Ruhana is waiting for Vineet. She wants to tell him the feelings that she has felt all the while he was away from her. She sings a song, while thinking about him. As she finishes the song, she feels a warm touch. She turns her face and finds Vineet. He is back home, finally. They share a glance, and then he says that he's back and he missed her. Ruhana smiles and hugs him close, putting her arms around his shoulders.

She breaks the hug as she realises the reality. She's a little embarrassed, as there are many people around her. Sanjeev moves towards Vineet to welcome him. Vineet touches his feet and wishes him for his birthday. He also gives a gift wrap to Sanjeev, who's hesitant while taking the gift.

"Beta, iski kya zarurat hai?"  sanjeev asks.

" Aapka birthday hai, papa. Aur mujhe pata hai aapko ye gift pasand aayega." He says with a smile.

"Zaroor. Ab tum laaye ho toh I am sure kuch acha hi hoga. Chalo, ab pehle dinner karte hain. Baaki baatein baad mein." Sanjeev says and Vineet agrees.

Sanjeev and Mrinal ask the guests to enjoy the dinner. Vineet and Ruhana also serve the guests first. The party seems to end on a happy note. Now, it's just Sanjeev, Mrinal, Vineet and Ruhana left. Mrinal looks at both Vineet and Ruhana.

"Vineet beta, tumhe aaram karna chahiye. Mujhe acha laga ki tum aaye.." She says.

"Kaise nahi aata, maa?  Afterall ab mera aapse bhi rishta hai na." Vineet replies.

"Lekin tumhara kaam ho gaya na beta. Ruhana aur uski ma ko yahi chinta thi ki tum aa paoge ya nahi." Sanjeev says.

"Haan beta, Ruhana toh kuch zyada hi pareshan thi.." Mrinal says while looking at her daughter.

Vineet smiles. He knows that she has been waiting keenly for him. Also, she is worried for his business meetings more than her own .

" Maa, Papa! Maine ruhana se kaha tha ki main papa ke birthday tak aa jaunga. Dekhiye, maine apna promise pura kiya. Papa ka birthday bhi attend kia. I am glad main aapke liye kuch kar paya." Vineet says with a smile.

Sanjeev and Mrinal share a glance. They know they have got a good son in law in Vineet's face. He respects them, cares for them, moreover, he is being nice to their daughter and he cares for her as well. He gave importance to them as Ruhana's parents and consider them as his parents as well. Sanjeev looks at Vineet and asks him to rest. Ruhana leads Vineet's way to her room. She asks him to take shower, until she gets coffee for the two of them. Vineet agrees and taking his night dress from the bag, he moves into the washroom, while Ruhana moves into the kitchen to prepare coffee for her husband and herself.

Fifteen minutes later, Ruhana walks into the room holding a tray in her hands. She finds Vineet standing near the window, looking at the night sky. She places the tray on the side table and stands beside him. She keeps her hand on his shoulder and this breaks his trance. He looks at her.

"Kya soch rahe ho?" she asks and passes him one mug.

" Soch raha hoon ki jo main feel karta hoon, kya wo sahi hai?" He asks while looking at her.

"Jab tak tum mujhe bataoge nahi, tab tak main tumhari madad kaise karungi, Vineet? Aur waise bhi, jo bhi hum sochte hain, wo hamare liye toh sahi hi hota hai. Baaki sabke liye, nazariye ki baat hoti hai, Vineet." she says and takes a sip from her coffee mug.

" Thik keh rahi ho tum. Mujhe is baat ki khushi hai ki maine dono pehluon ko socha. "  Vineet says.

Ruhana looks at him. She doesn't know what he is talking about. Is it anything related to her? Is he going to break the ties with her? But if that's the case, he won't have gifted anything to her father. He might not come back to her, at her home. Various thoughts bubble in her mind, but she lets him explain.

"Tum kehna kya chahte ho? Saaf saaf batao na. Wahan US mein sab thik se ho gaya na?" She asks, thinking that there is something that happened there.

"Nahi Ruhana! Infact, wo kaam toh bahut ache se hua hai. I am glad about that."  he says.

"Toh tum kehna kya chahte ho? Kis baat ke perspective ki baat kar rahe ho?" she asks.

Vineet looks at her briefly. He doesn't know how to say it. He is doubtful about her feelings for him. And he is afraid to loose a selfless and best friend.

"Tumhare baare mein keh raha hoon." he says, finally.

"Mere baare mein? Kyun maine kya kiya? Sara kaam toh thik se hua hai na?"  She asks, thinking that he is pointing towards her work process.

"Tumne mujhe kitna sataya! It's like I am used to being around you, ya yun kahun, tumhari aadat ho gayi hai mujhe." he says.

Ruhana is astonished. So, this means, he feels the same way as her? Maybe, yes. She hopes, atleast. She looks at him, while he turns towards her.

" Sach mein, this trip was useful. It helped me realise your worth. Mujhe nahi pata tha, hamara rishta ek khubsurat mod tak jayega" he says affectionately.

"Socha toh maine bhi nahi tha, Vineet. Lekin, I missed you. Aur tumhari kami ne mujhe ye ehsas karvaya ki tum mere liye kya mayne rakhte ho." She says softly.

"I was so used to you, lekin tum mere pas nahi they. And I realised, ki Rishtey hamesha dil se bante hain. I've realised ki…. " She says,but pauses and looks at him briefly.

"I've realised Vineet, I realised ki main tumhe chahne lagi hoon. Tumhare jaane ke waqt mujhe acha nahi lag raha tha, Vineet. Par wo toh tumhara kaam tha. Tumhare jaane ke baad, tumhari kami khalne lagi. Aur itne din baad , Main keh sakti hoon ki main tumse pyar karne lagi hoon. I mean it, Vineet. " she finally confesses her feelings.

He looks at her keenly. A smile lights his face. So, she holds the same feelings as him. He holds her hands.

"I mean it too, Ruhana. I've realised your worth. Haan, ek anchaha rishta juda tha, lekin ab pyar ka rishta hoga. I love you too." he says.

She looks at him with teary eyes and finally hugs him hiding her face in his chest. Two souls united for good.
