Just A Dream?

*Y/N's POV:

I lay there, on the bed, stiff as a board. My eyes weakly open, staring at the bright lights above me, trying to focus but I feel just so weak. I can hear numerous voices around me, they appear to be faint as I can't concentrate, there's so many speaking at once. I can hear one person, stern and confident. Another, shaky and unsure. A third, pure panic, not giving me much hope with that attitude.

But then I hear a distinct voice...

"What are we looking at here?" The voice asks.

"She's suffered multiple injuries. She appears to have internal bleeding, in her abdomen. She's got broken ribs, bruising pretty much everywhere from her pelvis upwards. But the concern right now is her internal bleeding and the head trauma." The confident Doctor explains.

I hear a low groan followed by a sigh.

"What's the plan? How are you going to fix this?" The voice asks.

"Well we need to control the bleeding in her abdomen..." The confident Doctor goes to explain but he is interrupted.

"What? Shouldn't we assess her head? What if she's got bleeding in her brain? Shouldn't that come first?" The shaky Doctor interjects.

"Are you guys really arguing what's more important? The more time that is wasted, the quicker she'll die. We've wasted enough time already talking, we need to do something fast before we lose her!" The panicky Doctor pipes up.

Oh my god, I'm going to die because these idiots can't come up with a plan.

"Where is the one who's in charge? I want him to come up with the plan." The voice demands.

As I was listening to their conversation, I began to feel incredibly dizzy and lightheaded, my eyes started to flutter. I look over at the head that was hovering and looking down at me, he looked familiar...

This man wasn't a doctor, he has these beautiful crystal blue eyes, like a dark blonde or light brown hair, curly hair I might add. Stern look on his incredible facial features.

"Y/N? Are you alright? Stay with me, look at me." The voice instructs.

I feel him grab my hand and squeeze, he places his other hand on my cheek, lightly tapping my dried up bloody skin.

"Keep your eyes on mine." He says softly.

I fight to keep my eyes on his incredibly blue orbs, after a few minutes I start to lose that fight, my eyes began to flutter again before they rolled to the back of my head.

Then everything went black.

The man's face was the last thing I saw.

                                            •

"Are you just going to lay there all day?" The voice asks.

I open my eyes and look up, I see a blue sky with a few clouds floating by. I furrow my brows as I lifted my head and looked down at my body, my perfectly healthy and clean body. My hands running over where there was cuts, bruises, bleeding...so I thought.

I sit up in a seated position, staring down at myself in confusion, my eyes widen as my hand went up to my head and I didn't feel any blood or gashes.

What the hell is going on here.

"It's okay, take your time." The voice says softly.

I look over and see the man who I swore was bending down and looking at me moments ago.

"What...how did I..." I began to speak but the shock was taking over my ability to form a sentence.

"You were attacked." The man says as he slowly sits down beside me.

I slowly turn my head to look over at him, he turns his head to look at me.

"Attacked? Am I dead?" I ask above a whisper.

The man chuckles to himself as he looks straight ahead.

"No, you're not. I'm hoping to keep it that way. I'm just distracting you until everything's over." He says with a sigh.

I watch him as he looks out over the hills, my gaze follows his as I look around. This place seems familiar, we're not even on Coruscant, we're on Naboo.

"Until what's over? And who are you?" I ask, hint of annoyance laced in my tone.

The man fully turns to face me, his blue orbs staring directly into my confused gaze.

"I'm Anakin. Anakin Skywalker. I'm the one that saved you on the field." He admits, his expression softening into a somber one.

I stare at him in disbelief, this isn't happening right now. This is some messed up dream I'm having, that's got to be it.

"This isn't a dream, Y/N." Anakin sighs as he takes my hand, "It may seem like that to you but really, we're inside your subconscious. To explain better without the technicals...we're inside your head."

"Excuse me?" I scoff.

"I'm here because I'm worried. Ever since you were attacked, you've been really off which was expected for someone who got thrown off a ship. But I'm trying to keep your mind alive, trying to keep you here with me until everything's over." Anakin explains.

I take a deep breath as I close my eyes momentarily. Taking a moment to process the information I've just received before opening my eyes and landing them on Anakin.

"That's something you Jedi can do?" I ask, raising my brows.

Anakin gives me a warm smile.

"Yes, with me being a Force user, I have access to tap into someone's mind when they're unconscious. This is the first time I've actually done it." He admits, keeping his eyes on me as he explained.

