Magic is probably the coolest thing on Earth, it's fascinating and, well, magical, and it's just so frigging cool, what kind of human would you be to not want magic in your life?

Brogan Finnigan's problem is that she has magic in her life - but she doesn't possess it herself.

It's her brother who's blessed with this gift and because of jealousy, she hasn't spoken for a day with him when his Hogwarts letter's arrived because Brogan is the one who's been learning card tricks and muggle magic, she's the one who's owning a white rabbit with the fantastic name Froggy to let him magically appear in her fancy stovepipe hat, she's the one - I think, you get the point.

However, Brogan's gotten used to it after some time, not full of jealousy but fascination and glee now because, the heck, magic is fucking real. She's still not over it after... how many have it been now... six years?

And of course she still wants to know more after all this time, so it's rather convenient that Seamus' best friend Dean Thomas is visiting over the summer - time to be charming to get some sparkles.
