I sat with my new-found House-mates as they asked me questions and laughed at my stories. They seemed to like me and the Mud Blood comment was forgotten.

Or so I thought.

"So how's it being a Mud Blood?" One girl asked, moving closer to Draco and placing a hand near his

"I'm not a Mud Blood." I told her flatly, drinking the rest of my Gilly Water

"So you're a Pure Blood?" One of the boys asked, curious

"I am not characterized by blood but by how I act and how I succeed..." I began

"Or don't." The girl broke in

I gave her a look and rolled my eyes, "In everything I do."

"Pfffftt. Sure, whatever you say Mud Blood." She stood and turned to Draco, speaking sweetly, "Would you like to come with me to the library?"

Draco looked at several of his friends and then me. It seemed like he wanted to know if I approved. Or not.

"I don't care if you go off with tipsy girls that don't know anything until it hits them in the face." I waved as he started to stand, "Actually I think I'll head over to my room." Turning to one of the people Draco actually hated in the Slytherin House I asked him one thing, "Would you like to show me where my room would be?"

He smiled, "Well I can't go in the girls dorms but I can take you outside of them and yea..."

Draco gave me a menacing glare and linked his arm with the girl's, "Let's go 'read'." He winked and they strolled away, him still glaring.
