"Take me there" I commanded

"Chanel, you had a long day you need to rest" Leo said

"I'll drive" Xander suggested

"No! Chanel.. come on" Leo started "It's not going anywhere you could go tomorrow"

"I want to go now.." I said, "Come with us... Please?"

"Fine.." he said

The three of us walked out of the house and got inside the car with me in the back seat and them beside each other.

I felt a huge tension between them. I could tell none of then like each other.

When we got to the "Rose valley private hospital", walked into the reception asking for Joel Frank. The receptionist looked through the names then told us he's in the "ICU" that Leo explained as intensive care unit.

We got upstairs and entered the unit and stood in front of the room.

"You two could stay here.." I said

"No," Xander said

"You two are staying here, Xander. It's final"

I walked into the room and saw the nurse in there.

"Hi," I said quietly

"Hello," she said standing up

I walked closer to the bed and looked at the guy called Joel Frank.

I know this guy...

I walked closer to him, slowly...

"Listen Chanel... A lot of the answers you're looking for you already know. Deep down on your brain. It's there. Stop taking your memory as a weakness it has way more than you think."

"I don't know.."

"Don't doubt yourself. You know, Chanel" he smiled

"Please help me"

"You will see me again.."

Oh my god...

It's him...

"Joel.." I whispered standing beside him and held his hand "I didn't know this is what you meant by me seeing you again.."

"Are you family?" The nurse asked quietly

"No.. I guess I'm his friend.." I answered looking at her "What happened to him?"

"Trust me... You don't want to know that. It's hard to hear."

"Tell me.."

"Well... The poor thing came in from a car accident." She started "Accident was horrible... It's good his heart is still beating.."

"Car accident.."

"Yeah... He came in here but he wasn't the driver. It was said the driver was a girl... But she's alive and kicking. He on the other hand; his family is debating whether or not the monitors should be removed.."

"What happened to the girl?" I asked

"She got up from a coma that's all that was said.."

"Coma.." I held back my tears scared on them falling

Was it me? I did this?

"I'm sorry, Joel.." I whispered through small breaths "I don't know what happened... But I promise you I will make it right."

I walked out of the room quietly to the boys who were waiting for me outside.

"What took you so long..?" Leo asked

"Is everything alright?" Xander followed him

"Everything is fine. I just want to go home" I said walking with their steps not far behind

I woke up to Leo's sleeping face in my room. I got up slowly not to wake him up and went to get ready for work.

Joel Frank.. The guy from the dreams
Why him? Why am I dreaming of him?
Before I even saw him..?

He was probably my friend like Irene said... I know him.
I was the one driving the car... I did this to him.
I basically.. killed him?

I sat down on the edge of the bathtub and cried...
Yes. Cried my eyes out.

I'm the reason he's dying.

I looked up to see Leo on his knees in front of me

"Please talk to me.." he moved his hand on my cheek

"I'm not ready.."

"It's okay... No pressure" he rubbed my shoulders and pulled me into a hug "I'm here.."

I walked into the theatre and got dressed to start my shift.

Standing there waiting for people to start coming in.

"Morning" Eric greeted standing beside me

"Morning" I smiled softly

"You seem burdened"

"I don't know.. I guess"

"Who isn't..?" He said walking to the first costumer

After finishing work I waited for Leo to show up but he didn't so Eric suggested to drive me home.

I climbed out of the car and closed the door "Thank you so much"

"Very welcome," he said and drove away

Then came to sight the young girl... The one who fell and I helped her up

Was her name Lily?

I walked to her watching her running behind a butterfly trying to catch it. It's the most adorable sight I've seen...

"Hi Lily," I said and smiled

She looked at me for a second and smiled back "Hi... Do you want to play with me?"

"I'd love to.."

"What are you doing here?" Her older sister said standing with crossed arms.

"I'm asking to play with her.." I answered

"You're not allowed to. What's your plan this time??"

"Plan? I'm sorry but do I know you??"

"Here we go. Drop the fucking act"

"I'm not acting! I made a fucking accident that nobody knows shit about and I lost my memory while I'm at it. I'm suffering from temporary amnesia!" I screamed "I don't understand why everyone is treating me like that! Disgusted looks everywhere I go! Nobody speaks to me and I can't speak to anyone!"

"Accident? Memory loss?" She stood there confused "When?"

"I don't even know... I've been in a coma I don't know for how long, and here I am now. No clue who I am or who anyone is."

"Go play Lily, Just take care." She told her little sister who ran off

We sat here in this colourful café that had really pretty chairs and really calm music.

A little vintage...

"My name is Dawn James. We were together in college." She started "We were friends; me, you and a guy called Dane"

"Dane?" I asked "My ex?"

"Yep. That's him. You two spoke?"

"Not exactly... Anyway, please keep going."

"Um... We did everything together. Then I fell for Dane...I told you but well, you didn't really care. Soon after you and him started dating. You betrayed me...You two then started pulling away from me. I didn't really care I stayed with you two" she sighed "You changed though.. You started being a really bad human being. You were never nice to anyone."

"Oh.."

"That's why you're getting the looks I guess... I was always by your side but you knew some weird people who ruined you.."

"I had friends?" I asked

"Of course you did.. Tons of em"

"Where are they now...?"

"What do you mean?"

"I woke up with nobody on my side but this girl called Mia... Then I knew a guy who's supposed to be my friend, his name is Xander and then I discovered another one in the hospital called-"

"Joel.." she completed my sentence

"You know him?"

"Of course I do. Joel was like a brother to you.."

"Is there something else you're not telling me..?"

"I'm trying to understand clearly now... So you have Mia, Xander and Joel?"

"Yes"

"What about Dane?"

"Slammed the door in my face.."

"Ouch.." she cringed "I'm sorry.."

"Yeah... it's okay"

"I'll help you with this don't worry. Whenever you need me, ill be there" she smiled "but for now, you need to doubt to trust.."

"This sentence kills me... I've heard it too many times"

"Joel used to say it to you all the time.." she smiled getting up "I'll see you around?"

"Yeah.." I got up and hugged her "Thank you"

"You're welcome"

I walked slowly into the house to the sound of the t.v.

"Mom?" I called walking into the living room

"Hey, Nelly," Dad said sitting there with this glass in his hand

"Hey dad" I smiled and sat next to him "How was work?"

"It was good. How was your day?"

"Good, I guess. Are you okay?" I looked at him

"I don't know.." he sighed "Is it normal for someone to just disappear all of a sudden?"

"Um.." I thought of it for a second "I don't think so... I think something bad has to happen for someone to not be there"

"But nothing did.." he whispered

"Who disappeared?" I asked

He shook his head and drank from his glass.

"Are you and mom okay?"

"I don't know.." he sighed "I tried making her happy, but she doesn't want to let me in. At least that's what she told me" he shrugged

"When did all of this start?"

"2 years ago, I think?"

"2 years???"

"Yeah. You were there.." he rested back for a second "Ohhhh you forgot" he chuckled "That's just sad.."

He stood up and put the empty glass down. "Goodnight, Nelly" he walked to his room and closed the door.