"Really? Why are you doing it with me?" I ask out of curiosity.

Anakin sighs before he leans forward.

"Because I felt something when I picked you up off the ground. Like this fierce spark of energy. I couldn't ignore it, there's something special about you." He tells me while his thumb stroked the back of my hand.

"Special? What is it so special about me that caught your attention? I'm just a mechanic, a mechanic that was in the wrong ship at the wrong time." I sigh.

Anakin shakes his head

"No, it was more than that. It's the same feeling my Master and his Master had when they first met me when I was a child. When they knew I had the force in me." He reveals.

My eyes widen in surprise, the Force? He's got to be joking.

"Me? Having the Force? There's no way. I'm just an ordinary person." I scoff.

"That's what I thought about myself too when I was a child. And yet here we are." He says, shrugging his shoulders.

I sigh in disbelief. Not wanting to believe him.

"So, the Chosen One thinks I could be a Force user." I say with wonder.

Anakin smirks as he sits back, leaning on his hands that are now planted on the grass behind him.

"So you do know who I am." He snickers.

"I've heard of you, I just don't remember seeing you, not in a long time anyway. I don't usually interact with Jedi unless it's necessary." I admit.

"I'm surprised. Someone who fixes and builds our ships doesn't actually see the Jedi who fly them." He raises his brows.

"I usually like it that way, so I don't have anybody nagging at me to make special adjustments to their ships to their liking. They get the same thing as everyone else." I say, laying down on the grass, staring at the sky.

Anakin smiles and he lays down beside me, resting his head on his left arm that's placed beneath his head for support.

"Smart. I'd probably be the same." He says.

"I'd also wouldn't be rebuilding a lot of ships if you'd stop crashing so many of them." I say with a sigh.

Anakin scoffs followed by a deep chuckle.

"Hey, it's not always me. Sometimes it's also Obi-Wan. Plus, a lot of the missions we go on are dangerous and unpredictable. Why do you think it's always me?" He defends.

"Because I got a sense when I first saw you as a young cocky Padawan that you'd be trouble." I say with a smirk.

Anakin turns on his side to face me, propping himself up on his elbow so he can look down at me.

"Is that what you really thought of me?" He asks.

"Thought? I still do." I mumble.

Anakin laughs as he shoves my arm.

"I heard that." He exclaims with a laugh.

I laugh as I shove him back, causing him to fall on his side and roll onto his back.

The both of us just laid there, basking in the afternoon sun on Naboo, laying there in comfortable silence. I heard Anakin sigh as I feel his hand reach over and grab mine.

"It's almost time for you to go back." He says in a low voice.

"I'm afraid." I admit.

Anakin squeezes my hand before turning his head to the side to look at me.

"Don't be, I'll be right there waiting for you." He says.

I turn my head to look into his crystal blue eyes.

"Will I remember any of this?" I ask, squeezing his hand slightly.

"Probably not. But it's okay, I will still be here, just in the real world, while you are conscious." He explains.

I nod as I look back up at the sky, moments later everything started to get hazy and blurry. I panic as I squeezed Anakin's hand again but a lot harder.

"Anakin?" I call out in a panicked tone.

"It's okay, Y/N. I'll be right there when you wake up. Don't fight this." He urges.

My head starts to spin as my vision slowly turns black.

                                            •

My eyes slowly open, the bright lights blaring above me begin to burn my sensitive eyes. My ears are ringing as the pain in my head starts to pound to the point I can actually hear it in my ears.

"She's waking up." A voice says faintly.

As my vision starts to focus, my bed is being lifted, lifting me into a more seated position so I can see the people standing before me.

I see four Doctors, 2 Nurses and 2 what I presume to be Jedi, all standing around me, staring at me.

"Welcome back, Y/N. It's good to see you awake." The confident Doctor says with a smile.

My hand reaches up to touch my head that's covered in a bandage.

"What happened?" I groaned in pain.

"You were involved in a vicious attack. This Jedi here was the one that saved you from further harm and brought you here." He says.

My eyes follow the gesture of his hand, landing on the tall Jedi that was looking down at me before everything went black.

"It's good to see you are awake and doing well, Y/N" the Jedi says with a smile as he walks up to me, standing beside me.

I furrow my brows as I stare up at his soft features.

"Thank you, who are you?" I ask.

He smiles as he puts his hand gently on my shoulder.

"I'm Anakin, Anakin Skywalker." He says with a smile.
