Xiomara lay on her back, her arm covering her eyes and a slight smile on her face as she held her mobile phone to her ear.
She looked over to the older woman resting at her bed side...
"She's right here"
Was all she said before the room fell near quiet for a long while...
"See you soon, love you" she finished.

"So, no hospital?" the older woman asked.

"Not until I get home" Xiomara started as she awkwardly rose on her elbows "why pay when I can get it sorted for free"

The older woman looked to Xiomara's unbent, stretched out leg...
"I told you I'll pay"

"This is a perfect excuse to not go clubbing" Xiomara offered "and a reason to not wear those cutesy shoes"

"Not much to do in this hotel though" the other woman claimed.

"It's an all inclusive, it's perfect" Xiomara claimed.

"Easily impressed than" the other woman mocked.

"Maybe" Xiomara claimed, with equal friendly sarcasm.
There was a quiet period before Xiomara spoke again...
"I'm made up every time I don't have to cook" she said before starting to awkwardly slide off the bed "and I'm starved"
The other woman came to her aid.

The two began to make their way out of the bedroom, Xiomara limping on her stiff looking leg.
A pained expression was fixed on the other woman's face as they made their way through the door.

"I think..." the other woman said before stopping herself.

"What?" Xiomara asked.

"I was gonna say you should be putting your feet up, but..."

"Mean!" Xiomara interrupted.

"Knee you'd see it that way" the other woman humoursly claimed.

On neighbouring deckchairs, the older woman sat at a corner, leaning over beside Xiomara as they drink from a tall glass of orange juice via straws.
The pair chatted until the older woman stopped to witness a man with a trolley of food.

"I'm getting us a plate of brunch each?" she said.

"Will they let you?" Xiomara asked "like, wristbands" she added as she held up her wrist, revealing a green band.

"I'm technically staff, trust me they don't mind" she answered as she left to join the crowing queue.

"Bit of everything" the older woman said as she returned with two mountains of food.
She sat as Xiomara propped herself up further and received the meal.
"Us lot are constantly loading you tourists with food, it's worth it in the long run, trust me, for the staff more so" she relayed as she pulled bread apart.

"If you're allowed food and drink, why did we share an orange juice?" Xiomara asked with a slight raised brow as she bit into a small bun.

The other woman glanced her way briefly with a small smirk...
"Why not?" she replied.

"You stay here? You know, you're own room" Xiomara asked humbly before taking another bite.

"I do" the older woman replied flatly.

"Really?" Xiomara responded, meeting silence, before she chose to rhetorically ask "wonder why you asked to charge your phone in my room?"

The older woman smirked to herself silently.

"Not complaining" Xiomara added with a fellow averted smirk.

Xiomara winced as she hobbled behind a group of young adults.
They stopped as an older man who lead them pointed ahead.
Xiomara used this as an opportunity to quickly pull her phone out of her zipped coat pocket. She scrambled through her contacts before reaching 'Loelle' - she began typing 'it's not the same...' before briefly glancing to her group - all of whom where busy using their devices to snap pictures of a cliff; following suit, she drafted the message and took a shot.

'Good' stated Loelle's massage below Xiomara's 'it's not the same without you'.

'What time are you done?' Loelle soon added.

'We're about to finish I think' Xiomara replied.

'There's a street vendor selling chilli fries nearby, wait by him and I'll pick you up'

Xiomara looked around a little, just as the group began to walk towards her...
"Coming to town?" a blood red haired girl asked.

"No I'm OK, just getting a lift" Xiomara replied.

"Off who?" a blonde abruptly asked as she stepped back a bit.

"You know our rep who resigned?" Xiomara asked.

"Loelle?" the blonde responded.

"Yeah" Xiomara replied.

"She could give us a lift to the hotel" the red head claimed "I'm sweating"

"Yeah and I probably won't get in anywhere with trainers" a young man with a Mohawk added.

At the chilli fries street vender, Xiomara stood with five peers.

A moped pulled up beside the group...

"It's Loelle" the blonde woman said as if asking.

"Yo" the older woman in a bicycle helmet greeted.

Xiomara moved forward and gave the moped a look up and down.

"Ride for one" Loelle offered.

The two cruised down a busy road before turning into a car park.
After parking in a spot, Loelle dis-mounted the bike before carefully helping Xiomara off.

"Sorry, it's my only means of transport" Loelle responded to Xiomara's wince.

Back in Xiomara's hotel bedroom, Xiomara looked to her offending foot - bare and lacking in the tan that had caught her skin; turning bronze into copper. Though what stood out was the swollen dark bruise around her ankle.
"Tomorrow afternoon" she said.

"I know, wish we had more time" Loelle quietly said before snapping out of an apparent trance, then focusing upon Xiomara "you know, there's loads to see here"

Xiomara looked to her in thought for a while, before tentatively speaking...
"Doesn't cost much to fly out here"
