It wasn't his fault. He didn't mean to say it to Logan, nor had they intended on being so close when Roman walked in. Normally, Virgil would be way too anxious to even cuddle Logan in the commons, but after a week of not seeing him, Virgil gave into any and all temptation.

It started out innocent enough, a soft smile, a fond "I love you" and a fair few side glances. But after so long, Virgil couldn't take anymore and he just had to lean over and ask Logan to kiss him.

Sure, Virgil wasn't one for displaying their relationship, but when he needed time with his boyfriend, he had to have it. More often than not, Logan had told him that he was busy and that he would have to wait, only to be ignored for a few days after. When Virgil wanted affection, he needed it.

Being from the dark side of the mind made him develop as a more ignored, touch-starved side, and he often felt like he was being torn in two when he was being denied love. One half of him was overly anxious and terrified that he was losing Logan, the other half was too needy for the affection that he didn't care.

Not to mention, he didn't even know Roman liked him, so how was it his fault? He just wanted to spend time with his boyfriend, but no, he couldn't do that either.

As soon as their lips met, Roman walked in and started making a scene about how they were being rude and disrespectful. Oh, and clearly inconsiderate of Roman's feelings. But how was Virgil to know when he'd never been told or even alerted of how Roman felt?

Virgil couldn't do anything. He tried to speak and Roman spoke over him, he hid in Logan's shoulder or gripped onto his hand, and all of a sudden, he was doing something completely ridiculous and mean.

Logan held him tight the entire way through it, completely ignoring what Roman had to say, but as soon as Patton got involved, it seemed to get worse and Logan couldn't tune it out anymore. He snapped.

"Roman, did you ever alert Virgil of your feelings towards him?"

"No, I..."

"So, am I right in guessing that he had no idea how you felt towards him?"

"I mean, sure, but..."

"So, how is he the one who is in the wrong? All he did was come and sit with me, his boyfriend, so we could watch a movie and cuddle for the first time in a week."

"But..."

"Now, if you'll excuse us, we will be departing for the evening, and we wish to not be disturbed."

Logan took Virgil's hand and sunk out into the former's room, leaving Roman and Patton to share a look, before walking away from the commons.

Logan pulled Virgil to the bed, holding him close so he knew how loved he was, and that it wasn't going to last. He knew how calming Virgil found listening to his heart rate, so they lay there for a while, not caring about much else other than keeping Virgil calm.

And that's how they stayed for the rest of the evening, cuddled up against one another, loving the way they seemed to fit together until sleep consumed them.
