Chapter 12: That point in time when your life is just SO messed up you don't know whether 'surprised' is an understatement or overstatement

-----??? POV---- 

I was running. Running against the cold wind. My powers weren't activating, I was never good in gym class, and now I don't know where the heck I am! My black hair streaked back as I ran. Why was it chasing me? Of all people? Why did I ever listen to that stupid dream! I mentally sighed. At least it wasn't snowing. I should have been looking at where I was going because while I was thanking there wasn't any white powder, I sort of wish there had been when I tripped over a tree root and flat on my face. I looked behind me. I could see the monsters breath closing in. I stared at it's green color. I got up quickly and grabbed the biggest stick I could find. I ran at my attacker. I should've known it wasn't going to work. I just hope I'll live to see a happy Christmas with my family.

-----Chopper's POV----- 

I was changing Dipper's bandages, again. This boy is very unlucky. He woke all bloody because a sharp stone scraped his side. It's hard not to feel bad for him. Robin, Nix, Jack and Sara decided to go 'patrol' the area. Whatever that means. I still think they should have brought Luffy along. He's definitely the strongest of all of us, even if he doesn't act like it.

Then something happened I hoped never would again. A green thing floated right through the cave wall. Dipper and I screamed, I ran and he crawled to the safety behind the other two in the cave with us. Luffy, with his hand on his arm, had a grin on his face.I'm surprised he isn't staring in awe at the monster, it just came through a wall! Nova looked annoyed, her purple hair furled up, and a purple aura surrounding her. She had been sleeping, until Dipper and I screamed that is.

"Get out you freak!" Nova boomed. Suddenly,  a line of small purple crystals went hurtling towards the green, goopy, monster.

The monster freaked out, and seemed to leave with a small curse. "Don't get on the wrong side of ghosts, kids!" And he left.

Wait... Was that thing a.... GHOST! 

-----Sara's POV----- 

This is SO boring! Why did I have to come on this stupid patrol anyway? I'd rather stay in the cave with Nova. I want to here about her fighting Llana again. And she really wanted to here about me fighting King Dearnu. But nope! I'm stuck her with a bunch of freaks. Although I'm not one to talk. There was then a giant crash. I looked over to see Robin coming out from a bush, covered in leaves.

"I would be laughing. If this wasn't the fifth freaking time!" I yelled at him. He rubbed his arm. I couldn't blame him. He is hoping something will be there so he can show off to Nix and rub it in Jack's face, even though Jack could care less. "I don't want to be demanding or anything but could we please head back to the cave now? We are getting no-" I stopped dead. I had walked through some bushes and nearly tripped over a, body?

It was a kid. Black hair, torn up T-shirt, torn up jeans and missing a shoe. He had gashes all over his body. He groaned. He was alive! I picked him up carefully and turned towards the others. I could almost feel the fury in Robin's eyes as he stared at me, and the boy.

"Let's get back to the cave. Chopper needs to look at this." I suggested. Luckily everyone agreed with me, not everyone was happy about it, but they still agreed.

-----Robin's POV----- 

We finally got to the cave with the beaten up boy near the afternoon. Chopper was already inspecting him, and Nova was telling Sara about some 'ghost' that had come through. Oh please, ghosts? Superhero or not, ghosts are still to unreal for me. Chopper was placing a clod rag on the boy's forehead when he started opening his eyes. He tried sitting up, but failed when Chopper kept him down. 

"A raccoon dog?" the boy said when he saw Chopper.

"I'm a reindeer!" He said. Luffy luckily kept himself from bursting out in laughter from his doctor's species being confused. What even is a raccoon dog?

"Chopper, lean him up against the wall." I ordered. He gave me a look. I gave him a fierce one back. As much as I can with sunglasses on. After a minute or two of staring, Chopper gave in and set the boy up against the wall. "Who are you? And why are you out in the middle of the forest?"

"Who wants to know?" The boy responded. I growled. The boy just stared me right in the face with his icey blue gaze. I didn't like this boy. Sara broke the staring contest by pushing me away from him.

"You idiot. You need to take a gentler approach with this." She said. She turned back to the boy and leaned down next to him. "Hi, I'm Sara Tinatti. This is Robin," She gestured to me, then to the others in a respected order. "Nix, Luffy, Dipper, Nova, Jack, and the one that you called a raccoon dog is Chopper, the doctor of this group. Now, can you tell me your name?" 

The boy glanced at all of before letting his gaze rest on Sara. "My name is, Danny Fenton." He managed to say before passing out again.
