At least-

((Warning (?): this fic was more for stress relief and just somethin in my mind that i had to get out, so it might be boring and have a lot of mistakes but i had a mightly need and really its just something i dont want to worry about (fixing mistakes and thinking of how to continue wise). though i may or may not continue this or give any context as to why or what they were arguing about)

Arguments were never rare in the Matsuno household, it was almost a weekly if not daily occurrence. Most of the time, if not all the time, it was Osomatsu and Choromatsu. Whether it was about Osomatsu getting a job, wasting his money on gambling, or just something stupid he did, Choromatsu always had something to say about it in annoyance. One would think these two never get along, but on contrary they are the closest to each other, partners in crime. It is because they're so different that they get along well and that they're able to bicker so much knowing that they truly didn't mean it, or that they didn't mean to hurt the other if it ever gets that far. Hell, others might think they enjoyed these bickers, which wouldn't be a total lie. That's why whenever they argued, the rest of the brothers knew it wasn't something to worry about and usually ignored it. This of course doesn't mean it doesn't happen with the other brothers, they've all had their fair share of bickers.

But what made this argument different than others, was it was amongst the two oldest. Osomatsu arguing with anyone wasn't rare, especially if it was about money. What made this one rare, was Karamatsu.

Karamatsu hardly ever argued with the others. If someone threw an insult at him he'd take it as a compliment, if he was ignored or shunned he'd continue to try to get attention or get upset just to shrug it off quicker than a normal person, and if you called him painful or claimed he hurt you in a way he'd apologize and feel bad, but never show if those words hurt. Karamatsu was a doormat that laid himself out for people to step on with pride and no complaint. A dumb narcissistic pacifist who refused to hurt or argue against his younger brothers' words or actions, even if they hurt him (which he didn't dare show if it did).

However, this doesn't mean he's a complete pushover or weak. Karamatsu can't get upset with his younger brothers, they're his treasure and beloved brothers! With Osomatsu on the other hand, he didn't show the same amount of kindness. He never calls him with honorifics, he would sometimes reject in giving him something but agree if it was one of his younger brothers, and occasionally insult him. Despite all this, Osomatsu is still his only older brother. As much as he doesn't try to admit it, he admires him for being the oldest and if something really troubled him he'd seek his advice. Karamatsu doesn't feel the need to put up much of a façade of kindness or a punching bag when it came to Osomatsu, because he didn't feel responsible or pressured to be a perfect older brother he wants to be because Osomatsu was his older brother, his only older brother. In a way, he felt more relaxed and free, and sometimes feels bad for Osomatsu being the oldest and having to take care of 5 younger siblings and not have an older brother himself to go to his troubles to. It's a pressure Karamatsu knows he wouldn't want to deal with, that he couldn't be able to.

So when the younger 4 hear Karamatsu blurt out so much insults to Osomatsu and Osomatsu blurting more back, it shocked them. It was rare for Karamatsu to ever argue, and even more so with the oldest in such seriousness and unplayful manner, not even using his usual painful speech; the older doing the same with the same serious and unplayful manner. No one knows how it started except those two, but even they seem as if they forgot what this argument was even about. Now it was like a heated battle of insults at each other.

At first, everyone was scattered around the house. Jyushimatsu and Ichimatsu were in the kitchen making sandwiches, Choromatsu was in the living room 'hunting' for a 'job', Todomatsu was somewhere away from the others as he was using his phone, and Osomatsu and Karamatsu were in their bedroom.

It was when Choromatsu decided he was tired of reading. He closed the article he had and went to head up to their bedroom. As soon as he got up the stairs, he heard the two talking to each other (but if they really talking would he even be able to hear it from here?). Although because he wasn't so close, he couldn't exactly hear what they were say. Choromatsu sighed at the thought of probably being dragged into a discussion with the two oldest idiots. But then it didn't seem more like talking as their voices were rising, until it came to the point where it sounded like yelling. Now that didn't sound normal. Carefully and quietly, he walked towards their bedroom shojo, taking a deep breath and put an annoyed face on to put a stop to whatever these two were talking about. Now mentally preparing his speech and annoyance, he slid the door open, readying to practically bite their heads off with his words to stop them as he opened his mouth, only to freeze.

