Hermione's POV

     We have a day before the ball. Third years and above can go out to Hogsmeade to get dress robes for the guys, dresses for the girls. Going to Hogsmeade for a dress was possible any of the past 2 weekends but, Ginny and I decided to get it all done in one go. Ginny and I head to Evermore Dresses. This is one of the few places in Hogsmeade that only sells dresses so no guys will see our dresses ahead of time. Not many people know about this place yet and they have the best dresses in the whole wizarding world. Ginny and I look around for a while, our eyes wide with excitement. Before this year, I found it hard to have time to enjoy looking for dresses but now it is really exciting! In the end Ginny ends up with a orange strapless dress. The dress has a flower in between her breasts and ruffles coming out of the flower going down to the bottom of the dress. Ginny adds a pair of orange heels and her mother had already sent her a pearl necklace. It fits her perfectly. I end up with a green dress. It has rhinestones all along the top and I decide to add silver heels with it. Ginny said that it makes me look like a princess. I don't think so.

     Next, Ginny and I head over to the Hairdressing Salon. Ginny decides to have curls fall down her back. I decide to have my hair curled and the sides of my hair are brought up in back. After our hair is done, the hairdresser puts a spell on our hair so it keeps its hold until after the ball. Ginny and I then head back to the castle to drop off our clothes and head to dinner.

Draco's POV

     We have a day until the ball and I still don't have anything to wear. Blaise and I head in to Hogsmeade. We go in to Gladrags Wizardwear. Its the only place in town with guy's dress robes. Blaise goes with his usual Dark green tailcoat and pants. I go with my usual Black tailcoat and pants. I tell Blaise that I'll meet him at the castle later. I go to the hairdressers and get a quick trim. I then head back to the castle. I drop my Dress robes off in my common room and then head down to dinner. "Hey, Drakey." Pansy says. I gag behind my back. "Hi pansy." I mutter. She glares at me. "What?" I ask sharply. "You didn't ask me to the ball." She says, equally as sharp. "That's because I'm going with someone that's actually worth my time." She flinches and walks away, eyes a blaze. Blaise looks at me in horror and shock, but there is a hint of understanding. Blaise has no idea who I am going with so that must be a big shock for him. The food disappears and McGonagall says a few words, "Would Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Seamus Finnigan, Cho Chang, Padma Patil, Hermione Granger and Avery Hortenese come up here by me? The rest of the students may go back to their common rooms." Everyone who wasn't called then leaves.

Hermione's POV

     Professor McGonagall calls us up and I walk there with Harry and Ron while everyone else leaves. "You are probably wondering why I called you up here. As you know, the Memento Ball is for us to remember the ones we lost in the war. I have chosen you guys to honor one of the fallen. You and your partner will be holding the opening dance in honor of them." she says. We all nod to let her know that we understand. "Ok, Harry. You will be honoring Professor Albus Dumbledore. Ron, you will be honoring your brother, Fred Weasley. Luna, you will be honoring Remus Lupin. Seamus, you will be honoring Nymphadora Tonks. Cho, you will be honoring Cedric Diggory. Next, Padma, you will be honoring Alastor Moody. Hermione, you will be honoring Sirius Black. Lasly, Avery, you will be honoring Professor Snape. That is all, you may now go." I walk back to my common room slowly and when I get to Professor Snapes portrait I give him the password. I walk in to see Draco sitting by the fire, seeming to have waited for me.

Draco's POV

    I'm reading "Blue Cauldron" by the time Hermione comes in to the common room. "Hello, Drake." She says. "Drake? When did that start?" I ask. She just blushes and say, "Well, since you called me Mione that one time... I thought I'd call you Drake..." I smile and pat the seat next to me. She sits down and looks at what I'm reading. "Blue Cauldron?" She asks. "Yeah, this was the first book I ever read and its been my favorite since." "What's it about?" "Its about a pure-blood who falls in love with a muggle born. Its really good." I say. She just nods and says, "Professor McGonagall called me up because I'm going to be honoring Sirius at the ball tomorrow. We get the first dance along with the others." I nod in understanding and put my arm around her. We stop talking and after about a half hour by the fire, both Hermione and I head to bed.
