mysterious Hedgehog, we didn't know when you would wake up," Azura read, "If you do, then come to the kitchen so we can talk, your pal, Knuckles. How in the heck do I find the kitchen?!"

Azura then sees a P.S. reading it as it was directions to the kitchen. Blinking, Azura chuckles a bit walking towards the door. Opening it up, Azura instantly covered his eyes not used to entering a bright area so quickly. He began walking to his left after standing for a few minutes following Knuckles's directions.

"Nice place," Azura said to himself in awe. Azura noticed the different paintings as well as some pictures that looked like family portraits. One particular picture caught Azura's eye as he stopped staring at it. It was a picture of three people: the parents and a child. However, Azura focused on the child as he frowns.

"I feel like I know him... But where?" Azura said shaking his head feeling a burn sensation in his head but felt no fever. He sighs then continued towards the kitchen. A few steps later Azura hears yelling and noises coming from a room on his left. Slowly, Azura crept to the door and listened in.

"Come on Amy! This has to be perfect!" Azura hears Knuckles's voice sound. A girl's voice sounded.

"I'm sorry Knuckles, but we haven't met this Azura person so we don't know what he likes, right Ella?" The girl's voice said as another sounded.

"That's right, we don't even know if he's apart of the evil side," the other girl's voice said. Azura grew irritated as he stepped into the room.

"Well, I can assure you," Azura said causing Knuckles and the two girls to jump in fear, "I'm not!"

"Azura! You're awake!" Knuckles said running to a door pushing it open, "He's awake guys!"

Knuckles ran back in as a gang soon followed. Azura recognized Sonic, Shadow, and Silver but with the others not so much. Sonic smiles slightly giving Azura a thumbs up.

"Alright introductions," Sonic said as he quickly told Azura everyone's names. He then looks at the two humans in the room.

"This is Ella, the maid of this house," Sonic said walking over to a male twelve-year-old smiling, "and this is Chris Thorndyke."

"Hello Azura," The pair said as Azura bows smiling.

"Hello, thanks for allowing me to stay in the room," Azura said as everyone had huge smiles on their faces. Two more people showed up as they looked at Azura. One was a yellow and white fox with gloves and shoes in but had two twin tails. The other was an elder gentleman who was wearing a scientist outfit.

"Well I'll be... You finally woke up," the fox said.

"You must be Tails and the other Chuck Thorndyke?" Azura said before Sonic could introduce them impressing everyone.

"You are indeed correct," Chuck said with a smile. Tails nodded staring at Azura closely.

"Knuckles tells us you can use Sonic's speed, Silver's psychic powers, and Shadow's chaos abilities," Tails said. Azura looks down slightly as he looks at his hands.

"I... Don't know..." Azura answers, "I was always gifted with these talents. I never knew anyone that also could use what I have. All I know is that I'm fast, very intelligent, and very strong."

Tails frowns slightly as Knuckles snickers slightly.

"What's so funny, knucklehead?" Sonic asks.

"Actually, when I saw Azura run on angel island, I swore he was slightly faster than you," Knuckles said causing Sonic to laugh hysterically.

"Him? Faster than the fastest thing alive?!" Sonic exclaims causing the others to snicker at Knuckles. Azura, on the other hand, frowned slightly remembering something.

"Actually, Knuckles isn't lying," Azura said causing everyone to stop laughing looking at Azura in disbelief.

"There's no way you're faster than me unless you're using the Chaos Emeralds," Sonic said poking Azura in the chest having a look of overconfidence in his eyes. Azura's eyes flashed the emerald green color as his body trembled.

"Chaos... Emeralds...?" Azura pants out as his hands grabbed his head. Sonic thought nothing as he nodded; however, everyone backed everyone trembling slightly.

"What's u-" Sonic asked as he opens his eyes noticing the golden light outlining as he backs up, "N-no way..."

"M-my head f-feels like it's going to explode," Azura said gritting his teeth in pain. But, when Sonic mentioned the Chaos Emeralds, Azura remembered something from his past.

-Flashback-

"Run Azura!!!" A male voice yells.

Images of a young hedgehog running towards a building where a massive glowing emerald was being kept at flashed through Azura's mind as he was surrounded by other people. The hedgehog is shown backing up to the emerald where his hand barely touches it. The emerald instantly glows releasing an energy blast consuming everything except the hedgehog as he was knocked unconscious.

-Flashback Ends-

Azura pants slightly as he was on the floor with everyone hovering over him.

"Are you alright?" Knuckles asks as Azura nods slowly getting up as Amy and Ella helped him.

"Thanks," Azura said as the two girls nodded.

"What happened?" Sonic asks worriedly.

"...I may have had a memory jog," Azura said then told everyone what he saw. Knuckles's eyes widen slightly when he hears about the massive emerald.

"That's the Master Emerald!" Knuckles said as Azura frowned.

"Are you sure?" Azura asks as Knuckles nods leaning forward holding his fist up in confidence.

"There's no mistaken it," Knuckles said.

"Well, if that's true then why didn't I remember it when you mentioned it?" Azura asks holding his head. Tails then snapped his fingers.

"I think it's because sonic mentioned the Chaos Emeralds," Tails said, "if you don't mind, Azura, I, along with Chuck, would like to run some diagnostics and tests on you."

"Whatever you need as long as it helps me out," Azura said nodding with a smile. Suddenly, Cream busts through the door panting and holding a letter.

"Looks like Sonic's been challenged to an extreme gear race," Cream said as Azura raises an eyebrow never in his life hearing that before.

"We'll explain in a bit," Tails said as Sonic reads the letter chuckling.

"Looks like Jet wants another round," Sonic said as everyone sighs, "it will be fun."

Everyone nods smiling as Sonic reads the location.

"Tails get my extreme gear ready," Sonic said as Tails nods, "Looks like it will be a race."

So, I'm separating this elaborate part into two chapters. Next part will be the race as Azura learns what extreme gears and racing are. So, hopefully you enjoy this chapter and the next. And I will write soon. Peace out!