Both of them were standing and seemed to only have distance due to the table in between them, as if that was keeping them from getting closer, like a barrier. They both looked angry with their hands clenched into tight fists. Now their words were as clear as day, maybe a little too clear. The words sounded terrifyingly toxic, making the other offended just to throw toxic back and completing a cycle of offendedness. It was scary watching these two. Scary was an understatement. Terrifying? Chilling? Freighting? Whatever it was, its something he never expected from the two oldest.

All Choromatsu could do was watch until he heard footsteps and turned around, he saw his 3 younger siblings with confusion in their faces. They got closer until they were next to Choromatsu, watching the elders with wide eyes. Todomatsu went behind Choromatsu and asked in an almost scared tone, "What's going on, Choromatsu-niisan?"

"I-I don't- I don't know..."

"Well do something about it!" Ichimatsu hissed.

The scene before him made him more than a little uncomfortable. Maybe it was due to the fact how serious his two oddly annoying yet mostly cheery brothers were arguing, it even settled Jyushimatsu as his smile wavered and became a little smaller as his eyes were wide.

This was about a minute ago that seemed like an eternity. They tried to stop them but wouldn't as anything they said was ignored. Now they were all the room, watching as they were shouting at each other, trying to figure out what their points were trying to be and hoping they'd tire themselves out and just stop like most bickers. Choromatsu looked more nervous that he usual does, maybe even scared, all of them were scared as a matter a fact and it was obvious. Ichimatsu was clinging to Jyushimatsu, watching with shaky eyes, Jyushimatsu had a hand over his mouth, and Todomatsu looked close to tears.

When they thought it couldn't get worse, Osomatsu decided their little barrier wasn't needed as he almost went over the table and managed to get closer to Karamatsu, gripping the front of his hoodie with one hand and pulling him closer, the other hand into a fist. This startled everyone, even Karamatsu looked shocked for a moment with his eyes widened and his brows fixed together, until then his expression and eyes turned into anger as he put his hands on top of the arm that Osomatsu was using to grip him, trying to pry him away.

Choromatsu couldn't take it anymore, this has gone to far. They both didn't seem like they'd calm down anytime soon, and if they let this continue they might actually kill each other. Choromatsu wasn't the only one tired of this as he saw Jyushimatsu jump up and go behind Osomatsu holding him tightly form behind, trying to pry him away from Karamatsu. Ichimatsu then decided to do the same with Karamatsu in case if he was also going to do something stupid. Todomatsu just stared at them, almost in horror as there was now tears in his eyes.

"What the hell are you doing Jyushimatsu let me go! This stupid painful bastard deserves it!" Osomatsu shouted as he still kept his grip on Karamatsu's hoodie but still struggled. Jyushimatsu replied by vigorously shaking his head.

"Osomatsu-niisan, Karamatsu-niisan stop it! This has gone far enough you stupid eldests, what the hell is even the point of this stupid argument you two are having?!" Choromatsu felt like he was going to lose his mind, he can't believe them!

It seemed only then did the other two notice their presence, or at least showed that they acknowledged them. Karamatsu looked around and he showed no resistance against Ichimatsu's weak grip until he spotted Todomatsu, how terrified he looked as the oldests had the be practically pried off each other.

"Look Osomatsu! You're scaring our younger brothers! Can you stop thinking about yourself and act like the oldest you are?!"

Osomatsu scoffed bitterly, "That's rich coming from you, you damn narcist! All you care about is yourself and can't even act as an older brother, so you act like a damn doormat! You just love being stepped all over on, don't you?!"

"At least I don't make them scared of me and can handle a little decent change and support our brothers!"

"You're bringing that up again?! That's a damn pathetic move considering we already talked about that, what was said was said stop bringing up the damn past! That's what I hate about you!"

