Chapter Seven: Tension
Leo
I looked to my side thinking wow she's beautiful. After the small talk we had I didn't think I'll ever see her again because of that furious dude she was with. Until I went to gran's library and met her for the second time. When I asked her out and she accepted, I was relieved that the guy with her wasn't her boyfriend.
"Hey sweetheart" Gran came into the living room carrying a tea tray, so I got up and took it from her and sat down
"You have to stop carrying things, Gran" I sighed "It's not good for you"
"Heavy things, Leo. Heavy." She smiled
We sat drinking tea and watching tv when my gran cleared her throat and started "Your father called"
I blinked multiple times but had nothing to say "He asked about you and your well being"
"Tell him I'm gonna be fine if he stops asking about me"
"Leo... He's your father" she sighed
"My father? Where was my father when my mother was dying? Where was he when I needed him?" I shook my head in disbelief "He was probably playing with his money or humping one of his women"
"Gran, my father is the reason my mother died..." I looked at her "I'm never gonna forgive him."
"Son... You've grown" she smiled and moved her hand on my cheek "He will always be your father, but I am proud of you."

I walked down the street peacefully with refreshing air hitting my skin and blowing my hair in each and every direction. I like these kinds of windy days. The ones where the sun exists but the wind is also present.
I saw this little girl was running very fast and suddenly fell and started crying. I ran over to her and carried her to her feet. "It's okay sweetie" I wiped her tears and moved her hair behind her ear "Are you okay?" I smiled when she nodded in response and asked "What's your name?"
She took some time then smiled slightly and blushed when someone called her name from behind me "Lilly!!"
The girl who seemed like she was her sister ran over to us and stopped when her eyes came into mine "Stay away from my sister!" She yelled
"I-umm was just helping her... she fell"
"Come on, Lilly. Let's go" she looked at me in disgust, carried Lilly and walked away
I stood to my feet and sighed. This wasn't the first time this happens, and I'm sure it won't be the last time either...
It's been happening for the past two weeks. People just throwing disgusted glances at me. Death glares too, sometimes. I don't even know why.
I guess there are a lot of things in life that we will never and don't really have to understand...
I walked into the house and took my shoes off "Mom, I'm home!" I searched for my mother everywhere "Mom?"
"I'm out here sweetheart. Come, I have a surprise for you!"
I waked out in the garden to find mom sitting with someone "Sweetie, this young boy says he knows you. He is also so sweet" she smiled
"Hey Chanel" Leo stood up and smiled
"Leo? What are you doing here?"
"I'm going to leave you two together. I just made fresh juice, I'll go get you some" she smiled and walked away

"Hey" I smiled at her
"Hey Leo" she smiled back and sat down
"How's life?"
"You're really here to ask me 'How's life?' Come on..."
"I wanted to see you"
"I was going to visit the library today"
"For me?"
She looked down and smiled "Maybe"
Her cheeks turning pink. Her hair was shiny and dark flowed in waves on her shoulders. Her smiley eyes were hazel framed by long lashes and twinkly. Straight nose. Rosy full lips. Glowy skin that shines in the sun.
She's beautiful.
I think her smile made the world sigh as did my body... maybe my heart...
"Yeaaah. Here we go" I smiled back
Her face shifted slightly from bright and shiny to sadness "Are you okay, Chanel?"
"Why do you ask?"
"You seem sad... Off"
"Yeah..." she sighed "Weird things have been happening"
"How weird?"
"People in the neighbourhood hate me... they look at me in disgust and it's not just once or twice, It's a lot"
"It's probably nothing. They're probably jealous of you" I winked at her
Just then her mother walked in with a tray and following shortly behind her was the dude that I saw with Chanel... Xander? I think
"There you go" Her mother smiled and put the tray down "Chanel, Xander is here"
"Hey Channy" he said smiling
"Hi Xander. I'm so sorry for what happened yesterday."
"Its totally fine" he said and looked at me "Hi, Leo. It's Leo, right?"
"Hi" I answered
The feelings I have towards this guy is just not right. The vibes he gives are just off. Yes, girls would drool over him I'm sure, but something about him seems wrong.

The whole day was basically focused on the tension between Leo and Xander. For some reason, they don't like each other and it's too obvious.
Right now, I was lying in bed trying to connect the pieces of the puzzle together.
Xander... He seems like a good friend. A good guy
Leo... I just knew him
Irene... supposedly she was a close person to me during the missing months of my life
Joel... the missing piece
Joel...
But Xander knows me best and he doesn't know anyone with that name
Could Irene be messing with my head?
Why would she do that though?
This is so tiring... its not even semi logical
Why do missing months feel like missing years...?
Why didn't those people exist before those months...?
Why did I have to forget those particular months?
