Hermione's POV

     I walk in to the field, Draco's kiss still tingling on my lips. I wouldn't ever admit it out loud, but I honestly missed his kisses. I missed him. 'No you dont.' The voice inside my head says. I give my head a slight shake. I really need to shut that voice up, it's quite annoying. Without being able to ready myself  or calm my nerves, the teachers usher me in to a tent with the other contestants. "Everyone, gather 'round." Kinsley Shacklebot, the current minister of magic, say "From right to left, which also will be the order you go in, each of you will pick out a monster that you will go against. Some may be harder than others but if you defeat them with brains and strength to grab the flag, you will gain extra points." He pauses a moment and then says, "Hermione, you first." He says. Its just then that I realize I'm on his right. Dang it... I put my hand in the bag and dig out the first monster that latches itself on me. Slowly, I pull it out.

Valcore.

     My eyes widen a bit. From all the books I've read, Valcories are very rare and can be very deadly. "Ah, a Valcore, Ms. Granger. That's one to be careful with." Kingsley says. I nod and watch everyone else pick their monsters. Draco finally goes and picks out a- "Oh. Mr. Malfoy, sorry to say but Troll of Nadroj is one of the hardest. It may gain you a couple extra points depending on how well you do." Kingsley says. My face pales. Draco nods stiffly. "You guys have 30 minutes to prepare. Remember, this round is to show off spell work. Use your brains and wand skills. Good luck everyone!" Kinsley says as he walks out of the tent.

     "Hermione, dear. Would you please wait at the entrance of the tent? You'll be up soon." Madam Pomfrey says with a pained smile. I nod and stand at the entrance as a booming voice says, "Everyone please quiet down. The first person to go will be Hermione Granger." Cheers arise and the tent door opens. "Good luck, 'Mione" Draco says as I walk out of the tent. I get in position and all too soon the Valcore comes out. 'A Valcore is massive. Its a descendent of a troll but it's smarter...' I think to myself. I run in the direction where the flag is but the Valcore is already almost there. It's fast. I dodge the rock it throws and send a spell after it. The Valcore roars and charges towards me. "Stupefy!" I yell and the Valcore freezes. At least, for a moment. He charges back at me and I dodge out of the way. He narrowly misses me. I start running towards the flag again. Only to be stopped by the valcore going in front of me. I look around me and see a giant boulder. Flashbacks from my 1st year appear in my head and without a second thought I say, "Wingardium Leviosa." I watch at the boulder floats up and with a flick of my wand, the boulder falls. *Bang*. The Valcore falls, unconscious. I race towards the flag and grab it, lifting it in to the air as the stands erupt with cheers. I head back to the tent and watch as the other contestants go. Time seems to go by fast and all too soon, it's Dracos turn.

I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while! I had a few complications while writing this chapter :/ Also, I may be adding pictures for a couple chapters, I'm just really lazy at the moment. Lol.
