Hermione's POV

      I wake up at noon, which is surprisingly late for me. I walk to the Gryffindor common room to go meet Ginny for lunch. After lunch is over we walk back to the Gryffindor commom room to get ready for the ball tonight. We take showers and then get in to our dresses. I fix up a bit of my hair then I help Ginny with her makeup. I do an orange shadow effect making her eyes pop even more. Then, I add a bit of eye liner and a light but simple lip gloss. Ginny then helps me with my makeup. She does a natural shadow effect on me with a bit of blush and eyeliner. She leaves my lips alone since they are already a rosy pink color, but as an after thought adds a clear lip gloss. Next, Ginny puts on her heels and necklace while I do the same with my shoes. *knock knock* "Come in!" Ginny yells. Ron walks in and hands me a box. I look at him and he just shrugs as he walks out of the room. I open the box and in it is a beautiful silver heart necklace with a crystal in the center. After adoring the necklace for a minute, I see a note has come with it.

I figured that you'd want to wear this. It was my moms once and I think it would look amazing on you.

     I read the end of the note over and over and smile. Ginny squeals over my shoulder. "Who is your date?" She asks, excitement and wonder rolling off her in waves. "You'll see soon enough." I reply with a small smile. I put on the necklace and look at myself in the mirror. Drake was right, the necklace does look amazing. Maybe its a bit too much for me though... I'll only wear it tonight, then I'll return it. I see my camera out of the corner of my eye and I grab it. Ginny and I take tons of pictures. Finally it's time for the ball. We walk down to the great hall to meet our dates. Ginny walks down before me and after a couple of minutes, I walk down. Harry and Ron are talking to Ginny when I'm walking down. More and more students see me and gasp. I blush a bit and keep walking. Harry and Ron then turn around wondering why so many people are looking at the stairs. The second they see me their mouths drop and then Ginny is smacking Harry. I smile and then there is Draco. My smile gets even wider and Draco holds his hand out for me to take. I take it and everyone around us gasps. This will definitely be one to remember.

Draco's POV

     I'm waiting at the bottom of the stairs for Hermione, ignoring the glares I get from Potter and Weasley. I look around for a bit and then I start hearing gasps. I turn towards the stairs again and there she is. Hermione Jean Granger. She looks so perfect. I smile and hold my hand out for her. She takes it and smiles up at me. We walk slowly towards Harry and Ron and they gape at us. 'So, they didn't know Hermione was going with me' I think to myself. She smiles shyly at them and then Ron speaks, anger evident in his voice, "Your date is him?!" She nods. "Hermione. As long as your happy, I'm fine with it." Harry says with defeat in his eyes, but he still looks weary of me. Ginny nods in agreement. "Harry, Ron. I'm sorry for being a git all these years. I understand if you don't forgive me...." I trail off. "I forgive you." Harry says and he holds out his hand. I shake it and look at Ron. He glares at me and walks away. Ginny sighs and Hermione looks sad. I squeeze her hand to let her know that I'm here for her. Then we all walk in to the great hall together.

Ron's POV

     I can't believe Hermione chose Malfoy over me. Doesn't she see that he's not good for her! I storm off to go find Astoria Greengrass, my date.

Hermione's POV

     We walk in to the great hall and its AMAZING! The Christmas trees reach the ceiling and snowflakes are falling all around us! Everyone takes their seats and Professor McGonagall stands up. "As you all know, we commemorated The Memento Ball for the fallen witches and wizards we lost in the war. The first dance will be in honor of those witches and wizards." The music started, it was a slow song that brought tears to my eyes. "Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley, honoring Albus Dumbledore." They stood up and walked to the dance floor. We waited until we were called and then we were, "Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy, honoring Sirius Black" We stood up, hand in hand and walked to the dance floor. Draco put one of his hands on my hip and the other was clasped in mine. I put my other hand on his shoulder and we slowly spinned around the floor. The dance ended and everyone else walked on to the floor. Ginny, Harry, Draco and I walked off the floor, heading back to our table.

     We dance some more and then Draco and I walk outside for some fresh air. "Its a beautiful night." I say to no one in particular. "Beautiful like you." I barely hear Draco whisper. I blush and lay my head on Draco's shoulder. He puts his arm around me and we just stay like that. Not talking, just enjoying the night and each others company.

Ron's POV

     I look out the window and see Draco and Hermione. It disgusts me how Hermione forgave him so easily after every he did to us. She literally on his lap for crying out loud! She never even came to see me when we were together! 'Well, two can play at this game' I think to myself.

Draco's POV

     The night's almost over. I don't want it to end, I just want to stay in this moment forever. I look at Hermione, she's beautiful. I couldn't ask for anyone better. She looks up at me and we lean our heads closer together. Our lips meet and there's an unmistakable click of a camera. We finally pull away and Ginny's looking at us with a devilish smile and Hermione's camera. Hermione gets up and tackles Ginny. Harry walks outside and stops dead in his tracks. "I think I've died and went to heaven." He says. I start chuckling and finally Hermione and Ginny pull apart. "I think its time for pictures now that I got my camera back." Hermione says with a pointed look at Ginny, who sticks her tongue out. The first picture is of Harry and Ginny. Harry holds Ginny, him front of her. When the camera clicks, he spins her. Hermione makes a duplicate of the picture and hands it to him. "It reminds me of my parents picture." Harry whispers. Then Hermione and I take a picture. We are standing in front of the moon with our sides to the camera. Hermione is in front of me in my arms and once the camera clicks, Ginny moves so she is closer to us as I kiss Hermione on the cheek. Its perfect. We finally head back inside for the last dances.

Hermione's POV

     Tonight was perfect. After the dance ended Draco and I said goodbye to Ginny and Harry. Draco then picked me up bridal style, despite my protests, and carried me back to our common room. When we got to Professor Snape's portrait Draco said "Sempre" and the portrait swung open. We walk in to the common room and Draco opens up his room door and sets me down on his bed. "Why your room?" I ask, my eyes narrowing. "I have a television and movies." He replies. He flicks his wand and his dresser expands to show a tv and tons of muggle movies. I walk over and look at some of the titles. "The Hangover", "Batman Begins" and " Beauty and The Beast." I pick out "Beauty and The Beast" and I hand it to Draco. He puts the movie on and I cuddle up next to him. We get halfway through the movie when I fall asleep.

Ok! Freak out moment for a second. Many readers who have already read this book to where I have stopped thus far probably will not go back and read this but those of you who do, will probably share in my shocked moment. Those of you reading this book for the first time, might go back and look at the date this book began (if it shows that, if not, I started this book back around 2013). So, the reason I am freaking out you may ask? Well, read the last paragraph. Which movie do I have Hermione pulling out to watch? Which movie did Emma Watson (The actress of Hermione in the movies) just star this past year? You're right! Beauty in the Beast! The fact that I wrote that in there years before she actually stared in the movie is just mind blowing to me. Anyways, freak out moment over! Hope everyone is enjoying the story!