"I wouldn't have to bring it up if you learned from that experience and talk but you clearly didn't! Can't you act like a decent older brother we need instead of wallowing in your own damn self-pity?! Sure I act like a doormat, but as long as it makes them happy or feel better I don't mind! I'd still be there for them and support them the best I can! Not act like a damn 10 year old and mope around and get angry at them for finally being successful, not even knowing how to control my emotions! You just can't stand the thought of being out-bested and them being able to move on and become happy on their own before you! You're an adult Osomatsu and the oldest of 6, start goddamn acting it!

"You wondered why we want to leave so bad? Why we try to get away from this damn life? It's because of you! To get away from you!"

Everything seemed to still as Karamatsu looked straight into Osomatu's eyes, looking like a wounded animal. Osomatsu felt small, as if he was being looked down on by his immediate younger brother's harsh gaze. Karamatsu said it without hesitation. He said confidently. Sure it could just be the anger that took over him and made him say it, but he wouldn't say that if he wasn't he was thinking of.

He meant it. This was what Karamatsu truly feels. How he truly feels about him.

The grip on Karamatsu's hoodie loosened until he finally just dropped his arm, putting his head down as if in defeat. No one said anything as they looked at Osomatsu. Jyushimatsu's grip also loosened but was still there just in case. Karamatsu himself seemed to register what he just said, out of this thoughtless yelling at each other, he didn't mean any of it but was so frustrated, finally feeling the regret and dread in his words. Did he really just say that? He didn't mean it! Maybe he did back then because the house felt so suffocating with the tension as he needed his older brother the most but he wasn't there. The anger he felt now simply brought back all those unpleasant thoughts. He wanted to fix it, he needed to. His facial features softened and he hesitated to touch Osomatsu's shoulder, but he step back before he could get closer.

Karamatsu spoke in his normal voice, the voice he hated so much because it sounded puny like he was still going through puberty, dropping his 'cool' voice that the older suggested long ago to speak that way if he hated his voice because it sounded cool.

"...O-Osomatsu I-"

Before he could finish Osomatsu harshly cut in, "So you really hate me that much huh Karamatsu...?" He sounded weak, wounded.

"N-No- No Oso-"

"I'm sorry you have such a shitty older brother like me...I know I am. But at least our brothers come to me if something is bothering them, not you.

"At least I'm not ignored and cause pain to others by my stupid painful existence in thinking I'm 'cool' when I'll never be no matter what I do because I try too hard to make others like me to let them step all over me.

"At least..."

Osomatsu finally looks up and stares at Karamatsu with cold and dull eyes, causing the latter to stiffen. It wasn't a look that suited Osomatsu that he thought he would be able to ever pull off. His voice was cold, void of any emotion as he grimly snickered.

"I'm not hated and my existence is wanted and needed, not just a waste that everyone can't wait until he just drops- "

Not letting him finish, refusing to ever let him finish that sentence, Choromatsu punched Osomatsu, sending up to the floor, barely able to catch himself with one hand as the other holds his cheek. Choromatsu was angry- No he was furious! He couldn't believe what they were saying to each other, this was too far, this has gone way too far to even be close as okay.

"H-How- How can you just- How can you say that to each other you shitty older brothers!" His voice was shaky and high pitched, it was just so infuriating that they would say all this, even with their younger brothers practically terrified and crying! "...Why would- Why would just s-say that to each- each other..." This entire mess was confusing and pointless, so why? They'd regret it later and hate themselves later so why go through all this at all?

The atmosphere was suffocating as Ichimatsu let go of Karamatsu just to sink to the floor and put his knees to his chest and his head on his knees, muttering something that was too muffled to hear. Jyushimatsu immediately went to his brother and tried to comfort him, hesitantly but softly rubbing his back kneeling next to him. Todomatsu hugged Choromatsu from behind, burring his face into the olders back.

They did this, they made their brothers so upset. Instead of protecting them and reassuring them everything was okay, they were the ones that cause them to look so scared, so hurt. Osomatsu couldn't handle this atmosphere, he couldn't handle the blame. He didn't want to take back anything he said, he didn't want to admit the regret he felt because he was just so furious! Instead he stood up, everyone but Ichimatsu looked at him as he left the room. Stomps were heard as Osomatsu went down the stairs. Then all that was heard was the door to the house slam. All that was left was the deafening silence, regret and dread loomed all over the house.
