Your POV
I grabbed a basket that I had weaved the week before. Dusting off my waist apron from dusting the parlor earlier, I started walking out of the house and towards the village market. Yet another chore to keep me busy. At least it keeps me fit, I think Muffet is gaining a bit of weight from those pastries, but don't tell her I said that.
It was, luckily, only a ten minute walk from the mansion to the market. And when I got there, I was greeted by an old friend.
"Oh hey! I haven't seen you since last year!" Chara cries. I turn my head around.
"Chara! It's good to see you again. How have you been?" I ask her. She shrugs in her beautiful, light green gown with a single, thick, sunshine yellow stripe going across her arms and chest. It was completed with her dark brown ankle boots and her recently weaved basket.
"I've been doing well," She answers, pushing her silky, light brown hair behind her ear.
"I've been doing okay, thanks for asking." I say sarcastically. Chara puts a hand on her rosy cheeks, her red Dreemurr eyes shining in the sunlight.
"I was getting to that, just envying what I see." She tells me. I scoff.
"If your envying the outfit, then you have certainly changed!" I laugh.
"Are you kidding me?" Chara asks.
"You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen! I'm surprised Asriel isn't all over you, or any other man for that matter!" The statement makes me blush.
"Chara!" I shout. Before we could say anything else, Sir Burgerpants and NiceCreamGuy came into the dead center of the plaza.
"HERE YEE, HERE YEE," NiceCreamGuy starts. The market goes completely silent.
"THY ROYAL HIGHNESSES, QUEEN ALPHYS, QUEEN UNDYNE, AND PRINCE METTATON, HEREBY DECLARE THAT THE ENTIRE KINGDOM IS ALLOWED TO GO TO THE ROYAL BALL!" He announces. Me and Chara look at each other.
"The entire kingdom?" I whisper. Chara nods excitedly.
"The entire kingdom." She replies. Sir Burgerpants and NiceCreamGuy escorted themselves back to the carriage that began to take them back to the castle.
"Well then Chara! Let's hope Toriel will let me go to the ball!" I say hopefully.
"And let's hope that if they do, I'll see you there!" Chara squeals, giving me a hug before running off to shop. I returned the hug, and also went to grab more food for my household.

"Hello Stepmother!" I say as I walk back into the mansion, my basket filled with a variety of cooking/baking ingredients.
"What's gotten you so disgustingly happy?" Muffet hisses. I sigh.
"NiceCreamGuy announced that the queens and the prince declared that everyone in the kingdom could go to the ball, royalty or not." I explain, going towards the kitchen and putting the ingredients in the right cupboards and drawers.
"Now my daughters, this is time for you to get married, and to the prince!" Toriel cheers. I rushed back into the living room.
"Actually, Stepmother, I was wondering if I could go to the Royal ball as well," I tell her, my hopes high.
"Mother how can she go to the ball? She's just a stupid little maid!" Muffet complains. Shyren sings a disapproving tune.
"Yeah, why does she get to go?!" Shyren hums.
"Girls, girls, girls. I haven't made my decision yet. But. If you do wish to go Y/N-Ella, you must finish all of your chores and assist the girls with getting ready." Toriel says. My eyes brighten.
"I will Stepmother! I will!" I promise her, running to the attic to share the news with my animal friends. They'll be so delighted!
