I practically ran into the precinct , stopping at Ed's office. "Where's Jerome?"

"Calm down, Ms. Kyle. H-he's in the interrogation room with Mr. Gordon. "  I nod before taking a deep breath.

"You're right, I'm sorry. Also, if it's not too much of an inconvenience, may you please watch Selena tonight? I worry for Jerome's...mental stability."

Ed nods and straightens his glasses. "O-of course.I would be happy to watch her."

I smile before kissing him. "You really are to kind. I've got to go. I owe you." I walk towards the interrogation room and stand by the door. Within seconds,I'm tackled by the crazy ginger. I hug back, ignoring his fake tears. One hand strokes his hair as he 'sobs'. "I-I can't b-believe she's gone!"

"Shh. I know, I know. May I please talk to Detective Gordon for a second?"

"O-oh, o-of course."

"So, what do you want me to do Jim?" I ask as Jerome leaves the room.

"Just...watch him. In the morning, maybe try to get him to talk about his feelings." I nod and leave the room, wrapping an arm around Jerome as we leave the precinct. The second we get outside, his 'sobs' turn into laughter.

"You were right! The cops here are straight up idiots. This is going to be so.much.fun."

Oh god...I hate coffee, but I do need it. I let out a soft groan as I sit down with my cup of coffee. I slowly lay my forehead on the table as I rethink my life choices.

"Wowzers, you really woke up on the wrong side of the bed." I slowly lift my head and glare at Jerome, not breaking eye contact as I take another sip of my coffee. "Yeash...tough crowd. What, that boyfriend of yours giving trouble?" His eyes seemed to darken at the last sentence.

"No, not at all. I'm just tired."
