ORIGIN

Whenever Juliet first opened her eyes, all she could see was an endless void. It consumed her like the sheer black cloth that covered her body.

"Where am I?" she wondered aloud. Juliet couldn't remember how she got to this place. Or what it was.

She slowly sits up, pressing her palms against the darkness as she cranes her neck, hoping to see some sort of way out. Instead, she's face to face with a large, ominous mirror.

She stares into her reflection and sees herself—a rippled reflection with sea-green eyes that were wide with fright. Her face was covered with that same black material, and she could barely make out her features as she continued to stare into the mirror.

Suddenly, the surface of the mirror starts to shift. She climbs to her feet, watching the mirror with curiosity as it warps and changes. It doesn't take long for two words to appear. They were bright and ominous, written in red ink.

FIND LILITH CZAR.

"Who's Lilith Czar?" Juliet mumbled to herself.

"I am."

A sultry female voice that commanded respect breaks through the void. Juliet spins around and is face to face with what looks to be her—that is, except for the fact that the woman in front of her has long black hair and is wearing a wicked smile.

"W—what?" Juliet gasped. "Who are you?"

"I told you," the woman said. "I am Lilith Czar...created from filth and dust."

Juliet begins to back away when she sees a beam of light radiate off of something in Lilith Czars' hand. "Why did you want me to find you?"

"I will show you, you will see me..." she trailed off, and twirled the object in her hand. Juliet gulps when she sees it's a long dagger. "I was cast down from my ivory towers to the depths of the black blazing sun. But now I have escaped, and I will rule with absolute chaos. I want to be king. I am king."

White-hot pain radiates through Juliet's body in a roaring surge as the dagger pierced her stomach. She gasps for breath, and Lilith Czar stares down at her with hooded, gleeful eyes.

She twists the dagger deeper into her flesh. Juliet crumples into Lilith's arms and takes her final breath.

"You...won't win..." she wheezed.

"Oh, but that is where you're wrong, Juliet Simms," Lilith says in an almost soothing voice. "Don't you know? I am king."

Juliet sinks into the void for the last time.

Lilith Czar stares up at the inky blackness, and drops the dagger. It clatters somewhere in the oblivion. She allows her eyes to flutter shut.

The fire begins to burn around her, to consume her. She was one with the flames.

She was Lilith Czar.
