"Guys! Let's grab something to eat before we listen to the bard! I'm starving!" Atticus said.
Of course he would want food I mean why not. If you can't tell I'm being sarcastic." Okay sure, let me grab Jada real quick" with that I turned around to where Jada would be except that she wasn't there. 'Come on' I thought to my self ' why couldn't she just stay with me?' I started pushing through the crowd seeking her when I was shoved down to the ground by the mob of people. I look to see who did it and.. .woww. 'Oh my god he's.... beautiful.' I thought myself.
"I am so sorry, my lady! Here let me help you." He said with a smile.
"Aauuh duhh" was all that managed to come out of my mouth. When I realised what I had just said my cheeks reddened in embarrassment.
"Thank you!" I managed to choke out.
"It is a pleasure" he said" I mean the helping you up part ,not shoving you down.?!"It was his turn to blush.
I started to say something but I was cut off by Jada when she grabbed my arm. "Jada! We've been waiting on you!"
"Well I'm waiting on you now" she said as she dragged me by my arm. I looked back and our eyes met once more and I realised I hadn't even gotten his name. 'Ugh, I'm so stupid' I admitted to myself.
"Come on!" Jada said as she tugged me along ever faster.
"Okay okay, I'm coming." I reply.
"Where are we going to?" she questions.
"We're meeting up with Atticus at the playhouse where the famous Bard should be recounting rare stories!" I told her excitedly. Even if Market day wasn't just once a year these stories that would be told tonight are still very rare. Mainly because the stories were told to the wrong people which led to the Bard often getting in trouble. So it took a lot to get in there but since we are orphans we got in a lot easier than most would.
I guess they just didn't expect much of a threat from us, but I mean who would. We were orphans, nameless people, who other people did not take heed to. 'Except for him..' I thought. ' I wish I could have spent more time with him.
"Cassie! Quit day dreaming and come on," said Jada.
"Sorry sorry, I'm coming."I replied sheepishly.
"You better be or else I'm gonna leave you behind" she said with a grin stretching from ear to ear.
After what seemed like an eternity we finally made it to the food stalls and met up with Atticus.
"There you are!" he said to us" I thought I was gonna have to come in looking for you!"
"Sorry" Jada said" Cassie wouldn't stop daydreaming, I basically had to drag her all the way here." After a little bit we had our food and were walking over to the play house. All of us were practically bouncing up and down in anticipation.
" I'm so excited to listen to the Bard!" Bursted Jada.
" I know so am I! I wonder what he will talk about?" I answered.
"Who knows with him, it is said that his knowledge is so vast and travels so wide that there is not a single story he hadn't heard about!" said Atticus!
"I can't believe he has been outside of the great city!" Jada cried.
"I thought the light wouldn't let anyone out?" I said. At the mention of our so called "government" both of their faces darkened. ' Uh oh' I thought' now Atticus is gonna on a rant again and might get us in trouble!' Luckily we arrived at the theatre before he could blow up. We made our way to the front of the crowd the anticipation of what we where about to her slowly dispelling the reminisce of the thoughts about the Light.
"Welcome everybody! My name is Jason the bard." I snap my head towards the front where the voice was coming from but what I see de-rails my thoughts.
It is the man that pushed me down and picked me up all the while capturing my heart.
