Garnet stops, just missing Purple Tourmaline. Purple Tourmaline sighs and breaths out, "Don't... Don't hurt her!"

Garnet's expression lifts, but is still angry-looking. "What do you mean?!"

Tourmaline pushes Peridot back a bit more, just to make sure nothing happens. "She's my friend! I don't want you to hurt her!"

Pearl immediately gets angry and screams, "OH, COME ON!!!"

Amethyst and Steven watch as Pearl silently has a temper tantrum.

Peridot speaks up, quietly, "T-Tourmaline. I can protect myself. And I will-"

"Heh, Peri, you're not protecting yourself. I'm here now. I'll do the protecting."

Peridot growls, and simply agrees.

"Purple Tourmaline... We can't trust Peridot. She is the enemy. We have to poof and bubble her, so she can't be a threat. Now, move-"

"Look, I know you aren't exactly... Compatible... With each other. But I know Peridot. She may want to hurt you, and she may want to hurt the Earth. But you can trust her now because I'm here."

Pearl stopped her temper tantrum and squawked, "How do you make this situation any different??"

"Because she trusts me. And for as long as she's here, I'll, hopefully, still be here, too. And she'll listen to me. While if you guys try to tell her what to do, all she'll do is disobey and scream."

Peridot nodded, confirming her friends statement. She would scream. With no regrets. (Basically me everyday tbh. Just screaming)

Garnet thought on it. She wanted to say no. But she couldn't bring herself to do it. Purple Tourmaline really cared about Peridot. She could see that she didn't want to leave her friend's side.

Garnet sighed, "I don't know how you get us to agree to such things... Fine. She can stay. But, she has to stay in OUR rooms. She can't be anywhere outside, anywhere in the living room, and absolutely NOWHERE near Steven."

Purple Tourmaline nodded, "Yes! Um, I'll make sure she doesn't get out of the house. And if she gets out, uum... I'll bop her with my gauntlet!"

Garnet hummed, "Alright. Everyone to their rooms. Peridot, it's your turn to stay in my room tonight.

Peridot groaned and mumbled, "This is why I can't have nice things!"
